Adamant
Swift Swim
252 Atk/ 252 Speed / 4 Def
Poison Jab
Explosion
Rain Dance
Waterfall

Well, it can set up Rain Dance and will Explode or try to hit stuff with 2 moves than Explode when having low health.

Calm
Swift Swim
252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Sp.Def
Surf
Rest
HP Flying
Sleep Talk

HP Flying and Surf provide a nice combo, and both get STAB, so why not? Rest+Sleep Talk is a standard combo for Mantine and others with no instant recovery move. Also here to deal with Ninetales. :D Rest-Talk also allows it to absorb sleep.

[email protected] Orb
Swift Swim
Adamant
252 Speed / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Stone Edge
Waterfall
Rain Dance
Earthquake

Life Orb Stone Edge with STAB hurts coming off 306 Atk. Waterfall hurts those Ground types or anything that resists Rock in UU while Earthquake hits those Steel/Rock types harder than Waterfall. :D Rain Dance is really only there because I can't think of something of something else to put here because now I can't use Double Edge without killing myself.

[email protected]
Calm
40 HP/ 24 Def / 192 Sp.Atk / 252 Sp.Def
Thunder
HP Grass
Surf
Ice Beam

Thunder so I can commonly paralyze other pokemon and hammer stuff with 120 BP + STAB and leave room for HP Grass, to hammer Quagsire or Gastrodon thinking they can go lol at my Surf and Thunder, mostly Quagsire who lols at both while Gastrodon gets hit by Surf. :D Ice Beam hits Grass types, who would wall me. 24 Def EVs can make it take Physical hits a little more easily. HP Grass is also useful so other Lanturn won't wall me. :D It is also my electric type attack absorber, in case Quagsire goes down.

[email protected]
Careful
Natural Cure
252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Sp.Def
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Rest
Sleep Talk

Aerial Ace and Earthquake provide good coverage and Rest-Talk makes it able to absorb Sleep and is my 2nd pokemon to deal with Ninetales. (First one is Mantine :D)

[email protected] Rock
Modest
4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Speed
Surf
Rain Dance
HP Electric
Ice Beam

Surf and Ice Beam means Grass types can't lol while HP Electric hurts other Water types, mostly Poliwrath. Rain Dance so nothing that's not scarfed in UU can outrun it after the Rain has started. Damp Rock makes Rain last 60% longer which Gorebyss loves dearly.

Only reason this isn't in OU is because of Sandstorm or Hail being so common and the hits over there are often too much for this team to handle.

It's pretty solid for a UU Rain Dance team- and it looks surprisingly alike mine, except I used Phione instead of Dewgong.

With a -whole- team dependant on it, however, you'll be in huge trouble against Shiftry. If it gets Sunny Day in, your whole team is destroyed by Solar Beam. HP [Grass] Manectric can pose a threat if it's switched in the turn your Rain Dance ends.

But in the end, it's very solid and I've used it with a certain degree of success.

I would say get something to cover, as Deviruchi said, something to cover grass types before they set up Sunny Day. Manetric can run Flamethrower (gets boosted from sun), Thunderbolt, Thunder (boost from Rain), and HP Ice or Grass for coverage, holding Choice Specs or something to boost its damage. However, Life Orb may seem preferable since you may need to Thunder something and then Flamethrower it. This is just a suggestion for an alternate sweeper that can work well in the weather.

Altaria 4x resist Solarbeam, so it may work rather well. Altaria also has Dragon Dance to its name to boost if they Sunny Day, or you can be defensive and give your team a Cleric.

Maybe I should use Hypno or Grumpig to fight Manectric? I'm considering Altaria though, looks usable. :D

First of all, darn you! I wanted to make a UU Rain Dance team ;_;

Now for the team.. I'm not liking it much. You lack a pokemon that can take sleep, so basically Ninetales can Hypnosis, Nasty Plot, and then continue to massacre you entire team, which is pretty sad considering she's a FIRE type. lol

I would recommend the following:
- Focus Sash or Damp Rock on your lead Quilfish. The main point is getting the Rain Dance up, later exploding on a potential counter.
- Relicanth is much better with Swift Swim and Life Orb, that way you have a fearsome sweeper who doesn't die so easily.
- Lanturn works great as a restalker or even a Rain Dance user. Abuse Thunder for 100% accuracy and 30% paralysis, just like Discharge.
- I don't see how a Water Absorb pokemon is of any use on this team, your opponent is obviously not gonna attack you with water moves... Steelix is much better here so you can deal with Swellow and other physical hard hitters, plus it can explode to take down another pokemon.

I honestly don't see how this team can work, a huge revamp is needed imo.

Oh, UU!

I was thinking OU. Why else would a fragile poke like Quilfish set uup Rain!

Why isn't Qwilfish using Damp Rock?

You could really give Qwilfish a Damp Rock still since Rain Dance for 8 turns over 5 will be great early-game coverage.

2 Pokemon are SR weak, and none resist. That is a problem without doubt. I don't know all of the UU spinners, and Claydol isn't a good option seeing as it is weak to Grass, but then again, is immune to electricity, so it has a shot. It can go over Gorebyss or Lanturn seeing as they both do similar jobs (only one is quicker and the other can come in on electrics and is more bulky). If you drop Gorebyss, then give Lanturn Rain Dance.

I forgot to edit Focus Sash >> Life Orb on Qwilfish. =[ Gorebyss is capable of hitting hard and abusing the Rain by a huge chuck, while Lanturn is strictly there to take Electric type attacks. I'm deciding to put Sash on Qwilfish because it's naturally fragile, even more so with the EVs I put in it. It's almost impossible for Qwilfish to survive much.
