I know that there's an official Brawl thread, but no one uses it. If anyone wants to merge this with that, be my guest...

Anyway, I know a lot of people moan about trying to connect to brawls in Super Smash Bros Brawl's Wi-Fi feature, but I've decided to have a moan about the Spectator Mode.

Wanting to earn more coins, and seeing an actual brawl, I had a go at Spectator Mode and bet five coins on one team fighting a team match. Once the battle started, the fighters did... absolutely nothing but taunts. They not only wasted my time, but also my five coins.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does this mean that Spectator Mode is actually useless? Please discuss here.

It happened to me awhile back. I bet about 20 coins on Snake on the Shadow Moses stage. The guy started to show off by doing the secret taunt in that level. After that, he walked to the side of the stage and killed himself over and over. I think he had about a -10 score before starting to fight for real.

After that match, I never bothered with Spectator Mode again.

A thought has just occured to me, I wonder if people know that they're being spectated and just deliberatly taunt to waste people's time? Or maybe that some of the matches being spectated are Friend Matches?

Does anyone think that?
