I'm asking you guys' opinion on this. Should i get an XBox 360? I'm considering buying one, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it. Only problem is im not allowed to play M rated games (at my house, that is. Halo and Call of Duty 4 i play at my friends house), which basically is half of the games on Xbox 360. That's why im reconsidering buying one. Would it be worth it you think?

Since you're not allowed to play those games, which I assume are the ones you want to play since you've given them mention, getting an Xbox 360 would — at present — likely be a waste of money unless you're prepared to settle for the games you are allowed to play.

I totally agree. All games on XBox 360 are M =?
If you're wondering if all Xbox 360 games are rated M. I believe there are 3+ games, namely sports games.
If you're asking what M is (that equals sign makes me think you are), it's a rating used in the United States that restricts the sale of games (and films?) to persons of seventeen years and older. M stands for 'mature'.

That's ridiculous, you guys. While I agree that most of the better games are rated M, you could easily find a plethora of games rated below that. If the guy wants a 360, don't turn him away just because you didn't bother searching for an actual answer to his question.

There are plenty of action games for the Xbox 360 that are not Rated M, along with any other type. While you won't be able to get Grand Theft Auto and Bioshock, you could easily get the Call of Duty games (Not including Modern Warfare) or Guitar Hero games.

Here's a whole selection of them for you to peruse through: Xbox 360 - Games Rated T

Uh, wtf? Dude, isn't CoD 4 rated M? ._.;

Anyways, as far as the games go, yes. The 360 has larger selection of games than both the Wii and PS3 at this point. There are plenty of other good games that aren't rated M, and plus...the Halo series is terribly over-rated anyways <_<

Then again, I got my 360 last christmas, and although I don't regret buying it, the damn thing has over-heated on me twice already since then, and I've had to ship it away to get repaired both times. They cover shipping and everything...it's just the 3-4 week wait to get it back that pissed me off about it T_T

So I mean, if you don't mind the potential risk of having your 360 eff-up on you like it did to me, then I would go with that over any other current-gen system. Just a word of suggestion; make sure to pick up a cooler for it, and keep it in a well-ventilated area.
I've left PC.

Why? I'm tired of all the people here who think they're cooler than they actually are, I'm tired of the way certain people get away with things, just because they're friends with the staff here, I'm tired of all the raging teen-angst contained within these forums I'm tired of the way no one knows how to take a joke anymore, I'm tired of how I've been treated by the people I've thought to be my "friends" here, and I'm tired of all the unwanted drama PC has caused in my life over the past several months.

Plus, Pokemon just sucks anyways.

...the only M-Rated game I have is Dead Rising. I must be the only 360 owner that doesn't have Halo 3 and/or Gears of War.

So, I say you get it and get all the great non-M-rated games, and the M-rated ones you play at your friend's house. It's a very good console with a great games library, so I'm sure you wouldn't regret.

About the overheating stuff, I've had mine for quite a while now and it hasn't ever failed me. Just keep it away from other eletronic devides, keep it horizontal, and don't block the ventilation hole thingies.

I personally love the 360. There are so many good games on it, and good games coming out for it.... But the prob is, most of the good games are M rated. Call of Duty 4, Oblivion, Halo 3 (IMO I don't like the multiplayer, but Co-op is good), Bioshock, Dead or Alive 4 (personally... Tekken or Soulcalibur is better), The Orange Box, Assassin's Creed, and so on. But that doesn't mean all the good games are M rated. There are so shooters that are T rated, and if you want to expand then there are RPGs, Fighters, and others out there.
What you need to do is ask yourself is it worth it. Step back, look at the games you might want to play and if you think there's enough games and if you think it's worth it then get it.
