CB Gallade. Ew.

Go with
Gallade @ Lum Berry
Adamant Nature
252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Steadfast
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Stone Edge

Now you've got yourself a good lead! Close Combat OHKO's Bronzong after a Swords Dance, and Shadow Sneak makes Gengar go cry in a corner. After an SD, Stone Edge OHKO's Gyara even when we take Intimidate in account.

Personally, I'm not so much of a steelix fan in OU. Bronzong does the job much better. Even though steelix has a far better defense stat, being hit super effective by earthquake while bronzong is immune to all ground moves kind of eliminates his defensive capability to powerful pokemon like salamence or Donphan. Also his Sp.Def is horrible, so he will get destroyed by any water or fire attack from a strong special sweeper. So I'm gunna change this to Bronzong.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Sassy
Levitate (important here, so it gives it immunity to ground moves)
0 speed IV (if this is for shoddy, if wifi, give it as low of a speed IV as possible)
252 HP, 128 Atk, 128 Def or Sp.Def (sp.def gives him better protection from fire, as he is already well protected from nearly all physical moves.)
Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock
Earthquake/Confuse Ray/Reflect
Hypnosis

Now you'll be able to wall lots of things efficiently which isn't strong with fire. Don't get me wrong, Steelix does a decent job in UU, but he just isn't OU material.

Steelic is very much underrated. he is still a good tank with the right support, for example, Gyarados.

Hold on, Steelix may not be the right choice, but Umbreon certainly isn't being used to his potential. He can't afford them here, but those two are still pretty viable pokes. Especially Umbreon, since Steelix is outclassed somewhat. That's because Umbreon isn't a wall, like everyone is trying to use him as. He isn't even a sponge. He's a uility poke, meant to help his mates.

That said, Umbreon isn't helping anyone. Why's everyone so slow?

Umbreon is outclassed as a utility Pokemon.

Anyway, Wacan Bite Gyarados can actually hurt this team, and considering that it's becoming slightly popular, it can fin itself hurting this team.

What other poke can both trap AND Wish? And pass them both?

Gallade can switch in & hurt Gya.

I'll say that Steelix going massively offensive like that is worthless, and that there are probably some better choices out there for his team; That by far means that Steelix does not have a place in OU time to time. Then again, that could be jsut my opinion ofr anything that goes BOOM!

Steelix @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def / 6 Atk
Nature: Impish/Relaxed
-Stealth Rock
-Roar/Toxic
-Earthquake/Gyro Ball
-Explosion/Gyro Ball

My favorite way to use him is to switch him in on physical sweepers rampage that is not bulky or at least hurt a bit and Explode in their face. I would only have him around for a team that really fears physical sweeping though. Have EQ around so a taunt doesn't make you have to explode, if you can predict a special sweeper coming in, Roar or BOOM! My problem with him is his lack of speed. And sadly Gengar switching in on almost anything he does screws with him so much (Toxic immune, EQ immune, Explosion immune, eww.)

In short, I'm just agreeing with Sims.

EDIT: Smeargle can do what Umbreon does!..

Still, as uber as Steelix & Umbreon is, I gotta say, they don't fit on this team. Steelix benifits by being paired up with something else that's bulky, and Umbreon doesn't helpthis team at all.

EDIT:Ah, but Smeargle isn't as "bulky". And he's ugly.

I might as well not rate the team since half the time Sub/CM Mismagius will sweep. Seriously that thing is incredible. Use the set Dark_Azelf gave you because it is so fun to mess with ^.^

Anyways, if you're going to use Steelix, It's going to need support from Salamence or Gyarados or it isn't walling anything. Both cover all four of its weaknesses though so they're quite helpful. at the very least it needs Gliscor, but you'll need something to wall Kabutops, Gyarados, and those fellas.

BTW run:

Steelix @ Leftovers
Trait: does it matter lol
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Roar
- Ice Fang

Ice Fang because it happens to be the best Outrage resist in the game =D Steelix is pretty flexible with its moveset so do what you want with it.

Question: Mismagius' substitutes can't really take a hit, so should hypnosis have a place on this team?

The idea, is to Calm Mind behind the substitutes to make them unbreakable with sp.attacks =/.

The Misdreavus/Mismagius line cannot learn Hypnosis iirc, not since G/S/C....

Oh my Gosh! Didn't I JUST say this! No, not trying to be nitpicky, but I said these exact same things in another thread! I even said that he needs Gya support! It's just so...ironic.
