Looking for a brand new start...So I decided to re-do my entire team. Luckily, D_A was able to help me with my team's construction. Rate away

Medicham @ Choice Scarf
Adamant
252 Att/252 Spe/6 HP
Hi Jump Kick
Ice Punch
Psycho Cut
Fire Punch/Thunder Punch

Similar to Scarf Gallade, except more fragile, and much, much more powerful. 480 Attack stat (some Banders don't reach that easily) With a speed that allows it to outrun Weavile, you know Scarf Medicham is frightening.

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant
72 HP/252 Att/186 Spe
Dragon Dance
Stone Edge
Waterfall
Earthquake/Bite

LO Dos gives me a mean late game sweeper. Stone Edge > Ice Fang for other Gyara's. Might go Bite for Starmie.

Metagross @ Choice Band
Adamant
244 HP/252 Att/14 Def
Bullet Punch
Meteor Mash
Explosion/Thunder Punch
Earthquake

Metagross is here to take boosted Outrages from things like Chomp, and deal some damage with STAB Meteor Mash. Thunder Punch for Gyara and bulky waters, the bane of my team pretty much. Bullet Punch for weakened foes.

Weezing @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP/252 Def/6 SpA
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
Pain Split
Will O Wisp

Nice fighting resist resides in Weezing. Good since his only weakness is quad resisted by Metagross.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Calm
42 HP/216 SpD/252 Def
Softboiled
Seismic Toss
Toxic
Aromatherapy

After realizing how weak I am to Special sweepers, Blissey comes to save me from Slowbro and such, especially those stat uppers. Aromatherapy since my team gets eaten alive by status

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Bold
188 HP/252 Def/70 SpA
Ice Beam
Surf
HP Electric
Wish

Vaporeon comes to my team to sort of counter Chomp and friends. Mixape's Close Combat fails to 2HKO, which is nice.

Well, that's my new team. Rate away ;)

Nothing glares out on this team as a weakness, so at least it passes my eyes as solid. It makes me feel like I'm losing my ability to rate teams.

I'm guessing you're using Metagross to be more offensive than defensive. I use Impish with 248HP/170atk/92def, by the way since you were wondering.

Actually, after a second revision, I notice that CB Metagross can explode on anything and KO it with that immense power, except, by a grace, Metagross. Keep Reflects healthy, and you'll overcome it.

I may use that, since my team lacks a reliable physical wall (Weezing cannot cut it for today's heavy hitters) Thanks

R u planning to wish on to toher pokes with Bliss? If not, you have no status support for your team. Consider Aromatheraphy/Heal Bell >> Wish on Bliss, unless Wish support is what ur goin for.

If u have trouble with bulky waters, go with T-bolt and Flamethrower/Taunt on Zing. Flamethrower if you want to cover zong and gross, who lol at zing, or Taunt to stall other walls that come in besides donphan.

I'm going Aromatherapy > Ice Beam on Bliss. You read my mind =D I do need Wish support though.

Ummm, oppsing D-E like your team, so I would keep Meta healthy for as long as possible, or at least until you know they aren't carrying one. Magenzone/Deoxys-E has become quite popular recently, so perhaps upping the speed a tad to outspeed Timid Magnezone so it can't Magnet Rise in your face? I'm not sure what the EV's needed were, I think somewhere around 148, but don't quote me on that, see D_A, I think he knows.

Yah, I'm definately not liking that Blissey. Nothing in the team truly needs Wish support, most are either bulky enough or too frail, and you can't imagine the pain of being taunted and set-up upon. Seismic Toss-less Blissey is a laughing stock, I'm starting to think D_A didn't give you that Blissey set, he would...cry. O_O

I've been running this, it does decently with Wish passing:

[email protected]
Calm
100 HP, 252 Def, 156 Sp. Def
Natural Cure

Wish
Seismic Toss
Thunder Wave
Softboiled/Protect

Seismic Toss means you aren't lol'd at by Raikou and the like, who set up a sub and CM in your face. Thunder Wave is still your best bet on D-E and Gengar. As long as you switch in on something other than Superpower, you can survive a hit and T-Wave, then softboiled off damage and kill with Seismic Toss. (If need be)

I notice you can't do jack to Crocune, which has become ever popular for that simple reason, many teams cannot handle it. HP ELECTRIC one's really annoy you. I suggest ditching the Weezing, it's not up to scratch anymore. You could go a very bulky Vaporeon with Haze, or simply Choice Specs. You can give it Wish and throw Blissey something else over Wish, possibly Aromatherapy.

Weezing is my only fighting resist. Deoxys-e can take a hit pretty nicely, but it cannot take boosted hits from Hera.

Wish is actually very useful for Gyara, Meta, and Machamp. Since they are my only real sweepers (Deoxys-e cannot hit as hard) I want to keep them healthy.

I know Crocune is scary, which is why I was thinking Taunt/Haze on Weezing to stop it from becoming a threat, though Weezing cannot take repeated Surfs.

Blissey with Toxic is more reliable than T-wave. Garchomp could come in and get a free SD.

I might try out Choice Specs Vaporeon, but not over Blissey. I need a reliable special wall, and Vappy won't cover it. If anything, I'll get rid of Deoxys-e for it, since it does, for the most part, the same job.

But Garchomp doesn't care about Toxic. 2 SD's and it's game over pretty much, you can't resist it without D-E revenge killing, and it can't switch into anything. Losing something everytime Garchomp comes in isn't exactly a good thing...

Does Gyarados not count as a fighting resist? I'm just not liking the Weezing. Choice Band Gallade causes you problems, and even more so the Swords Dance versions.

I'm not so sure your team is 'eaten alive' by status, and does Machamp not want status?

You do know that Weezing does not like a STAB surf coming of 1 or 2 Calm Minds, right? And you didn't have Haze as an option when I posted, so although it still doesn't counter, I was in no way of knowing you were 'thinking about it'...

If you're looking for another fighting resist, why not ditch the Machamp for a CB Mence/Bulky Mence etc? Machamp seems the most likely to be ditched, as it doesn't sync well with most of the other team members, and running Guts/Facade on a Machamp with a Cleric on the team doesn't float my boat.

But yes:

- Deoxys-E + Magnezone
- CB/SD Gallade
- Crocune
- Raikou - No Seismic Toss Blissey

Oh lol, my Blissey DOES have Seismic Toss. It was a typo =/

Guts Machamp is not meant to be a hit and run type. If I lose some power, fine, but I cannot have my Metagross burned, or my Gyara paralyzed. ABYAY 5-0'd me before, most of it due to status, and that wasn't the first time status beat my team. But I can see what you mean.

Bulky Mence actually does sound nice, should I put it over Weezing, and keep CB Machamp? Weezing is there mostly for physical attacks, but it is easily replacable. Could I opt for BulkyMence with Roar? I lack any phazers. (D-Claw/Roost/EQ or Flamethrower/Roar) It counters CroCune since it Roars it away, hurts Magnezone, beaten by D-E, but meh. Still have trouble with CB Gallade, but everything has trouble with it. And it can actually hurt Hera with Flamethrower

So, my new line up would be: DDGyara/BulkyMence/Blissey/CBChamp/Deoxys-e/Reflectg00se

I was hoping that was a misprint...>_<

I like mence over Weezing, it has 4x resist to fighting, and switches with Intimdate. Roar would be ok I suppose, but you do lack the power now to do damage, it'd be just used as a phazer/fighting resist, it won't do as much damage as previously... Gyarados could possibly use Roar over...Earthquake.

Um you have, like 4 Pokes that can take physical hits, but no super-sturdy wall. It seems wasteful to not put in one, good physical wall and be done with it. Otherwise, the team is rather sturdy.

@ABYAY - You aren't losing your rating ability, it's just that most of the battlers are getting better.

It's a 2x resist, but yeah, Roar will help my CroCune weakness a tad bit.

Gyara is my main physical sweeper. It's not supposed to really take a hit =/

Still thinking of ideas. I was considering SD Chomp over Machamp, but then I have no TTar counter. Maybe Specs Vaporeon > Deoxys-e to deal with the same threats only easier? I can also put Wish on Vaporeon so Blissey can use Softboiled.

I'm also changing BulkyGyara to LO DD Gyara. I also feel Metagross is a dead weight =/ Maybe some CBGross?

When people use Bulkymence as a Lucario counter do they not think about the possibility of Stone Edge ?

Sorry but

[email protected] orb
252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Swords Dance

= 6-0 to this team.

There is a reason the speed you MUST hit is 280 on any Salamence that wishes to counter Lucario, it simple that Stone Edge owns it regardless of the intimidate, right now your looking at 91.12% - 107.11% on a +1 (Due to intimidate) LO Stone Edge, on your mence.

[email protected] / Life Orb
224 HP / 12 ATT / 192 DEF / 80 Speed
Jolly Nature
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw

Is much better suited to that job..

Mence is also a sucky PHazer unless you are desperate, and i mean man in desert with no water desperate, Vaporeon is much better suited to that job and is helps with cune.

Choice Scarf MEdicham is a lot more useful than Choice Scarf Gallade imo. I mean Gallade is getting walled by Cresselia and Spiritomb anyways (regardless of Night Slash) so you might as well use Medicham. It just seems to always do the job better, unless you throw Gallade's status inducing capabilities into the mix.

Half of your team is restricted by choice items. With your current lineup, you're very susceptible to something taking advantage of one of those sweepers and getting a chance to set up on you, and your team (outside of Vaporeon with that really odd EV spread) is weak to about every DDer in the game. I would definitely go with Explosion on Metagross to sacrifice it to kill something in the event you need it. It's like, THE reason to use CBgross since other CBers aren't walled as easily.

But again I would really consider taking off one of those choice items or choice item users. It's more of a hindrance than a help imo

I hope this doesn't post more than once...my computer (or PC's server) is lagging a ton.

So...Should I scrap Specs Vaporeon and make it the regular Wishpasser, and make Mence bulkyDDRoost? I still prefer Weezing, but could there be any better fighting resist? Besides Gliscor >.>

Meh, is Medicham REALLY superior? I've used it and it doesn't really suit my taste. I'll take a personal set if you have any.

Meh. What did he mean by "Ice Fang that Gyarados!"? Ice Fang is physical IIRC, it wouldn't do much due to Intimidate. But then again, I didn't see the convo as I skimmed.

Anyway, I kinda like "Boom" more on Meta, but that's just me.

I would go Bite Gyara because D_A's version pwned my Starmie. :

Ice Fang would only really be decent for Celebi, and you cover Celebi rather easily anyway.

I like the new team, but what exactly is Scarf Medicham doing? It seems decent, but Bronzong poops on it. Why are you considering Bullet Punch? Is it for Choice Scarf Gengar leads? Because seriously...it'd be a waste of a slot. I like Thunderpunch and the...2HKO (?) on Gyarados, over being slept and doing lol damage to gengar. Fake Out is...>_<

I think he meant put Ice Fang on Gyarados, but I like Bite/Waterfall/SE/DD better.

I'm considering a better fighting resist (or immunity) than Salamence. It cannot handle fighters with Stone Edge well (nearly all of them) and even Lucario might pack HP Ice.

Considering Spiritomb.

EDIT: Bronzong poops on Gallade to =/ Medicham is actually stronger than Gallade in terms of attack, and has a higher defense (though lower SpD)

Salamence switches into fighting attacks, specifically Choice Band fighting attacks. (CB Machamp/Heracross etc) You aren't going to stay in on a Lucario now are you? Switch in, take the CC, then switch in something else to take the Stone Edge.

People will see through that prediction game very easily. What I want for my fighting resist it to switch in, and wall it without having to switch around. Weezing and (to an extent) Tomb can do that, so I'm considering them.
