Anyway, yeah, Frolass is right: Timid reduces attack. :P

Hm? Typo, of course. I meant Jolly.

If you want this topic to continue, we must put more thought into our sets.

Let me note that I fully agree with sims perspective on how this thread is doing. >_>

Alright folks, get it right. Try things that are unconventional, but will work. Slapping a choice item on something that's pathetic is no. Many of you are like "Oh, it's creative because it's not already listed elsewhere 8D" Why? Because it probably fails. If it's not viable, why bother? I'd like to see more description too, these one liners of "Oh hi, this that, okay bye" How about pursuading us as to why it's a creative and effective set. Otherwise, this is all pointless.

Also, try testing your set out. You can gain much more to see how it works on the battlefield than pure theory.

From what I see, this thread is going nowhere but down. :/ I hope you all can refocus. Now you all can drop this topic of creative or not. I'll just say if you keep going down this road you're on, it'll probably be locked.

I had originally going to make that set that I gave Sceptile all special moves, hence Timid nature, but that is outclassed by Specstile.

Spoiler:
[email protected] Band
Adamant/Jolly nature, Water Absorb trait
6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
~Waterfall
~Brick Break
~Ice Ball
~Payback/Earthquake
Ice Ball is just as effective as Rollout, just with a much better coverage. You won't be switching moves while Ice Ball is working anyway, so Choice Band is obvious. Psyback to strike switch-ins while Earthquake kills Electric and Posion-types.

Spoiler:
[email protected]/Focus Sash
Timid nature, Forwarn trait
252 SpA/6 SpD/252 Spe
~Mean Look
~Ice Beam/Blizzard
~Lovely Kiss
~Dream Eater
Quite a risky set, but here goes. Put to sleep, trap, and eat their dreams to recover HP. Blizzard with Hail support and Ice Beam without. This set also works with Nightmare users, and expecially Darkai.

I don't mind the Jynx set, but not the Poliwrath set. Yeah, Ice Ball gets stronger, now your stuck with the same move for five turns., Now I can either charge up my sweepers, or just switch to Snorlax or something that resist Ice & can hit hard. Unless it misses, resets the power, & your still stuck using it due to CB.

Fine then, I deleted it...
And Azelf, I'm getting the feeling you don't like me much, isn't it?

Spoiler:
[email protected]
Calm nature
252 HP/100 Def/78 SpA/80 SpD
~Wish/Moonlight
~Dark Pulse
~Snatch/Fake Tears
~Psychic/Shadow Ball/Toxic/Confuse Ray
Semi-attacking Umbreon is no joke. Wish or Moonlight for recovery, Dark Pulse for STAB. Fake Tears Can weaken many, but it's a lesser choice compared to Snatch. So HP Fighting Spiritomb is setting up? Snatch it's Calm Mind. Many pokemon would never expect Umbreon to steal away their moves.
Last slot is a filler. Psychic hits Fighters, Toxic for solid damage and Confuse Ray to avoid damage. Shadow Ball's only use is for Gallade and Medicham, whom Umbreon shouldn't be facing really, I just had to mention it.

Spoiler:
[email protected]
Timid nature
90 SpA/168 SpD/252 Spe
~Charm
~Wish/Morning Sun
~Psychic
~Shadow Ball/Grass Knot
So the opponent switches in a physical sweeper? Charm it. Charm it again before it attacks you-what will usually happen with Espeon's very high speed stat. A nice way to make physical sweepers run away and force your opponent to try attacking you from the higher special defense stat.

In advance I destroyed a Thick Fat Snorlax with an Ice Ball-using Walrein. And it was a special move at that time.

I also beat a Blissey with a well placed Focus Blast. Your point? Doesn't make the move any better, or any less suckier, for that matter. It must have been a really pathetic Snorlax user at the time.

Oh? So I guess you're awesome! Maybe, if your opponent was really dumb.

What the hell, Ice Ball is a mukty move that locks you. Once locked the opponent could bring out their Infernape and get free Nasty Plots.. and that's just an example so you could start realizing how dangerous it is in competitive battling to get yourself locked into a certain move.

That Umbreon set is also a joke. Are you seriously trying to make him a special sweeper? Anything faster with a Close Combat (which is basically every fighter out there barring Machamp) will switch on any move (Psychic will do poor damage despite being super effective) and KO Umbreon into oblivion.

Well, there goes this thread.

But before it gets locked, I'd like to post this set I've been dying to try

[email protected]
Nature:Calm
Metronome
Thunderwave
Air Slash
Aura Sphere/Nasty Plot

This set is purely for fun, as Metronome is a wild card. I wanted to do an Assist set as well, just for the lulz.

We warned you all, and it was not that much to ask. Hopefully this will serve as a lesson for future 'experiments'.

Have a nice day.
