Well at least I was practicing on male anatomy. It turned out to be something else than just practice and I like it. It's a break from seeing females all the time too. I don't know why people drawing females all the time; maybe because they're easy to draw. Well, at least for me.

I realized the mistakes after scanning it (like the right side of his body and the arm) but that's OK, it's practice.

May be offensive for those who are not fond of the swastika symbol. There.

I didn't find the face to be a priority when it came to practicing the anatomy, so I purposely left it out, unless you mean the shape. As for color, I don't see that happening soon. It was just practice like I mentioned.

Thank you for your comment. :]

Well, it's much better than I can do.
Females /are/ much easier to draw.

The fingers and the left arm need to be a bit longer.
Also, pecs don't really elevate that much with that pose.

It seems a little fruitless to criticize anatomy on an anime-style drawing, but I will say that you seem to be focusing more on lines instead of really grasping things like form and volume and depth, and to be honest, he looks like he's spent his life in a corset. I don't know what you're studying anatomy from, but make sure you're studying it from real life and not anime.

Haha; opposite for me.

Anywho make the right arm a little oonger; just a little; and yes; like Gymnotide said the pecs don't really elevate too much with the pose you have.

Other than that it's awesome; keep up the good work=D

Not sure. I tend to add swastikas on everything.

Thank you for your comments. Drawing anime is a die-hard habit right now and I'm trying to break away from it. There doesn't seem to be much success.

Wow, that is a great design you have, the tattoo remind me of the Hitler symbol for some reason haha!
O_o

I believe you mean a swastika, and that is a swastika...

Anyways, that is great, and is giving me the urge to draw...

Gunn, do you know something about the german history? no offense. that sign on his chest is called 'hakenkreuz' , it belongs to that bad guy called hitler, who tried to kill the jewish people. I think its not such a good idea to use that in your drawings. Not in that ankle.

And why wouldn't it be good to use in my drawings? I know about the swastika and how it's used in different countries with other meanings as well. I know the difference between a 90 degree and a 45 degree one. I know who Hitler is and I know about how his dictatorship left deep roots in European history. That symbol is strongly associated with Hitler, so everyone things it's the "Nazi symbol" and that it's "bad." Don't worry, I know what it is. I'm Native American and we use it too.

Anyway, thanks for your comments.

Dude, it´s really not a good idea to use Swastikas, or Hakenkreuze, how we call them. (I´m from Austria, I know what I´m talking about).
Hitler took the Symbol from indians I think, and flipped it. Then he... turned it...?? (I hate it when I can´t remember the right words)
The meaning is destructioon. And, aalthough it might be used with other meanings, please don´t post drawings with them.
(And the SS symbol too, it stands for Schutz-Staffel, his personal ... let´s say guards...)

Ok, now, besides from the history lesson;
The drawing itself looks great. But hey, make a face^^

No one has still explained to me why it's not a good idea to use it. But whatever; I will continue to with or without an explanation. I'll slap a spoiler on it for those who are offended.

I'll jump in, I guess. They seem too "up". Like he's lifting his arms above his head. Which he isn't, hence it looking a tad off.

Otherwise, I'm not having too much trouble with it. It's a bit out of my league, though.

The post above just did. The symbol you refer to, that the native americans and the eastern people use isn't what you drew. You drew the rewamped symbol used by the nazis for destruction. The one's that has a good meaning, and that you refer to, is flipped and inverted in comparision to the swastica you drew.
I think both versions have been used before the Nazis used it, but yeah, even if you use a swastika with good intentions, you're audience likely isn't going to see it that way, so it's probably best to omit it altogether.

Still, Hitler is terrible he killed some of my relatives. I know you don't mean it but most of my family is Jewish and I take that personally.
that ↑ is one of the reasons not to use it. maybe you use it too, but you should maybe explain that before you post this. Its true, everyone thinks that this is the 'bad nazi symbol' , but in some ways it is. german and jewish people connect it with hitler first and that could lead to missunderstanding. like it does here. well, I think that was a bit offtopic. sorry.

Gunn, may I give you an friendly advise?

Ask a mod to close this thread. Not because of your skills, but because of the discussion here. Erase the swastiker and the SS symbol, and if you want critiques on the drawing, open another thread.

You could stick with this thread too, but I think most posts are going to be about the symbol.

Do what you think is the best and HF,
