Alrighty lets get started. This thread is for help on a Yu-Gi-Oh deck, so please out of respect for the forum, don't spam this out.

Anyways. I recently bought one of thoose 5D's tins to see what the commotion was on it. So being non impressed with the Red Archfiend dragon that comes with it, I started poping the packs. And sure enough, with my luck, I got an Awesome card that I cant use.

So I need help building a fish deck. BTW....theese are real cards so I dont have acess to all the incredibly rare cards available. But I do have some decent cards that I could toss in. The ones I have listed are just the ones that might be worthwhile.

Mirror Force
Magic Cylinder
Tribute to the Doomed
Axe of Despair
Pot of Greed
Magical Mallet(3x)
ultimate Offering
Harpies Feather Duster
Trap Hole(3x)
Metalmorph

If I could get some help and just have a good fish deck listed with some of my cards, then that would be epic helpz.

Well, starting with those cards of yours, you can forget Pot of Greed and Harpie's Featherduster since they're both banlisted. Coelacanth might viable for the regular meta now, but certainly not traditional. Axe of Despair is sucky on account of being a lukewarm atk-boost equip and definitely not what a fish deck would need. Trap Hole is pretty much a joke because of all the graveyard recursion going on, Metalmorph is another meh card that just doesn't pay the risk right now, given how liable it is to get blown off the field, Ultimate Offering is - again - not really right for the deck as you'll want to take the most out of Coelacanth's summon, and Tribute to the Doomed should be avoided since it trades two cards for one, which is not a good deal. :<

Good fish deck? Can be done. With those cards? Not a chance in heck, given how Mirror Force and Coelacanth itself are the only usable ones you have. Three copies each of Oystermeister and Golden Flying Fish are basically a necessity for such a deck. (Oystermeister puts more fish type tokens on the field, Golden Flying can trade those fish off for monster destruction, which is great in combo with Coelacanth) Beyond those, you'll also want some other fish to pad your count up for Coelacanth. Decent picks are hard to come by on that front, though...perhaps Ocean's Keeper, and maybe even Cranium Fish (this could work nicely, as you can pull keeper out with Coelacanth and the use it as special summon bait for Cranium) or 7 Colored Fish if you're really desperate. Fish Depth Charge is pretty much a must for the support, and Spiritual Water Art - Aoi could also be considered. Pot of Avarice could recycle used fish so you can pull them out again and net you some free cards while you're at it.

Basically, you'll want ways to leverage those fish that Coelacanth pulls out into card advantage, as well as enough fish monsters to make using the attack feasible. Some tuners and synchros could work well here, as Coelacanth opens up a great amount of different level combinations for you with very little effort, making it pretty easy to set up even big synchros like Stardust or Red Dragon Archfiend. (don't see why you're dissing that one, to be honest; red dragon is murder on defensive walls)

Sorry that this is all so diffuse and sketchy yet, but my ideal fish deck would probably require some pretty high-end cards, so I thought I'd just list some of the stuff that goes well with it and let you decide what you're willing to invest in. Golden Flying, Fish Depth-Charge and Oystermeister would be the most important ones to max out on, though.

Do you get tokens for Oyster Meister when its effect is negated and it is sent to the Graveyard?

You could use Unshaven Angler as a Tribute for Coelacanth. It's searchable by Mother Grizzly :/

Abyssal Kingshark
Terrorking Salmon
Cyber Shark
Salvage
Big Wave Small Wave

I don't really see much in Fish at the moment.
They get tons of Tribute fodder... Nothing else, really :|

Yeah, Coelacanth only negates on-field effects, so anything that triggers in the graveyard is free game. I'd pass on Terrorking, though, since it's too big for Coelacanth to pull out and we don't really want any deadweight tributes in the deck. D:

True.....but Terorking is a very strong 1 sac monster in the fish department......
(btw....not dissing Sardust or red archfiend.....Just not a fan of synchro cards yet)

But would it also be viable to mix a fish deck with my Umi cards? I should still have some umi's and tornado walls lying around the attic from the fad days.

Anyways.....I might be able to move my Lightning Vortex, Royal Oppression, Shadow Spells and solemn judgement from my machine deck.....but then that'll be seriously lacking in my halt strat in that deck.....oh well.

But that'll definitly be one to think about.

Thanks for the help. Btw......on a seperate note, Trap Holes are good Start cards for regular summoning. They will always make players waste cards regardless. Someone sacrifices, They waste 2,3 monsters and a Sp.Summon card just to get it back on the field. Or it can knock off Trap Negaters which leave my Mirror Force/Magic Cylinder to do their dirty deeds. Either way...Trap Hole always causes inconvieniences(with the exception of Jinzos/Solemn Judge./ or Coelicanth) But this ones up for discussion via PM/New thread.

But If anyone has an Idea to mesh a Umi deck with a fish deck, Id like to see it.

You only use one deck at a time, don't you? Then it shouldn't matter how much you hurt that deck since you can just put it back together again.

Sorry, but you really should keep Trap Hole out. First of all, Trap Hole can't knock off anything that negates traps since it's a trap itself, and thus falls under the "negated" category. Secondly, we have a better option: Bottomless Trap Hole. Pretty much anything of value (such as those Tribute Summons you mentioned) gets hit by it, and the monster gets removed from play, where in today's metagame, it won't be coming back a lot of the time. On top of that, it hits most of the stuff that Trap Hole would be wanting to hit yet also works on Special Summons, including Cyber Dragons and almost anything that your opponent wants to Reborn.

Bottomless Trap Hole is just the better choice if you must have something of the sort, and it's not even that expensive.

But If anyone has an Idea to mesh a Umi deck with a fish deck, Id like to see it.
Again, there's a superior option to Umi, and it's A Legendary Ocean. Acts as Umi for the purpose of effects, gives the same boost stat-wise, and lowers the Level of your monsters so some of them (including Coelacanth itself) are easier to summon. As for mixing them...well, you're kind of getting into the territory of generic Water decks when you're talking about cards to go with this. I mean, ALO is actually kind of splashable in most Water decks in the sense that it makes things easier to summon, but as for Tornado Wall or any of those cards...

edit This post is actually delayed like 5 hours.

A Legendary Ocean can drop Coelcanth down to one Tribute. The reason why I listed Salmon was because it would be tribute-free >_<
Eh, Terrorking would be useful at 4-stars, but I digress at its fail level in the deck.

The level reduction for WATER monsters on ALO affects Synchro, right?
