Evryday A kid plays A pokemon game or watches the pokemon cartoon The kid wishes he/she could be that pokemon or have powers witch by the way is impossible. The kids steal hurt and do lots of things to try to be A pokemon or have powers like pokemon. I'm not saying pokemon is wrong but still more people evryday are getting more violent.

O_o; Not really. It's more of then adults who make kids promote violence. Pokemon promotes no sense of over-excessive violence. Unlike some games, like Tekken, Spiderman, and more.

Now if you're linking Pokemon violence to the battles and moves, that's very untrue. Pokemon battles are meant as fun or just to earn more respect from your friends.

Well, if you believe that Pokemon bring violence what rings something like Power Rangers, Xmen, GTA vice city! Pokemon is something that I can't spell, Pokemon is Strategy! Only the 20-30% is battles because to battle with other Pokemon when you have not Badges and your Pokemon is allready ok to beat the Gym, y to make battle. Ok if you say that you need battles I have to say that battle on Pokemon is not like Xmen's one or Power Rangers. And for example at Pokemon, Pokemon are not killed or something, only battles and win or lose. At GTA vice city you are killing people all the time, so where is the Vionelnce on Pokemon?

Besides Teletubbies and Barney pretty much, Pokemon is already the most friendly show possible. Pokemon are trained and tamed so they can never "kill" anyone. Even the bad guys' Pokemon too. And for heaven's sake, an epsisode got cut out because a gun was in it. How can Pokemon be violent?

On the other hand, before we stop Pokemon from being aired for being too violent, what about Digimon where cities actually do get destroyed, or Gundam Wing where 1000 nameless pilots get killed in each epsiode?

Thats really funny, common Pokemon are like little animals..they never die in battle...Ash and Pikachu have a friendly battle now and then!

Its not violence..

Meh, a LOT of things kids are into are blamed for violence, but seriously I don't believe Pokmon promotes violence. Yes the monsters battle but it's a friendly compertition, there are a LOT more violent kids things out there.

Most of the violence I see releated to Pokmon are kids mugging each other for cards, again it's not really the fault of Pokemon, it's cos those kids seriously need their heads looking at and probably weren't brought up right.

It's the world's rule: If something is popular, it's dangerous. Example they say, that Harry Potter is from dark side and J.K.Rowling is devil . Headless, if I can say. They haven't even read the books.

And pokmons, they have only seen when Charizard is attacking or Ivysaur is using Leech Life. They really join, if they find something what could be bad to kids.

But, it IS true, if in some family they haven't be good to their kids... But it's not only pokemon what made it, never. There's always something else and bigger,

I think.

Yes, guns were cut out of Pokemon, but in one of the most popular kids shows, Looney Toons, Elmer Fudd chases Bugs Bunny with a shotgun in almost every episode and shoots Daffy a couple times...

It is just parents wanting to blame their inability to raise children right on something else, and since Pokemon wasn't made in the US they find it is much easier to blame it and get the government agencies on their side.

God another hipocritical person who has nothing better to do then find a way to start something. This is just like the people who try to shut down music industries or sue a band. You are just finding an excuse for someone to be violent, when it is really a movie or something that the child thought was cool or wants to imitate it. It is a one in a million chance that there will be a bad outcome. Which also means that a little violence can not lead to a bad thing. Perhaps a little bit of violence can actually help ones self be more assertive and it could lead to good leading skills.

I think of it this way...Kids are not the way they are because of T.V. shows. They are the way they are because of the people around them. They look up to certain people and want to do what they do. Like for instance, Big brother wears baggy pants= a million gangster wanna bes......

Well, its time for my two cents.

Pokemon was the cause of WWI, WWII, and Bush's war.

There have been many 'Pokemon' style drug trades, and gang fights going on. For some reason, when the dealer gives out his substance, he says "go chronic!", or "go dank!!"

When gangs have fights, they tend to throw rocks, and call out Pokemon names. And when the average child has a fight in school, he says "Its all because of that ****ed Pokemon show!, ever since I started watching the show, I've been dying for fights!"

And when children do poorly on tests, they usually blame it on their Pokemon. "Charmander gave me the wrong answers" "Pikachu made me laugh through the test" etc.

So as you can see, Pokemon IS the reason for violence, and other disturbing issues too.
