I have a Europe Nintendo DS, and a Europe Diamond and Pearl as I live in the UK.

However, I am looking to buy a Japanese version on Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen.

When I insert these Japanese Pokemon GBA games into the GBA sot on my DS. Will the "Game Insertion Pokemon" still appear? Also can I trafser Pokemon from the Japanese GBA games to the Europe DS games?

Thanks in advance to anyone know answers this. :D

The DS is region-free which means that it can play DS games of all regions. In other words, I can play an imported Pokemon Platinum game on my American DS. But, this this FAQ on IGN states:

Quote:
Can I transfer Pokemon between English and Japanese games?
No. The Japanese-language DS games will only recognise Japanese-language GBA
games for Pal Park purposes, and it is likely that the English-language DS
games will only recognise English-language GBA games.

The FAQ I posted above also says that US and UK games can interact because they are both in English. It's the different languages that make the English DS and Japanese GBA games incompatible.

Well I have ordered a Japanese Platinum.

So I would be able to transfer from Japanese GBA games to my Japanese Platinum using my Europe DS?

Can I then trade those Japanese Pokemon from Platinum, to my Europe Diamond and Pearls using two Europe DS consoles?

I don't see why not.

The DS is region-free, so again it'll probably work. If you're getting Platinum anyways, I'd just wait and see.

You can trade with Japanese Diamond and Pearls when you own a US, or Europe one right?

If you can trade Japanese Pokemon on the GTS, it would make sense. I don't have a Japanese DS or games, I'm just making an (educated) guess.

I think you can trade Japanese Pokemon to Diamond and Pearl, so I am sure I can trade from Japanese Platinum and Diamond and Pearl. :D

Anything works on the DS, regardless of regions. You'll be able to play and trade with other Platinum versions regardless of the country in which you bought your DS.
