I've been encoutering a rediculous amount of pokeradar shinies...and I don't know why.

I'm not using an action replay, so what could be the problem?

Haha, that's a good problem to have. I can't say what's causing it, other than sheer luck, but if I were you, I'd hope it continues :P I wish I could find a shiny using pokeradar - my whopping 3 shinies were all just random encounters.

There is a mathematical system in which shinies work using the Pokéradar. After so many links in the "chain" your chance of encountering a shiny increases from 1 in 8192 to a higher encounter rate, if I remember correctly. The more you "chain" one specific Pokémon the more likely you are to find a shiny one. However, sometimes it's just pure dumb luck and you happen to find that 1 in 8192. Basically what's been happening to you can be compared to winning the lottery quite a few times in a row; possible, but highly unlikely. It is not a glitch or error that this is occuring, but a blessing.

Use it well, eh?
(As you can see we all wish we were you right now. ^.^)

What is meant by chaining? Like just walking around in the same grass field encountering the same type of pokemon over and over?

As has been said, you may just be lucky. But if you're at the high end of a chain, then you are bound to run into alot of shinies. But since this thread isn't really creating any discussion, I'll close it.
