Suicidal poetry is not necessarily a good thing by any means. But like it's been said, they're getting their feelings out through writing, not killing themselves. So it's a win-win (well..sort of, not entirely sure people want to read that XD.)

But all that does not mean a moderator is needed just because of that.

I also agree with what Sya said earlier, writing should never be limited. It's freedom of expression and that is most definitely a healthy way to express yourself, especially if it removes these terrible thoughts from the person's view. Support is a good thing.

There's not legitimate reason for giving OW it's own mod... There are no threads there that need to be closed from what I've seen. None of the poems are inappropriate or spam-like, and the graphic images are always metaphorical, not to be taken literally: Take it from someone who actually knows a little about poetry. Using strong images like "parasites eating through bodies" and "slitting wrists" is just a literary technique to make the message of the poem more powerful.

And why not post them here? If anything, people here might relate to the poem and give them positive feedback. Even so, if someone is actually contemplating taking their own life, no one here could probably help with a situation that serious.

Seriously, I've been known to write emotry every once in a while, but that certainly doesn't mean I'm going to actually kill myself. I'm pretty sure OW is fine the way it is...

Instead of arguing with you, I'm just going to let this be... it. While most of what you said is true, and I do disagree with some of it, I'm just going to pretend that all of it is true.

I'd like to thank the 12 members that replied to this thread without trying to be rude. A special thanks goes to the whopping number of 2 members who actually provided intelligent solutions. I'll use those for now. Just ignoring something is dumb, not a solution.

Now, I guess this would be sort of an... ending... so if someone could lock this I would appreciate it.
