We're not struggling, but we're not rich either. If my dad held the same position he has but in the United States, I'd be typing this from a yacht right now. XD But, unfortunately you don't get paid the same in Canada.

My step-dad makes an insane amount of money. I don't go without anything I need and I usually get what I want. Some people ask me if I'm rich because I'm getting a expensive car for my first car. I wouldn't consider myself rich though.

I just think I'm really blessed.

I don't have much, to be honest. Everything nice I have:

Wii - Christmas
PS2 - Birthday
'04 DS Fat - Christmas
Complete Calvin and Hobbes - Christmas
iPod- Graduating

I can't buy stuff on a whim, so I'm not rich.

Lol. Nah. Very high business position. Just using a figure of speech of I heard on Everybody Loves Raymond where Frank mastered some baseball player's signature. He said that if he got a hold of his chequebook that he and Ray would be a yacht. lol

No, I'm working class and we have 6 in the family, so...well, it probably makes us better at look for good deals. You people talking about getting cars and loads of clothes and whatever you say you're NOT rich!? Although I wouln't consider my family poor as we have a car, broadband and a 37 inch TV, but it taken a lot of saving.

Class doesn't necessarily mean how rich you are though. Plumbers are working class but I hear they make a LOT of money.

It has to do with status and when you're really rich, status is important. Even when you're rich, what kind of wealth it is can determine if you will be looked down or not. New money is supposely less reputable than old money.

As for myself, I'm not too far from being rich. I live in a quiet area not too far from a few upscale areas, in fact the area right behind my block is pretty upscale. Then again, that's what you get for living in a hilly area around a golf course. My house is worth a million dollars but that's partly due to all of the land we have (we do live in the New York City area) and partly due to how freggin expensive it is to have a house here. In my suburb, a house in the ghetto is 100,000, a house for average people is 500,000 and a bigger house in the suburbs (my house is pretty large for a capecod) is about a million. Not sure how other cheaper places in the US are, real estate wise.

My dad has a good job and we splurge sometimes. We have in our house - big flat screen tv with surround sound, a leather chair for my dad which was more expensive than the tv (which honestly was only 800), I, my mother and my father all have our own computers, we have tv in almost every room although I guess that's more of my family being so tv obsessed.

But to be honest, we got to have all of this fortune through luck. And my sister who currently lives in an apartment that is the top two floors of a large dutch colonial in an old but rich area has her share of luck too.
I, myself am pretty rich for a jobless 18 yearold having almost 2,000 dollars.

When you make more than 60,000$ in yearly profit, you are considered rich either as Upper Middle, or Bordered Upper. You are totally bulldog rich once you surpass the 250,000$ mark.

So yes, my family is rich and comes from rich heritage from Mexico. You almost don't see a 2-story house with a Plasma TV, NGC, Luxury Diner Table, Middle Quality AC, and considering Mexico's economy, middle low class PLUMBING is pretty much Aristocratic. That's my Grandparent's house back in Veracruz.

But here in Texas, I have just enough for 8 new Video Games every year and the electric bill during Christmas, and trust me, that you don't wanna know.

Exaggeration level of this post: -1. I'm serious, I try to explain my luxury in the lowest form of exaggeration possible.

Yeah, class is not how rich you are, but the job you have. So, as long as you are not born upper class, you can have a job which pays a lot and still be working class (but it's probably not most). Upper class is aristocracy, so I think it's impossible for them to be middle or working class?

Hell no I'm not rich.

Wanna know a deep dark secret?

I dig through the trash at school for aluminum cans. Seriously not joking.

I collect all the cans I can and go to the can center. I do this mostly because I can't seem to get a job anywhere...no one wants me.

But yeah I seriously dig through cans. I'm a friggin bum. I collect pennies off the ground. I also have a dark secret about this, but I don't think you wanna hear it...
My Buizel is not amused with your foolishness.

Not rich by any means, not poor by any means. Don't know how long it'll last though at the rate that the economy is going in. >> /bitter

It's been long but we can do it; let's make this our dream

Look to tomorrow because it's all we have. Turn up the music until the walls shake. What do we have?
Is it hope? Love? Is it nothing at all? We won't know at all until we make something of what we feel.
When that happens, we'll find the truth. We'll find what we want. And we will find ourselves, finally.

err, no I;m not in anyway rich. If I was rich I wouldn't have to work 40 hours a week to afford my lifestyle plus my share of rent/ utilities. (I wouldn't say I was poor either though)

In comparison to what I used to get - £10 a week from College, £10 a month from my mother - yes, I would consider myself rich, but that is only because I have a job now and I'm getting extremely large amounts of student loan deposited into my account.
But overall, no, I am not particularly rich. If I wasn't living at home, I would be screwed financially. I can live comfortably and amuse myself on the money I have only because I live at home.

Nah. XD From gambling, my dad has managed to get us a few nice things... I have a laptop and we have a really awesome TV.
But besides that, we live in ghetto apartments (Even though we're moving to different apartments yay <33)
I go to a VERY rich school though... whenever I go over to one of my friends' houses I get SO jealous. They all live in mansions. x__x; But hey, I don't have a problem with being how I am, I'm more streetsmart than most of them will ever be. And I'll know how to manage money when I'm older. :B

I, personally, am not rich. My parents on the other hand have a decent amount of money. My stepfather is a retired police officer and used to be the manager of a Gun Range. He now works from home. My mother is a Nurse. I'm to proud to ask my parents for money for anything (which isn't much now since I'm in my last year of high school) =\
