It will cost $30. It's only worth it if you know other people who are getting it. With the purchase of the Wii Speak microphone, you get a code to download the free Wii Speak Channel which allows you to voice chat with your Wii Friends. So if you ask around, maybe someone on PC is getting it and you can exchange Wii Numbers. That channel alone makes me want to get it. I hope they don't have a time limit on how long they will include the code with the purchase of the mic.

Honestly, you're better off getting a cheap mic for your computer and using Skype to talk to people over the internet. A mic'll only run you about $15 (I get mine at the dollar store, actually) and Skype is free. I'd only get Wii Speak if you plan on getting Animal Crossing since it's bundled in (and that'll retail around $50, I'd say). Otherwise? It's probably a waste of money.

I wasn't aware of that. I get access to the Nintendo press website and it says on the City Folk page:

Accessories: WiiSpeak microphone (sold seperately)

It's. Um. Not for everyone. I like things like Harvest Moon, so I was told I'd probably like it but I didn't enjoy it at all. (I played the DS version only but... still.) I'd go research the other games in-depth to find out if they're for you. It's not one of those games where, just because a lot of people like it means you'll find it at least somewhat enjoyable. You either like it or you don't. :/

Is Animal Crossing Worth It?

I have never played the animal crossing series
It depends on your tastes. Animal Crossing isn't like other games. It has no ending, and you can basically do whatever you want - catch fish, plant fruit, sell things and design clothing. I'm sure alot of creative people will like it, especially the new City Folk because you have more control over the clothes you design.

Hm, $70 is kinda eh for Animal Crossing and the WiiSpeak thingy, but like mentioned before, getting a normal mic for your computer and downloading Skype seems much better.

I'll just get the game and hope it has Keyboard compatibility.

Not to mention the awesome insects and Fish that can be caught. Gah, I hope they keep the coelacanth in AC:CF.

I'm getting Wii Speak (when I get enough money)
