these are great for your first works!

i actually have to disagree with other people. start with a couple of recolors, so you can understand the technicallities of shading. that was something that you needed to work on. Yes, I know (thanks to our senior recolor hater foxhound) that recolors are not a real difficult form of spriting, but they are still necessary to get teh gist of things. So do a couple of recolors by all means. they will definetely draw negative critisim, but at least you will get the extra practice!

the trainer sprite is not bad, he is just a bit "square". i mean that like he seems too blocky, although i know that you blew him up a bit. but the stripes on his shirt are very rigid like, he seems like he's stiff. and of course, work on the shading!

your doing a great job for a beginner...

And yeah i think i'm going to redo the shirt of the sprite.

^_^ there ya go! that's using your noodle! if ya have any questions or need help, just pm me.

anyhow, i forgot to say, your fusions are nice... just work on the shading! the bangaroo is a great a idea... just fix em up a bit! piplup/maril needs to have a different face color... the peach doesn't look to good... just work on that and your good!

why are ya blowing em up? it seems to distort them... just present them regular size! it's hard to tell what is your placement, compared to what the blowing has placed...

hm... i did not know that some games use that big of a trainer sprite...either way, they seem to be distorted still... they are stretched...

not bad... but it looks like you cut of the edge of (his) left hand... there's no outline!
again, the stretching makes him look blocky... maybe you shold display both, the original, and the stretched one... i cant figure out what your original lines were...

...ok... disregard most of everything i just said... im sitting far away from the monitor, and he just looked really big cause my computer was in widescreen...i can see him fine now. he actually looks very good, EXCEPT, his hand is cut off, and his shirt's stripping is still very rigid (thats a really bad oxymoron, since stripes are supposed to be rigid...) really it's just the stripe in the front that is rigid, the sleeves are good.

...ok...again disregard what i just said! yikes three edits in a row... i see now he has a zipper hoodie... it makes sense!!! wow!!! im not stupid!!! really, great job on the shading, coloring, and body positioning!

When resizing make sure to go to Sketch/Skew in the Paint toolbar, enlarge by implements of 100. Besides that note, there's nothing special to comment on.

Gaah.

But dun worry.
It will most likely stay like this FOREVAH.
