So do you like the new version of Pokemon Contests in this generation? Or would you rather prefer the old one in the Adv Generations? I would prefer the DPP Pokemon Contests over the last generation. They made the contests more deeper and well thought out, not to mention two new features and minor improvements such as multiple judges that you actually have to impress. The dancing section has always been my favorite part of a contest. Not many people are good at that section, though, but if you get the hang of it it sure is easy to win.

What about you? :D

The new contests have definitely convinced me to start doing them again, although at the same time, when I used to play the old contests, I liked the simplicity of them, something that the new contests are lacking in. All-in-all, I'd vote they went towards the better.

Well, the only thing that I don't like about the 4th Gen. Contests are the dress up part because I can never get it right. Other than that, I definately prefer the Super Contests because the dancing part is pretty fun and multiple judges makes things more exciting than one jugde.

I prefer the 3rd generation, because it came first and was awesome how they did the contests!

I think I like the 4th generation the best as well.
Dancing is pretty fun hahaha
The dressing up part is lame however.

I like the D/P/P contests the most. I like how it has three phases: The dress-up phase, the dance phase, and the actual contest phase. IMO, the R/S/E contests don't offer much compared to the 4th gen contests.

Honestly, I haven't done more than three or four contests since DP came out. They just don't interest me. :(

I chose no preference just because...well contests aren't that great, haha. Honestly, I think they just tried to appeal to females who wouldn't like having their adorable Cubone fight in a battle..(even though there are tons of girls who battle and like it too.)

They should make contests more fun in general. For instance, having something like a button-smashing race with your Pokemon, a quiz show testing your knowledge as a trainer, or tons of other mini-game possibilities. Then I'd totally participate in contests. ;)

to be qute honest I rather liked the 3rd gen contests better. the dress-up and dancing are lame. I agree with volkner's apprentice that they should have at least a few random minigames that vary between contests' ranks and themes. that would make them appeal more for me. til then I'll prefer the simplicity of the 3rd gen contests. (though having three judges was a good addition.)

I kinda hate contests all together =/....They're probably the most useless part of the game, and I never really got the whole purpose of them.

4th gen.

I think it has more to do and also there's no Startling your pokemon, I mean you worked up a good appeal, but oh no, that golbat just has to use crunch and make you leap up and lose all your appeal -.-

I like the 4th gen contests, the dress up is a little weird, but the new features are cool, and make it a little more challenging and fun.

Even though the third generation was the first to introduce Pokemon Contests, I still prefer the new fourth generation Super Contests. They added a lot more to it, and it makes things a little more interesting. I myself, find contests to be really original and I like 'em a lot...but I still dream of the day when they will create a pokemon game that has Pokemon Contests just like the anime.

I actually prefer the 3rd Gen contests. I had a much easier time with the contests in those games then I do now. But every one in a while I'll do a 4th Gen contest.

Well i still think contests could use some tweaking. I like the 4th gen just because of the dance contest and no startling.

To tell you the truth, I prefer the D/P/P generation of contests.
You can dress up your Pokemon for the show, and even participate in a dance routine.
