I got really bored one day, so I wrote this really weird poem. It actually turned out pretty good, so... Here it is:
A Poem for the Unsophisticated Reader
There once was a boy who was late for school
Hurry up, said his mom, or youll look like a fool.
The boy got to homeroom just as the bell rang
It startled him so that he said Dang!
If Id had one minute more of dreamless sleep,
Right now I would be in trouble so deep!
Then a sudden deep thought occurred to him,
(His name was Bob, not Johnny or Jim)
That what hed said had come out in rhyme.
Hed have pondered on this, if hed had the time.
But a bell signaled that homeroom had just ended
And someone shoved him and he got offended.
Anyways, he opened the door and fell through a portal.
He saw polka-dot zebras and garden-grown chickens
And a woman that looked like Charles Dickens
He saw monkeys of red and elephants of blue,
Then out of the portal our poor hero flew.
Upon hitting the ground he saw a strange sight,
Not a cat chasing a dog or a pig flying a kite.
He saw all the kings horses and all the kings men
Take all the kings credit and start to spend.
They spent millions of dollars on candy and games
Til the kings credit ran out, to his undying shame.
He hit all the banks trying to get approved,
But he couldnt, so he asked to be moved.
He went to a planet in the star system Zeus,
Where the food is good but the folks obtuse.
Whats happening to Bob at this confusing time?
Why, he took the kings place, hes the King of Rhyme!
The moral of this tale is so simple, of course.
Never give your credit cards to a horse.
