What's the simplest way to check IVs of a pokemon that's newly hatched? I only have about 13~ rare candies, and that doesn't seem to be sufficient for finding IVs.

Thanks.

You need to do an IV battle. Basically do a level 100 battle with a friend and write down what your pokemon's stats are at level 100. Then enter them into an IV calculator (Serebii has one, Metalkid's IV calc is good too. Just google "IV Calculator")

It's that simple =P

You, could. I think there's actually a thread on here...

Also, I'm not sure this is true, but I heard there's a hack for an IV checker.

The easiest way for most people is to use Wi-Fi Battle with someone and set the battle to LV. 100 All. Then, enter the stats into an IV calculator (I usually use Serebii's IV calculator) and the results will show you what the IVs of your pokemon are. You have to know the EVs of the pokemon or the results will be wrong. This only works if you have Wi-Fi to do the LV. 100 battle.

And as Wulf said, you can request an IV Battle in this thread.
