Who is/are your fave Mangaka/s?

Mangaka (漫画家, Mangaka?) is the Japanese word for a comic artist or cartoonist. Outside of Japan, manga usually refers to a Japanese comic book and mangaka refers to the author of the manga, who is usually Japanese. As of 2006, about 3000 professional mangaka were working in Japan.

No contest, Yoshihiro Togashi. The man articulates some of the best character plot developments and doesn't drag out the content to 15 useless chapters like most series. While some series are not as long, most of it is wrapped up in the best way possible (Such as Level E, but who said mangas have to be long in order to be great?)
His ideas are simply put: original and there's alot of mangakas that are heavily influenced by his prowess and while they're not as good, they copy it in an okay fashion (M. Kishimoto, anyone?)
It's too bad he's taking a turn for the worse with his illness, though I've been keeping up with hxh since vol. 26, the most recent.

But Togashi is still the best.
Lo, primitive earthlings. I am coming for your planet.

Fear not, this signature will be incredibly radiant in the near future ...

Until then, fatten yourself

You know it's not illness, but rather general laziness/FFXI addiction right?

My favourites are:
- Q Hayashida (Dorohedoro)
- Tsutomu Nihei (BLAME!/Biomega)
- Koume Keito (Various 18+/KujiAn/Wolf and Spice)
- Shigeyuki Fukumitsu (My Smallscale Life/My Smallscale Mistake/What do you think about my wife?)

Out of the five, Fukumitsu seems to be most influential to my life.
His autobiographies are painful to read in so many ways.

As cliche as it sounds I tend to favour the more mainstream mangakas, Tsugumi Ohba (Death Note, Bakuman), Hidenori Kusaka (Pokemon Adventures), Kiyohiko Azuma (Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba&!) and Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2) being the top four off my head.

But I've been reading other less known manga lately, Yoshiki Tonogai (Doubt), Yuji Shiozaki (Ikki Tousen), Katakura Masanori (Kurohime), and Ryukishi07 (Umineko no Naku Koro ni). Most of them for their either extremely detailed/pretty/cute art or for their engrossing stories.

Kiyohiko Azuma and Katakura Masanori being my two favourites. Their manga are just really attractive but in different ways of course.

There are two people wo top my chart.

Yukiru Sugisaki (DN ANGEL, Candidate for Goddess, Lagoon Engine (Einsatz)) She has a very nice style. Complicated and detailed and yet simple. She's got some great humar and the DN Angel manga keeps me glued to my chair (or wherever I'm reading it). Now that the series is reaching it's climax I seriously can't wait. XD d
the only minor thing is that she rarely finishes her stories. I want to know the ending of Candidate for Goddess. D:

Yuu Watase (Fushigi Yuugi ( genbu Kaiden), Zettai Kareshi, Alice 19th, ...) has stories that pull someone into them. once you start reading you can't stop. D: Her bishies are really nice, the stories romantic without being all loveydovey.
There are other manga I read and like. But those are the two that I want to read all of.
