Well it is as the title states. What kind of computer do you have? Please post pictures if you'd like.

I have a Dell Dimension 4550 Desktop with 1.25 Gb of ram and 2.53 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 processor. 120 Gb Internal Hard Drive and a 250 Gb external. Sony Vaio Speakers and a Samsung Syncmaster 731BF monitor. 2 sets of Microsofts Wireless Keyboard and mouse. Video card is nVidia Geforce Ti 4200.

My Laptop is a Compaq Presario C700 Notebook which has 1 GB of ram. a 1.60 Ghz Intel Pentium Dual-Core inside processor. 100 GB Hard drive, a Crappy video card which won't work with Aero on an external monitor. A broken monitor, and some other stuff.

And the family's computer. It's an HP Media Centre PC m7674n with a 2.13 Ghz Intel Viiv inside and 2 GB of ram. It has 2 150 Gb Hard drives inside and a Lightscribe DVD Burner. And some HP LCD Monitor.

Oooh, time for my anti-brag, as I compete for the worst computer on PC:

1.2 ghz Athlon XP (Should be 1.6ghz, underclocked due to slow RAM)
1gb RAM DDR (2x256mb, 1x512mb)
RADEON 9800 PRO 128mb (Plays more games than you'd think)
Total 100gb storage. (2x40gb HDs, 1 20gb HD)
Generic CD Drive
USB DVD-CD/Rw combo drive
3 1/4" Floppy Drive (Woot!)
Dell 17" CRT Monitor (I love CRT.)
Dell USB keyboard (with a useful volume knob)
Dell Optical Mouse

All in all, it's a 5 year old computer with a few trivial upgrades. But hey, it works, it works.

Wow. Just wow. What on earth do you do with all that computing power? (As in your desktop) Surely the only way you could put all that to use is if you were trying to find 1 quadrillion places of pi. =O

And what do you use the servers for? Are they web servers?

I...browse the web, use photoshop and sometimes reboot into Windows for some gaming goodness :3 I actually do alot of video rendering and stuff, also. I'll be the first to admit its wasteful, but when I do game, I expect pretty high levels of performance~

As for the servers, they're file servers. The one here at home is my "OMG CANT LOSE THIS DATA EVAR" server, which houses my Documents/Pictures/Music/Anything irreplacable (like the full Sega CD ISO-Set). While the other one downloads in the off-peak period at a relatives house (they have 110GB per month they NEVER use) and also seeds torrents when I have to use them; when the 500GB Hot-Swap fills up, I swap it with the one in my home server and 'check in' the data, allocating it to where it needs to be stored.

Really I'm just a super-nerd @[email protected]

Filling up 500GB on a regular basis? That's some seriously heavy dope you're doing there. I can't even fill 100gb, and that's 2 years worth. It doesn't help that my ISP seems to penalize for downloading more than 2gb within the space of 2 days. (Really, really heavily penalizes you, speeds are slashed to 10kb/s.)

I wouldn't mind a home server though, seeing as I'm getting a laptop soon, it'd be useful to keep music/emulator save states/work on, so I can share between it and my desktop.

I have to say, your computer setup is unprecedented for a girl... I've never heard anything like it. You're one hell of a geek chick. =D

Also If it isn't too much trouble can you tell us how much you like your machine.

My Dell: It's a great performance machine which has been through alot but is still going strong.

Laptop: It may not have the best specs but gets the job done. Monitor is very bad though. Light doesn't work right and broke way too easily.

HP: Very great Machine as well. Never really had a problem with it.

Well, I built it so I better darn-well like it. Which I do, thankfully. Runs games very well for the most part (Oblivion lags a bit with all of the ludicrous visual mods I have), and it does all of my other chores fine (surfing the web, drawing stuff in Manga Studio, listening to music, etc. etc.). I spend a lot of time on it and I remain comfortable (like my eyes don't hurt and such), so that's always a good sign.
