No offense to those who do smoke- i like my lungs too much to fill them with toxic gasses...
Really?? Are you serious?

No, I don't and never will. I don't want to try it. Some of my friends do but I ignore them. I don't want to get into all that stuff.

I've smoked weed before but it really didn't phase me at all so since then I haven't done it again. I don't plan to, really. :\ Smoking isn't an interest of mine. As for cigarettes and cigars, noo thank you. :]

OK this is ridiculous, people stop lying, we all know that a higher% of you has smoked,
Are you joking? This is a pokemon forum. Everyone here is either too smart to smoke, or too stupid to.

Is it possible to be too smart and too stupid to do something?

And I think you'll find that this is a Pokémon forum, therefore the vast majority of members are either in their early teens or lower or are generally quite sheltered from the real world and issues like this.

But I've never smoked. I've grown up around enough people to know how hard it is to quit smoking. And people who say or think smoking is "cool" are complete idiots. There is nothing cool about barely being able walk up a few flights of stairs without gasping for air, or needing to go outside in rain every couple of hours because you can't cope without puffing on a little stick of death.

Was homeless for six months in 2005.
Started smoking on a casual basis.
Never alowed myself to be addicted, though I may have gotten close to addiction.

Quit flat out when it was a windy day in winter, was trying to light a half-smoked cigarete when another pedestrian bumped into me. I swallowed the cigarette, filter and all. Took about five minutes to burp it up.

Nastiest taste I have EVER experienced. The filter stuck to my teeth...

I've never smoked and I don't wish to. My mom's best friend always smoked, and going to her house every other day sucked.. It seriously stinks. I'm surprised I didn't become ill at that young age from inhaling that garbage.

My older brother has asthma, yet he still smokes a few cigarettes.. Hmm, what a retard.

I've smoked before, and liked it. I get why people do it.

It'd never become a regular thing though. There's far too many health risks involved, not to mention the financial cost. I added up my parents' smoking habits, and between them they spend about $10,000 per year on cigarettes. That's about a third of our yearly income. :|

Eww... Eww... Eww...

Smoking is just, Crap Tube Suicide Bombing (CTSB).

Everytime I get close to a smoker, I get dizzy. The smell is horrible. The smoke harms me more than the stupid smoker. And these people should get a life.

If I ever smoke, remind to get raped by Michael Jackson -_-.

I've never understood why someone would pick up such a habit. Most of my friends now have been smoking for years, and each time they try to quit, they just can't. They crave it too much. I wouldn't want that to happen to me, especially with such a destructive habit.

That, and the fact that there's nothing I enjoy more than smelling as-fresh-as-it-can-get air when I'm outside. If I started to smoke, I'd miss that.

And yeah, there's also the fact that where I am, cigarettes are expensive. I want to spend my money on other things that I can enjoy.

It kind of depends for me. All my family smokes. To be honest, I really don't have anything against it. It's the peoples choices if they want to smoke or not. My discision isn't final, but I most likely will.

I have smoked before, I tried a cigarette, didn't see what the big deal was and it wasn't addicting or enjoyable at all. I don't smoke now and I don't plan to smoke again. I absolutely hate the smell of smoke made by cigarettes, I hold my breath when I pass by someone who is smoking or I try to avoid them when I can. I voted yes because I have technically smoked before.

"Smoking is dangerous to your health" That's what the government says. And they're right about that(although some politicians do smoke, how ironic).

Cigars and Cigarettes contain nicotine and tar, both can blacken your lungs, causing Lung cancer, which is the leading cause of death in the Americas. I intend not to smoke, never in my life.

I'm a kid, I don't smoke (duh) and I NEVER EVER WILL. In my country, the cigers have taht written on the box "Smoking may be hazardous to health and can also cause cancer, please don't smoke" or something like that, If they want that, why do they even make them. idiots, huh?

Smokers are idiots in my opinion, even though they know smoking is dangerous but they still do it.

Coming from a family of smokers, I can safely say I don't ever plan on smoking.
My paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother both died from lung cancer induced by smoking cigarettes.
If something is that bad for you, and is too pricey, it's just not efficient to partake in it. You're only taking away years of your life and wasting your money as you do so - what's good about that?
It might help you relieve stress or tension, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing to do - people who cut themselves tend to do that (cut themselves) for the very reason of stress and tension releasing.

If it doesn't help me, why would I want to do it?

Nope. I've never smoked and I don't intend to start anytime soon. Some of my friends do and it's just horrible. It smells bad, it's bad for you. The only reason anyone does it is to either look cool or because they're addicted. Neither of those reasons are going to convert me into doing it anytime soon.

Never Have Never Will why?

Well to all who dont realize it.

SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU!!!

There i believe i made my point
Yes, but most people do it to look cool. Others do it to look cool. Only a small amount of people I know actually smoke because they enjoy it. Most of them are trying to quit because they know it's bad. Everyone knows it's bad. Some people just can't help it, you know?

I personally never quite understood why anyone would want to pick up anything like that in the first place. How on earth does breathing in the toxins spewing from the end of a stick look "cool"? That makes absolutely no sense at all...
It's called peer pressure.

Oh, stop. There are eighty thousand members and only a small number of them have glanced at this thread, let alone post or vote in it. And who are you to say such a thing? Are you a psychic, able to tell the statistics without knowing the facts? No, you aren't, so I'd advise you to stop acting like it.

Smoking is horrible and people with common sense don't do it. The majority of people who post here have common sense and I'd believe most who say they don't. Don't act like you know all of the members well enough to tell them how many of them smoke, please. Generalizations aren't cool.
'It's been a prevalent notion. Fallen sparks. Fragments of vessels broken at the Creation. And someday, somehow, before the end, a gathering back to home. A messenger from the Kingdom, arriving at the last moment. But I tell you there is no such message, no such home -- only the millions of last moments . . . nothing more. Our history is an aggregate of last moments.'
