Doesn't it just annoy you when Christmas comes really early? For crying out loud! Sooner or later, they may move it to July.

Gripe aside, I would like to know when all the Christmas decorations and stuff are set up before the big day in your town or city, including any particular shops.

Right now, it's not even Halloween and most of the Crimbo decorations are already up - some people have even bought a tree! *grumbles*

Bit of an exaggeration when you say there's gonna move it to July, but I understand your meaning. ;D

Around where I am, the decorations go up in the town around two weeks beforehand. But there's advertising Christmas on TV already. D:

It doesn't annoy me as such - it usually means I can get my Christmas shopping out of the way now.
But the whole palaver with putting up lights, and decorations should really be saved a week before Christmas. Putting them up a couple of months early is pure craziness. :3
I have known Christmas stuff to be in the shops about 5 months before Christmas and I just find it pointless. I mean, who's gonna buy Christmas chocolate before Halloween has even been? o.o;

Sometimes they play a bunch of Christmas specials in July. So...you're not too far off there.

I think a good time to start Christmas related activities is right after American Thanksgiving. That's how it works here in this house. We watch the Macy's parade. And as soon as Santa goes by it's time to take out the decorations.

At least by the first week of December, stores and stuff start to set up. But, Halloween hasn't happened yet, so if you see Christmas decorations then you have a problem. XD It's like in that Charlie Brown special.

Christmas just flat out annoys me anyway because it's become commercial, and because the Christians that made it only said Jesus was born then so that they could tempt pagans away from Yule. -_-
The big impressive stuff that goes up in my local shopping centre is probably put there at the end of November, but I wouldn't know.

I mean, who's gonna buy Christmas chocolate before Halloween has even been? o.o;
I would. The chocolate they make for Christmas is different tasting for some reason... it's nicer too.
Same for Easter eggs, I'd love to have those all year.

Why would someone buy a tree this time of year? It's going to be dead by Christmas. :|
My family is always really late with christmas.

Our decorations probably wont be up until a week before christmas.
This.

Except replace "a week before" with "a few days before". XD; We're lazy.

I love Christmas. The earlier the better. Just something about all the red and green draped everywhere makes me happy (which is rare in the winter because I hate this time of the year). I'm already half done with shopping as well. My family usually varies from year to year as to when we decorate. Sometimes we're done the weekend after the American Thanksgiving or if we follow last year's trend, we buy a tree two weeks before Christmas and decorate then. xD

The way I'm translating this thread, then everyday should be Christmas. I've seen many a house where the Christmas lights are left on all year. Lazies. :/
We don't start too early. Usually, at this time of year, my Christmas list would be made up for "Santa" to do the shopping, but nothing else.

It's been long but we can do it; let's make this our dream

Look to tomorrow because it's all we have. Turn up the music until the walls shake. What do we have?
Is it hope? Love? Is it nothing at all? We won't know at all until we make something of what we feel.
When that happens, we'll find the truth. We'll find what we want. And we will find ourselves, finally.

That's a fair point. I always prefer Christmas chocolate over other chocolate - they say everything is better at Christmas. But I would rather save it for the season than have it prematurely.

Already? Again? Well time to put the decorations up again, nobody else will see them but we still put them up xD

Is Christmas a really big thing in the states decorations wise? Here it's rare to see a house with decorations on the exterior and quite alot of people don't even have a tree (if they do it is nearly always artificial)

It does sort of annoy me when I see Christmas trees in houses at this time of year and stuff :[ But I guess part of that is because it doesn't get really cold here until December anyway, and it's just bizarre to see Christmas decorations up when you're walking around in shorts and sweating XD;

We usually get our Christmas tree(s) the first weekend in December, and put up decorations a week or so later. Usually, we only put out one or two little nick-nacks at our city house, since we're lazy like that. But some years my dad's medical practice has their office Christmas party at our mountain house, and if they do we go all out and put up loads of decorations and crap x_x It does look pretty spiffy, but annoying as hell to put up.

Here in Virginia people like to bring the spirit of Christmas about... Six or Seven months ahead of time. XD
After School let out this year, (June) people started selling Christmas trees. Halloween I could sort of understand, but Christmas? It's insane. And if you have a Cracker Barrel where you live, and you know about the gift shop, they've already taken down the Halloween decorations and put up Christmas decorations. I, preferably, like to call this frenzy, Christmas Crap. =D

it annoys the crud outta me, and its already begun. The trees haven't arrived yet, but everything in the store I work at has begun to change to red and green. (we even have eggnog and christmas cookies for sale!)

Lulz, when I was going to the dentist last week I saw some Christmas decor for sale already. WTF? xD
I love Christmas, so it doesn't really irk me. But still, it's kind of crazy to have that crap set up before the overly commercialized holiday before it even passes.

Heh, I haven't seen any mention of Christmas yet in my town. Halloween is starting to show, but we have a ways untill the commercials, banners, and stencil comes out.

I have known Christmas stuff to be in the shops about 5 months before Christmas and I just find it pointless. I mean, who's gonna buy Christmas chocolate before Halloween has even been? o.o;

It's not even Halloween, and I see houses around me with Christmas decorations.

For the decorations my family does put up(which won't be many this year, too much of a hassle), they're usually up in the upper half of December.

Some neighbors keep 'em up 'till July. What the heck.

As soon as thanksgiving's over i guess because thats when i hear nonstop Christmas music in my Diner. Though I see some sellers already bringing their chirstmas trees to start business, what a drag. Ah but why complain, I love the holidays since its a time to spend it with the relatives and the family you love.

Now would be a good time to go christmas shopping, but i like to shop later when people go insane at the malls D=
