Sorry, OP, but I can't get enough of this holiday. I'm not a huge fan of Halloween and Thanksgiving is the beginning of shopping season so not much holiday action going on there. So in the midst of racking yucky leaves, the weather getting freezing, and tons of schoolwork to worry about, it's really nice to me when Christmas season starts early!

I love the lights...and the warmth of a living room fireplace with the tree all lit up...gahhh my favorite holiday by far :P

Besides, who doesn't like hot cocoa? XD

Town gets Christmas decorations up the very next day after Halloween.

Thanksgiving? What the heck is that?

Yeah I can't STAND early Christmas. I'm honestly sick of Christmas and soon I'll be sick of Halloween. But Christmas, I rather celebrate an alternate holiday during said day.

Christmas just flat out annoys me anyway because it's become commercial
Agreed completely

Once on Serebiiforums, some guy started up a thread where he wrote the entire post sarcastically.

If only Christmas could be extended into the rest of the year: Not only would we have more shopping time than we could ever need, the global economy would experience a huge boom. We would hear much higher-quality music as well as seeing much better movies all year round. If the weather could be persuaded to join in as well, we’d never have droughts or sunburns ever again. We’d get more presents! Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, so if it lasted all year long, the whole year would just be wonderful.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday.

Quite hilariously, my father asked me if I wanted to put up the Christmas tree day. Oh how I laughed >___>;

I think that the holidays are pushed and that we forget about Halloween and Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is an important holiday that is just over looked anymore. No decorations or anything go up in my house until AFTER Thanksgiving.

Remember the way I was, for me.

Well, thanks to commercialism, holidays seem to come in series; Hallowe'en is clearly all the rage currently, and as soon as November 1st hits, Christmas advertisements will bombard the TV and radio, and Christmas decorations will engulf all the major stores. Soon after, the residences will also start putting up their Christmas decorations.

We usually put up our decorations outside in early December, and set up the Christmas tree two or three weeks before Christmas. I always love waking up on the weekend and going downstairs to a lit Christmas tree. <3

What's sarcasm?

Christmas has already been the talk of the place where I work, a week before Halloween. I know that the instant Halloween has passed, the store will be decorated for Christmas. Other stores already are, and it just annoys me.

My hours increase during this time, since I work at a grocery store, and people need to start shopping for their holiday meals. Plus, I don't want to think about winter passing by so quickly. Winter is my favorite season, and I don't want it to suddenly disappear. Things really shouldn't be rushed.

I also just can't stand the selfish attitude that comes with Christmas.

Some people in my neighborhood already put Christmas lights up...and I'm like "Hello? Have people forgotten about Halloween and Thanksgiving?" I don't really do anything for Halloween anymore though, except help hand out candy.

I'm going to a Halloween party this year at my friend's house, but all we'll be doing is watching horror movies.

I like Christmas around now. What with the clocks going back when mornings and evenings were already dark, it's also getting colder and I'm in the absolute mood for Christmas! All the bright lights and sparkly tinsel while it's dark, cloudy and cold outside...I love it! I can't wait now! I want Christmas adverts on TV and Christmas songs on the radio...

Why would someone buy a tree this time of year? It's going to be dead by Christmas. :|

Who buys real trees? o.O Doesn't...doesn't everyone just get the plasticy ones and leave them in the attic the rest of the year?

Floridians but artificial, as far as I know. But in Virginia, people bought real trees. Christmas tree smell. :>

I don't really mind, since this is the time of the year things get chilly and you have that classic fireplace air. :D Besides, palm trees in lights, that's awesome. XD But if there's anything I despise it's early Christmas gifts, I strictly like to have gift, presents on the event, not before.
