I hope they implement a support system with the player. =/ It'd be that much more awesome. And, as Steph says, give some sort of multiple choice answers to give the player at least some sort of personality...
Which I think is the whole problem of the support system for the player.
Would you mind if the costumizable character looked like you wanted, but had an in-advance programmed personality?
I would only slightly... ^^'
I'd just be amused at that fact that we can actually converse with the other characters.
Oh, btw, there are conversations between characters and the unit. 8D

If you click that link ou see Kain talking to Kris/Chris (default name and default MyUnit?) and a few panels later you see Fuina(?) talking to Marth.
Apperently you'll be playing a big role in the Prologue and the side chapters

Battle video of MyUnit ^ 8D (on a totally unrelated note, Marth looks cute : D)
Enjoy~
Edit: More information that I got from Wikipedia
And it seems, excuse me if I'm wrong, that the Japanese release will be on July 15th 2010. Which is quite soon. :0
AND, major change~ You now apperently have the option of playing in "Casual Mode", which doesn't kill of your characters once they're defeated... How is that done?

Like in Shadow Dragon players can connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to battle against another player on multiplayer-exclusive battle maps. Players can loan characters to use in the singleplayer mode and access an online shop to purchase rare and exclusive items using the in-game currency. New to Shin Monshō no Nazo is the option to download exclusive episodes
