And it works too. Spirit Caller deck, banlist and card library in accordance. I'm also taking shameless advantage of how I'm allowed to keep one banned card in my deck. And no, there is no Snipe Hunter or Helping Robo for Combat available. Trust me, I'd add them in a heartbeat if there were. Same goes for Sonic Bird > Manju, but alas. :x

Monsters (23)
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
3x Chiron the Mage
3x Elemental Hero Airman
3x Enraged Battle Ox
3x Giant Germ
3x Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
3x Nimble Momonga
1x Sangan
3x Thunder Dragon

Spells (18)
3x End of the World
1x Graceful Charity
1x Heavy Storm
3x Lightning Vortex
3x Magical Mallet
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Pot of Greed
1x Premature Burial
1x Scapegoat
3x Toon Table of Contents

Traps (9)
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Mirror Force
2x Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
3x Raigeki Break
1x Ring of Destruction
1x Torrential Tribute

Yes, it is a big deck, but the principle it works on actually offsets the problem. Basically the idea, for those who aren't familiar with the concept of crumbling tower style decks, is to make use of cards that search other cards to thin my deck with a vengeance while the overall big size lessens the odds of drawing into card combinations I don't want (such as double Momonga or Germ). This deck can generate card advantage very quickly when it gets going, and from there the rest of the deck (particulary Chiron, Phoenix Wing, Lightning Vortex and Raigeki Break) will take these excess cards and convert them into destruction effects. Since a fair bit of the deck is literally just filler cards and my monsters will usually have replaced themselves one way or the other by the time they go down, I can sacrifice cards for discards and battle with considerably more ease than my opponent, quite quickly drowning them in a flood of junk cards. It's like gadget's estranged cousin, really, but a lot more proactive and entertaining.

Yeah, it's not the competitive deck of the century, but it holds its own here and is great fun to play, so I thought I'd share. <3

C&C please?

Eh, I think you missed the point of this deck Tomoshibi. Notice that my blood-brother up there is running three copies of Manju of the Thousand Hands, a card which he is only running because it searches something- in this case, End of the World. As for Toon Table of Contents, it's hardly a useless card in a deck where the entire goal is to thin out your deck as quickly and painlessly as you possibly can and then blast the opponent with your discard-destruction/spin effects. Since AE's running three copies of Chiron, those extra spell cards will instantly turn into shots at his opponent's backrow, not to mention those two copies of Wind Blast and the three Raigeki Breaks, all of which love it that virtually every card in this deck either replaces itself or generates extra cards for them to blast with.

My suggestions? Well... I don't think Diamond Dude would quite fit here, available in Spirit Caller or not, since while you are running a pretty sizable lineup of normal spells and quite a few of them do nasty things to your opponent when the Dude hits them, his effect will flop more often than not and adding him means trying to economize deckspace that's already pushing the boundaries of good taste in YGO decks. Other than that, I've got to say that this is such an interesting concept that I'm almost tempted to see if I can come up with a build for Wi-Fi matches in WC08.

And AE, you heard me right- since we have now both become comrades in our mutual viewing of the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, I'm hereby adopting you as my blood-brother/Kamina figure. Because I can. XD

Mm...ish as ACC says, I'm playing Manju for its role as a Gadget that fetches Chiron-friendly discard fodder. It's been working very well for me, so I don't intend to remove it. And as much as I'd like to run a ritual deck that works with something other than Advanced Ritual Art (which I don't have access to), I've yet to come up with a working build for that. I do know that it's not this one, though, so Demise and Ruin are out.

Toon Table, however, I've come to second thoughts about. Its primary purpose was to serve as a decoy set thinner which I could then flip to replace with another from my deck if my opponent doesn't take the bait or if I need Chiron fodder. It doesn't increase my in-hand card count, though, and it doesn't put a body on the table like Manju, so I've decided to eschew the set in favor of one copy each of Phoenix Wing, Morphing Jar, and Card Destruction. I do assemble a lot of junk for CD to feast on and the Jar thins more than the toon tables combined, not to mention that it's a great out for the time when my deck really fails me and I need a fresh hand. SO, revised decklist:

-3 Toon Table of Contents

+1 Card Destruction
+1 Morphing Jar
+1 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast

Monsters (24)
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
3x Chiron the Mage
3x Elemental Hero Airman
3x Enraged Battle Ox
3x Giant Germ
3x Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
1x Morphing Jar
3x Nimble Momonga
1x Sangan
3x Thunder Dragon

Spells (16)
1x Card Destruction
3x End of the World
1x Graceful Charity
1x Heavy Storm
3x Lightning Vortex
3x Magical Mallet
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Pot of Greed
1x Premature Burial
1x Scapegoat

Traps (10)
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Mirror Force
3x Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
3x Raigeki Break
1x Ring of Destruction
1x Torrential Tribute

As for Diamond Dude...I'll pass. If you look closer, very few of the spells here are actually Normal, especially with Toon Table out. With the revised decklist, only about 1/5 of the deck is Diamond Dude viable. That's just way too low, especially considering that the bottom of the deck is about the last place I want my Chirons, Battle Oxes, Phoenix Wings and Raigekis.

So yeah, no Diamond Dude for this one. That...inspired a fun deck idea for me, though. Fufuu...expect another RMD shortly. >D

And yes, the first time I saw a crumbling tower deck I had a very similar experience. If nothing else, running a deck that's 10 cards above minimum and winning with it is highly amusing. :3

Fueling Chiron is a purpose. A 1400-Atk body that leaves my in-hand card count intact also has a purpose. (In fact, building and maintaining card presence in field and hand despite your cards getting blasted is kind of the point with a crumbling tower deck) So...yeah, just because a card isn't played for its printed effect it doesn't mean that it doesn't serve a purpose in the deck. It's kind of like Toon Table's general role as a deck thinner in various strategies. In most decks where it sees play, Toon Table won't ever be traded for anything but another Toon Table or possibly a Toon Cannon Soldier, yet it's still useful because it shaves down the card count in your deck by three when you go through a triplicate of them and finish in Cannon Soldier, increasing your odds of drawing the useful cards you do want to see from your deck. Similarly, End of the World serves its purpose as discard fodder and CA replacer here without actually ever being activated. I'm running a full set of Lightning Vortex, Raigeki Break, and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast in addition to my Chirons, and I'd rather pitch useless cards to them than useful ones for obvious reasons.

But yeah, I know the feeling. I was like 'what? Did I read that right? o.O' when I first stumbled on a decklist of crumbling tower, but fortunately the person who posted it explained himself quite thoroughly, so it all made sense to me afterwards. XD Again, gadget that fetches Chiron-friendly discard is probably the best way to think of the Manjus here.
