It's Christmas for me when the Christmas tree is up, and dressed up.
Bingo, can't say it any better myself.

Well, where I live, I usually hear kids singing Christmas carols, so I guess that would make me think that it's Christmas.

Oh, and also when I hear statements like "Hey, did ya know that I'm getting <insert really cool item meant to brag here> from <insert name of a really nice guy comparable to Santa Claus here> this Christmas?"

And if it all goes crashing into the sea

Depends on what you mean by "Christmas".

In general...
It's Christmas for me when the Christmas tree is up, and dressed up.
And when I see all these cool lights while in a car at night. :P

Being specific, it's only Christmas on December 25...But...meh. :P

Eni.
Hey, did ya know that I'm getting a Wii with SSBB to boot from my parents this Christmas?
Everything ends,
and that's always sad.
But everything begins again, too,
and that's always happy.

Yep, it's Christmas alright, right here, right now.

It's Christmas for me when the Christmas tree is up, and dressed up.
And I should admit, that statement would be an answer from almost anyone.

Well my Christmas Tree looks like a bonsai tree with shiny things hanging off of it, so that hardly represents Christmas for me. In my case, Christmas is here (or on its way) when this house around the block, that is owned by the community, takes out the animation robots that are dressed up in Christmas attire. You'd have to be there to fully understand this post. =)

I guess it's usually Christmas time in my house when we set up our tree. Then every time I go downstairs I see it decorated and it gives off very Christmasy vibes (weird I know =P). But other than that, when people start setting up their outdoor lights, it also starts feeling like Christmas.

It's not Christmas for me until... usually December 21 or so. o_o; My family is always late getting Christmas stuff up and whatnot. But it really does seem to start up for me once I'm on vacation from school/work.
I usually just pay attention to this site. xD

We prepare early here. We put up our external lights on the last weekend of November (as did the majority of this block) because it was somewhat mild and we were supposed to get lots of snow the following day (but that didn't happen).

We bought our Christmas tree yesterday. Just letting the branches fall right now. Might put the lights on it this week because it takes a long time.

But all the internal decorations that will be on the Christmas tree and throughout the house probably won't be up until maybe a week before Christmas Eve.

Makes sense to me to start early. Matches up with Advent.

The kick off for us usually is seeing Santa during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

Oh, and I had to forget house lights on other people's houses.
And when you read an article on the Daily Telegraph detailing toddler's unhappy reactions to sit-on-my-lap Santa. :P
And when people start talking about Christmas parties and meeting up at the movies sometime in the holidays as a reunion for a long-dead group of people who used to be in the same class at the same school.
And when I start singing;
There are 14 days till Christmas,
There're 14 days tilll then!
There are 14 days till Chris-sy-mas,
There're 14 days till then!
And when I make parodies of "Santa Claus is coming to Town" with teachers and stuff.
And when I keep thinking "There are <number of weeks and days until Christmas day> until I get my Wii!

I could keep rambling on, but it's good for nobody's health. :P
Everything ends,
and that's always sad.
But everything begins again, too,
and that's always happy.

Usually Christmas time for me is when I rejoice with the family and open all the presents, have a nice family dinner and talk about stuff. I will visit my Grandparents over in England sometimes, but this isn't that year. :[
