As has already been mentioned, that is against the rules, iPingu. :/
Aw, dangit, I forgot. Is it that big of a deal? :(

If it is, can I go back to just before Kyogre and just not catch it?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you caught the thing after defeating the Sootopolis Gym Leader? If so, why not just go through the Elite Four again without the Kyogre?

I just used VBA speed all the way to dewford, where i immediately caught an aron.
Aron lv 10
IHURDULIEK lv 16 (marshtomp now... shouldnt have evolved it...)
Updates on this post soon...
oh and im planning...
Aggron
Armaldo
Lunatone
Relicanth (pity he can only be found near the end.)
Im going to fail miserably in the gym, because of aron's 4x weakness to fighting...

I did it :)
aftrer about 10 battles against Cynthia I finally had a bit of luck.

Spiritomb went down to a few thunderbolts
Garchomp was surprisingly easy. Had Rotom use toxic and just kept using hyper potions
Paralyzed Lucario then OHKO'd with Focus Punch
2HKO's Milotic and Togekiss
Then the problems started...
Roserade could 2HKO my whole team, One hit after a revive. So I paralyzed her with Bolt, and kept using Return from Lash until she went down.

Final team:
Raichu "Bolt" level 60
Thunderbolt
Brick Break
Focus Punch (was grass knot for elite four)
Thunder Wave

Luxray "Lash" level 54
Return
Thunder Fang
Crunch
Leer

Rotom "Nothing"
Discharge
Shadow Ball
Confuse Ray
Toxic.

The Start of a Johto Adventure...

Started on Pokemon Crystal.
Named myself PERSON for some funny ingame events.
Did all the opening stuff.
Picked Totodile as starter (so the Rival picks Chikorita and I get a type advantage).
Did all the events of the Mystery Egg and got a Pokedex.
Named my rival RIVAL.
Caught a lv. 3 Pidgey.
Caught a lv. 3 Caterpie.
Caught a lv. 3 Hoppip.
Deposited Totodile.
Trained all these pokemon to level 10 and Caterpie evolved into Butterfree.
Defeated all the trainers in Sprout Tower.
Obtained HM05.
Defeated Falkner and the trainers.
Obtained an EGG.
Deposited the EGG.

My Team -

Pidgey (Level 12)

Gust (Thank God it's a Flying type move in GSC)
Tackle
Sand-Attack

Butterfree (Level 12)

Confusion
Tackle
Harden
String Shot

Hoppip (Level 12)

Tackle
Synthesis
Tail Whip
Splash

Charmageddon

Charizard has evolved into ^

I've just realised that I haven't yet done a proper update. So, here is one - the story of my journey so far!

Not too interesting a beginning, did the usual starting crap, named myself Everest and my rival Fiji, picked Bulbasaur (Rock gets a major advantage over Charizard), and swept through the game until Mt. Moon, where it started getting interesting. I caught a Geodude, which remained my only pokemon for a very long time. It's still about 20 levels ahead of all my others.

Misty was a real challenge. It took a while before I got lucky and survived a single Water Pulse, allowing me to Self-Destruct and win the Cascadebadge. Lt. Surge was a joke, swept through his gym with Magnitude. Then, after a lot of work, I made it to Fuschia without getting another gym badge. I caught a Rhyhorn in the Safari Zone, but after training it a little I realised it wasn't much cop, so I swept through the gym with Graveler and headed to Cinnabar

I used Repels and avoided the trainers, water-types are to be avoided with two Rock/Ground pokemon. I got to Cinnabar and got two fossil pokemon - Omanyte and Aerodactyl. I trained Aerodactyl in Viridian and Omanyte in Mt Moon/Rock Tunnel, before finding and knocking out a few trainers I'd avoided. Once Aerodactyl was levelled enough, I used him to beat Erika's gym.

Then came Saffron City. I beat the Rockets with Omanyte and Aerodactyl (I'd trained Omanyte in Cinnabar gym a bit first). Giovanni almost knocked me out, but Graveler is still high enough level that it can beat most things without breaking a sweat Kangaskhan almost got lucky with a Critical hit Mega Punch, but a single Earthquake took it down. Then I went through Saffron gym with Aerodactyl's Bite/Aerial Ace. Sabrina was a little annoying, spamming Hyper Potions and Recover, but I managed to get her down eventually. Then the game shut down, and I lost a lot of data, so I did this whole segment again. Grr.

I flew to Cinnabar and knocked out Blaine easily enough with Omanyte's Surf. Bill took be to One Island, I saved and then I came here and wrote this!

My team:

Filler/Graveler - Female
Level 54
Rock Head
- Brick Break
- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Review so far: An absolute game-breaker at the moment due to its insanely high level. I rarely bring her out, because the others need experience, but when I do she beats anything she faces.

Mfanwy/Aerodactyl - Male (I'll give geek points to whoever gets the reference in the nickname)
Level 36
Pressure
- Aerial Ace
- Ancientpower
- Bite
- Supersonic

A very useful addition to the team. It can combat Grass-types and has high enough speed and attack to take down most types. It's not the best moveset in the world, but it will be when I add Fire Blast and Hyper Beam.

Ollie/Omanyte - Male
Level 38
Swift Swim
- Mud Shot
- Withdraw
- Surf
- Ice Beam

Not the best stats in the world, but its ability to learn powerful moves like Surf and Ice Beam has really helped a lot. He gets bonus points for being the only one in my line-up that doesn't take Super-effective damage from Water.

Duggan/Rhyhorn - Male
Level 31
Lightningrod
- Dig
- Strength
- Shock Wave
- Rock Blast

Very nearly useless. His level-up moveset is terrible, very few STAB moves, and his special attack is too low to take advantage of the TMs he can learn. He's only still on my team as back-up.

So, after doing the Iron Island stuff for mah Riolu, I threw the XP Share on it, and took on the Electric gym with ease (Even the Octillery, Yay for being 10-12 levels overleveled!).

Might train my Riolu more, might not, let's go see about beating the challenge!

Oh wait... I have Victory Road still >.<

Finally... finally... made it through Victory Road... after an annoying fight with a Gyarados. Dang them. Dang them all to PokeHeck! >.>

Anyways, I might attempt the E4, I'll see what happens, if not, done tomorrow :D

But i used Take Down and Aron took recoil damage. Explain that.
Because you're Aron did not have Rock Head. It had Sturdy. Therefore, you take recoil damage.

Oh, and someone else finished the electric challange before me? But... I wanted to be the guy! (SOMEONE here has to know the reference.)

Dodrio "Siren" level 40
Rage (accidently deleted Drill Peck)
Fury Attack
Fly
Growl

Snorlax "Santa" level 40
Body Slam
Rest
Rock Slide
Surf

Wigglytuff "Ira" level 40
Sing
Bubblebeam
Take Down

I'm Finished!

Got to Cynthia last night, with only 3 revives left. Tried her once or twice and couldn't do it, but I kept my save for one more try this morning, where basically, I close combatted everything to death, except the Roserade.

Low-Quality Picture of my Hall of Fame:

http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt257/darkshiek333/DSC01679.jpg

EDIT: It was too big IMO, so just added a link.

Click on it and there's another one, slightly higher quality, but farther away.

Final, Final Team:

Chummy/Infernape Level 66
Holding a Razor Claw (Very useful against Cynthia)

Close Combat (Epic Win)
Return (Meh)
Flare Blitz (Flamethrower woulda been cooler >.>)
Mach Punch (Rawr!)

204 HP
167 Defense
171 Sp. Atk
98 Sp. Defense
209 Speed

^- The only pokemon that did anything really is this guy, and it was a solo run with him for awhile.

Leuthas/Lucario Level 40
Holding Exp. Share
Quick Attack (Killed a single E4 pokemon, so, it's ok)
Me First (Killed atleast 2 E4 Pokemon, probably wouldn't of made it through the ground person without this)
Aura Sphere (Never Used)
Swords Dance (Never Used)

Won't bother with the stats.

HM Slaves, Lvl 24 Starly (Fly, Defog), Lvl 11 Bidoof (Cut), Lvl 10 Buizel (Surf, Waterfall), Lvl 13 Onix (Rock Smash, Strength, Rock Climb).

Anyways.. I gotta go. Fun Challenge.
I like penguins. Alot.

Done! The Elite Four was easy with Clefable, she owned everything :P.

Final team:

Dodrio "Siren" level 50
Rage
Tri Attack
Fly
Growl

Review: Fly saved me a few times although overall he was not very useful due to lack of type coverage.

Snorlax "Santa" level 51
Double Edge
Rest
Rock Slide
Surf

Review: Dominating, huge hp and attack power made him a force to be reckoned with

Wigglytuff "Ira" level 49
Sing
Bubblebeam
Take Down
Tri Attack

Review: Clefable lite, nothing she can do that Clefable cant do better.

Clefable "Venus" level 53
Thunder Bolt
Ice Beam
Psychic
Fire Blast

Review: Dominating, huge movepool, good stats. The best.
Kangaskhan "Dynamo" level 49
Mega Punch
Hyper Beam
Earthquake
Submission

Review: Snorlax lite, nearly the same move pool, but Kanga doesnt have the stats.

Time for Gold :).

Planned team:
Furret
Togetic
Granbull
Ursaring
Stantler
Miltank

although that will probably change :P
