Yep, I just wasn't sure if it was okay to say it.

For some reason I can never find the original cover of Music Hour on youtube. I found an MP3, but I thought it was strange that all I could find was the Ouendan cover.

I also like VISTA by Going Under Ground.

I don't think my tastes have too much of a genre range, there's just so many great japanese bands.

My absolute favourites would have to be; Perfume, Maximum The Hormone, Buono!, ONE OK ROCK and Base Ball Bear. Though I find myself listening to UVERworld, Emi Hinouchi (and a little M-Flo) Bump Of Chicken and YUI from time to time. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR's remake of Hot Limit is <3. O have to edit this, how could I forget Porno Grafitti, unfortunatly I havn't heard too much of them but I'm loving Itai Tachiichi ft. Perfume.

My japanese playlist is expanding everyday :P

You like Buono?

I like them too, 'specially Airi, Rottara is my favorite single of theirs.

I like Morning Musume more than them, though.
Do you know about them, or do yopu only know about Buono from Shugo Chara and not Hello!Project?

@ the first post - Hyde? Wouldn't he basically just go with L'Arc en Ciel? He doesn't do too much solo stuff.

Anyhoo.. my random list, or at least the one's I can think of, since I like a pretty good number of J-bands.

Dir en grey, L'arc~en~Ciel, Bump of Chicken, YUI, UVERworld, Orange Range, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Buono, Ayumi Hamasaki, Do As Infinity, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Sadie, Nami Tamaki, Bon-Bon Blanco, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, Phantasmagoria, GLAY, The Gazette, BoA, Flow, Utada Hikaru, KENN, Knotlamp, Nana Mizuki, Miyavi, To Destination, Nakagauchi Masataka, Girugamesh, SCHWEIN, Buck-Tick, Kanon Wakeshima, Alice Nine, An Cafe.. I like more than that, and I've heard alot more that I like, and just dont remember the band names. D':

Yeah.. and believe it or not, I'm not J-rock obsessed. o_O;

Um, well actually he has a lot of solo stuff. I prefer just him rather than the band as a whole.

Fun fact of the week: Did you know that with 252 SpD EVs, Bold Cloyster's SpD increases by 50%?

He's also got a side project called Vamps going, which I guess is his current focus since L'arc~en~Ciel is on a hiatus at the moment.
Yeah, Vamps is pretty good, but I prefer him solo, or with L'arc.

J-Hip Hop always sounded strange to me. It's somewhat cute like "Flash" by HALCALI has a mix including J- Hip Hop.
It does, but I don't label my music files "J-Hip-Hop", I label it "Japanese Hip-Hop". For me, it is like the only "J" that sounds better if you just say the whole thing.

OH...my mistake o_o'

Well, then have you tried the artist I mentioned? Two other good Japanese Hip-Hop groups are SOUL'd OUT and Heartsdales.

Meh, I know it is nothing like normal Hip-Hop but most people I know who hate Hip-Hop, love Japanese Hip-Hop.
Owell, it is just a matter of taste and opinon :o

I heard that JRap isn't that good. :\
I would say that all depends on what you listen to. There are tons of horrible artists out there, but Japan has its fair share of good J-rap. Zeebra, mflo, Dragon Ash, ISSA, Shonannokaze Da Pump, there are a lot of good J-rap acts out there to be found. I'd recommend Dragon Ash, Zeebra, and Shonannokaze, Zeebra and Dragon Ash are a bit older, but I've always loved their music, and Shonan is just fun to listen to for jumpy songs.
