First off, more choice in pokemon in the grass at the beginning. Usually it's bugs, and normal types. There should be more variety! Second, you should be able to become the actual champion and get calls on the PokeNav about battles. I have more but I can't think right now.
I'll probably post again ;]

Copied from a thread I made on another forum, where I'm working on a Platinum hack.

...THe opening professor scene is replaced with an Ancient Legend of the Kanada region, before it had cities built in it.
It involves all teams from previous games, and is fairly serious when it comes to storyline. It should be a serious game, despite things like Pizagy, Pizza Delivery and "With the American Military".
Basically, a main plot turn is that although you start out fighting against Team Rocket, you end up joining forces with them in order to stop the spreading destruction caused by Shaado, who controls the Team _______ minions, using them to do his bidding.
All legendaries will be encountered in-game and be catchable in-game. There will be, however, one unique legend catchable in each version which will be the equivalent of Ho-Oh/Lugia, Groudon/Kyogre, and Dialga/Palkia.
The various teams will use their respective staple (crap) teams, with Poison/Psychic/Normal remaining with Team Rocket, Water/Dark/Poison remaining with Team Aqua, Fire/Dark/Poison/Rock remaining with Team Magma, and Bug/Normal/Poison/Dark/ALOT remaining with Team Galactic. I'm toying with the idea of working in Cipher somehow.
We need some distinctly evil and some distinctly good Pokemon...
Um, I think the story should take place 45 years in the future. That would make the protagonists in the other games around 60 in this one - the perfect age for a mentor character/professor. Also, technology improves A LOT in 200 years, so if we did do something like that it would end up being Pokemon in Space or something.

On another note, I think that the final boss should be some sort of super Pokemon that is uncatchable, and is so good you need the help of a bunch of people (Double Battle Style) to beat it. I'm talking 1000+ HP sorta boss here.

Another completely unrelated idea: We need a love interest. It would make this (Serious X 10) if we did it properly.
Umm... perhaps you can read the story thus far. I`ll be polishing it up quite a bit tonight, but...
Also, [OTHER] which is mentioned IS the love interest.
Also, I'll be updating it tonight, but [OTHER] becomes Pearl and [PLAYER] becomes Diem. Also, we'll shorten it to 100 years after the War, because the war lasted 50 years. Not alot made it through. So it's taken nearly 100 years to come close to restoring what used to exist.

Anyways, current version of the storyline, prone to many changes tonight:

THE LEGEND

There is a legend of a time long ago, when the land was still in its youth.
There is a legend of a time of war, of famine, of terrible weapons and utter destruction, lasting nearly 50 years, a seemingly unending war between those who had once been merely organized criminals and the remaining scattered Pokemon trainers and rangers.
It is said that a being of true evil, not a human, perhaps not even a Pokemon, was the source of the war, bringing a curse to the land.
All was thought to be lost.

Two young Pokemon trainers rose up, natives of the Kanada region, and set to strike down the source of the evil, the bringer of doom. When all hope was lost, one of them sacrificed themself, allowing the other to call upon the power of a two-faced orb to seal the shadows away.

The world recovered. Hope returned. The Pokemon Suicune began to heal the waters of the world, and still continues doing so to this day. Palkia, god of space, emerged from the other plane on which he resides, and restored the Spear Pillar, which had been destroyed in the war. Many other Pokemon we know only in the legends aided in the regeneration of the world, as did mundane Pokemon.

It has been nearly 200 years, and all seems to be quiet.

Yet something stirs, restless in its sleep, waiting for the chance, the opportunity, to once again plunge the world into darkness...

Here begins our story...

First, what is your name?

<Activate name script>

And if you had to pick a random guy's name?

PROLOGUE: BEWARE OF SWIPLE

<Go to Toron Town>

This is assuming that you are playing as a male character.

<Living room type area, fairly primitive style, few signs of modern luxuries. What appears to be a gun rack on the right side of the room.>
[PLAYER]'s Mom: [PLAYER], your friend, [OTHER] is here. You were going hunting, I assume?
<Enter [PLAYER], a young man of about 16-18. No more damn 10-year-olds.>
[PLAYER]: Yes. Hopefully we catch something large. Maybe a Piloswine!
<[PLAYER] heading towards gun rack>
[PLAYER]'s Mom: Alright, but be careful. And watch out for Mamoswines! They can be brutal if they think you're threatening their newborns, Swiple or something they're called.
<[PLAYER] turns around.>
[PLAYER]: ...
[PLAYER]'s Mom: What is it?
[PLAYER]: They're called Swinub, Mom.
[PLAYER]'s Mom: Yes, whatever. Well, go on, [OTHER] is waiting.
{[PLAYER] received Hunting Rifle!
Hunting Rifle was placed in the Key Items pocket.}
<[PLAYER] can now exit the house or go up to their room. Outside, there are several houses, but Torontown is fairly small. There is no Professor's lab. The Kanada region has been cut off from the rest of the world for many decades, and there is much unease about the silence. Last that was heard, scientists in the Orre region had rediscovered a technology from before the Great War that seemed to have once been used to increase the power of Pokemon, at the cost of their capacity for compassion. In the Kanto region, the revival of the long-dead criminal enterprise known as Team Rocket had caused many problems for the authorities. Contact had not yet been reestablished with Johto, Hoenn was a mess as Team Aqua and Magma were still fighting, even after several centuries. Sinnoh had finally become stable enough for Team Galactic to resume its search for new power sources, and had managed to restore some electrical power, which had not been widely used since before the War. Kanada was pretty much the same way it always was, laid back, watching events unfold, and catching the occasional hockey game.>
<[PLAYER] can leave to the East or the North. North, there are Rock Smash boulders in the way. East, [OTHER] is waiting. In one of the houses in town, a person will give you a Pokeball. In another, you will receive a Potion.>
[OTHER]: [PLAYER]! It took you long enough!
[PLAYER]: Sorry, had to deal with my Mom's knowledge of Pokemon. We have to watch out for Swiple today, she says.
[OTHER]: (Laughter of some sort. I suppose 'kekekekeke' will have to suffice) Swiple! Yes, I'll watch out for them! Well, let's get going. We've got to get a pile of swines before the day is through!
[PLAYER]: ... That was terrible, just terrible.
{[OTHER] joined the party!}
<Player can now continue east, where he discover 3 Pokeballs lying on the ground. One seems to be emitting a dark aura. One seems to emit copious amounts of heat. And the third seems to be refreshingly cool. There is a group of Swinub nearby>
[OTHER]: Three Pokeballs? I guess we can each take one?
[PLAYER]: Yes. People shouldn't leave such commodities out in the open.
<3 Mamoswine rush the player!>
[OTHER]: Agh! 3 of them!
[PLAYER]: Quick! Take a Pokeball!
<The player is given the choice of Floravore, [WATER-TYPE] and Farnace.>
{Mamoswine (Lv 4) is charging!}
<After defeating the Mamoswine, you find that although [OTHER] defeated one Mamoswine, the other has maimed her. Seeing that you have defeated one however, it flees. Yet a Piloswine, being young and easily angered, sees its two KO'd elders and charges you. You grab a potion that [OTHER] dropped, heal your Pokemon, and prepare for the fight.
{Piloswine (Lv3) appeared!}
<The Piloswine flees. The two KO'd Mamoswines flee as well, having recovered. [PLAYER] restores his Pokemon with the one remaining Potion. Suddenly, one Swinub, having been unintentionally left behind, charges you.>
[PLAYER]: Oh, what the hell! Leave us be!
{Swinub (Level 1) Appears!}
<After defeating the wild Pokemon, the first thing [PLAYER] notices is a dark figure, dragging [OTHER] away! At the same time, he hears the town bell, rung only in case of disaster. Another person walks up behind him, and [PLAYER] is knocked unconscious.>
<[PLAYER] awakes. There are several Swinub next to him, as well as a Piloswine nearby. Seeing him awake, they bolt, surprisingly quickly for Ground types. There is silence, pure, dead silence. [PLAYER] looks around, calling out.>
[PLAYER]: [OTHER]! [OTHER]!
<[PLAYER] cannot continue east, for there are many Mamoswines. He can go west, and return to Toron Town, or so he believes.

CHAPTER 1: THE DARK IS RISING

<The smoke is the first thing that catches the eye. The bridge is blown apart. The burnt shells of houses surround him. His own house has been burnt to the ground, naught remaining but scorched wood, twisted furniture, and a single skeleton.>
[PLAYER]: What... What happened here?
???: The shadows have returned.
<A man of about 22 is standing behind [PLAYER]. He is looking at the wreckage of one of the buildings, the one where neither a potion or a pokeball was received earlier in the game.>
[PLAYER]: The shadows? Who are you?
???: I am [RIVAL]. I was sent from Johto to try and stop this from happening. It appears I was too late.
[PLAYER]: Johto? We havn't heard from the other regions in decades!
???: That is because a darkness has descended upon them. The Johto region was one of the hardest hit in the war. There were very few of us left. What remained banded together in what was once Ecruteak City. We have dwelled there ever since, determined to prevent a Great War from ever breaking out again.
[PLAYER]: What of the rest of the world?
???: As I said, a darkness has descended upon the world. There is a smaller evil, human in origin, that was created in the Orre region. That evil, and a far greater one, have worked together to destabilize time and space in the world.
[PLAYER]: Do you mean... Shadow Pokemon?
???: No. Shadow Pokemon are not evil.
[PLAYER]: Then what...?
???: Not even we know. Yet whatever it was destroyed this town.
[PLAYER]: [OTHER]! Have you seen-
???: Yes. They took her away. Where, I do not know.
[PLAYER]: What now, though...?
???: We need to recover the badges.
[PLAYER]: What?
???: Badges, once upon a time, enabled Pokemon trainers to have their Pokemon perform certain feats with their moves. Through the move Cut, they could remove troublesome plant life from their way. With Surf, oceans could be crossed. They could travel at will with Fly. Using Strength, massive boulders could be shifted. Flash would light up even the darkest of caves. Defogging areas could be done as well. Areas could be cleared of debris, and even the mightiest of waterfalls climbed. It's even told that one could dive to the depths of the sea.
[PLAYER]: But how does a badge allow all of this?
???: Noone quite knows. Yet here is one of the moves, Rock Smash. And here is the first badge, the one that this town once guarded. [PLAYER], last living person in Toron Town, I hereby confer on you the Smog Badge.
{[PLAYER] received the Smog Badge!
[PLAYER] can now use Rock Smash to destroy small boulders!
Traded Pokemon Level 10 and below will now obey without question!
[PLAYER] received HM08 Rock Smash!
The HM08 was placed in the TM Pocket}
???: Also, here is a Pokedex and 5 Pokeballs. Who knows, they may come in handy.
{[PLAYER] received a Pokedex!
[PLAYER] received 5 Pokeballs!
The Pokeballs were placed in the Pokeball pocket.}
???: Be sure that you do not allow anyone to see the badge. Foul things have been put into motion, and I fear even now we may be too late to stop them. Head north, to Vancou Village. There, you must search for the truth, and the locations of the hidden badges.
<A (ivan's version of Pidgeot) flies over to ???, and he flies off.)
<[PLAYER] can now head east, to find a wild Pokemon with which to Rock Smash (We raise the catch rate of Swinub to 255) unless they caught the Level 1 Swinub from before, which they can now teach Rock Smash to>

FROM HERE ON I AM NO LONGER WORKING OFF OF MY WRITTEN STORYLINE FROM DARK/BLACKSYRUP VERSION, AS I DIDN'T HAVE IT WITH ME

<to the East, in the wild, most commonly found is Swinub. There is the occasional under-leveled Piloswine, and Delibird and (very rarely) a Frosflam appear as well.to the North, there is no real change, except that instead of Piloswine, our version of Kricketot/Caterpie/etc appears. To the north, it is Route 401, and it is a fairly open Route, with a few trainers in the way, but mostly wild encounters. There are a few overworld pokemon, much like the ones on route 400, except that these will attack [PLAYER]. these Pokemon should not differ from the wild Pokemon found in the route except in special circumstances. At the end, a cutscene occurs, just before reaching Vancou Village. IT IS HAILING ON THIS ROUTE>

Grunt 1: Security check. Empty your pockets and bag, and you won't be hurt.
<[PLAYER] backs off.>
Grunt 2: I'm sorry, but you'll need to empty your pockets and your bag before we let you pass.
[PLAYER]: I'm sorry, I can't.
Grunt 1: And why might that be?
<beeping sound>
Grunt 2: What is this? The badge radar is going off!
<Encounter music>
Grunt 2: You'll be handing that badge over now.
<Mystery Grunt wants to battle!>
...
Grunt 2: This guy seems to be rather tough.
Grunt 1: I hope you liked living!
<Mystery Grunt wants to battle!>
...
<an Admin looking person appears>
Admin: What's going on here?
[PLAYER]: It appears I have something your Grunts here wanted.
Grunt 1: He has a badge!
Admin: I see. <turns to face [PLAYER]> It appears that it is time for you to die. Give me the weapon!
Grunt 2: But sir, it hasn't had its power fully-
Admin: The weapon! Now!
Grunt 2: Yes sir.
<the Grunt moves and gives a Pokeball to the Admin>
Admin: Prepare yourself.
<Mystery Man wants to battle! (Uses Rayquaza lvl 10)>
...
Admin: What is this? Defeated?
Grunt 2: Sir, I tried to tell you, the Shadow Lock has not been completed yet! It causes the Pokemon that holds it to disobey-
Admin: Nonsense. Rayquaza is merely a weak Pokemon. <turns to [PLAYER]> You survive this time, but next time, you will not be so lucky. Farfetch'd, Fly! <flies off>
Grunt 1: Abra, Teleport!
Grunt 2: Abra...? What? You have an Abra?
<they teleport.>
[PLAYER]: Rayquaza? Shadow Lock? Who were they?
<[PLAYER] seems to notice something on the ground>
[PLAYER]: What is this...?
{[PLAYER] received the Strange Veil!
The Strange Veil was placed in the Key Items Pocket.}
[PLAYER]: How odd... I will ask ??? about it.
<The player can now head north, to Vancou Village

CHAPTER 2: SOMETHING IN THE SHADOWS

<[PLAYER] reaches Vancou Village. There is an old style Pokemon Centre (read: the style we're familiar with) at the top right, and two houses. It hardly qualifies as a village. Inside one of the buildings is a library. In the other, just some random people. In the house, they speak of some odd people who were conducting experiments in the woods to the east. In the library...>
<[PLAYER] enters the library>
[PLAYER]: ??? said to search for the truth... But the truth of what?
<There is a bookshelf in the back, blocked by a pile of bricks. The player can reada "For Construction" sign, and has to Rock Smash RBY style. They can then "use" the far right section of the bookshelf, which causes a stairway to appear. OMFG CLICHE! RUN!>
<They then enter an underground room with a pedestal with a book on it. They must read the book.>

<book read>
<epic STORYLINE music>

The world recovered. Hope returned.

XXXXXX This part needs work XXXXXXX

Yet in the Johto region, there were those who feared that the war would reoccur. They knew of a terrible Pokemon, created accidentally by 2 men, whose intentions were in fact pure, when they put Pokemon through a process called Purification, to restore them to their original states. However, the evil released from them would not go away. This evil migrated north to the Kanada Region, where it eventually formed into a horrifying abomination, a truely evil Pokemon. This Pokemon had an ability unlike any other, and could influence people to do its bidding. It was the cause of the Great War.

There was a group of petty thieves and criminals, TEAM X, who sought power. Unknowingly, they came under the influence of the evil being. They built terrible weapons using the power released through evolution, and forced the Pokemon Arceus, through the Red Chain, to do their bidding.

Thoroughly corrupted by the Red Chain, which had mixed with evil power to become the first of the Shadow Locks, it destroyed without a thought. Then, purely by chance, it encountered the heroes of legend. Recognizing them as the Bearers of the Badges, instead of killing them, it captured them instead. Though it is unknown what happened after this, it is assumed that one of them sacrificed themselves to defeat the Shadows, as only one returned. However, she died soon after, for reasons unknown, and the world soon recovered.

To this day, noone knows who, or what, the shadows are.
To be kept in mind, the male character is Diem, and the female is Pearl. As well, we have an interesting plot line twist for the end.
Spoiler:
It turns out that instead of Shaado controlling Aruseusu, it was the other way around.

Um, I have several criticisms.

1) You open the game with the Hero going hunting. Kids play this game. Do we really want to teach them to main and/or kill innocent animals? In a series where the main theme has been about loving and respecting all Pokemon?
2) That badge should have to be earned, not just given to you.
3) You have Piloswine and Mamoswine at impossibly low levels.
4) Your "hero" is mean to a baby Swinub whose parents he just attacked. Seriously, how is this guy not the villain?
5) The grunt uses a RAYQUAZA? W? T? F?

Other than that, it's OK. Anyway, I'm not just here to criticise others, in a bit I'll be revealing the unofficial Generation V Pokedex and Games - Pokemon Black/White/Colour.

1) It's supposed to be a serious game. Keep in mind that the original fans of Pokemon are now adults, and our game is being made with that in mind. Also, this game (in its current version, which is not currently available online) now takes place 10 years after a nuclear war. We're also showing one of the darker sides of Pokemon. Where do you think they get their meat from? Pokemon is just their term for Animals.
2) The game does not follow the regular badge idea of most Pokemon games. We needed to work them into the storyline for HM purposes. There are gyms, but they do not give out the "HM badges", as the organization had stolen them all in the original wars.
3) Yes, we do. What, you gonna sue us? Also, we no longer have wild Piloswine in the beginning.
4) He's defending himself. Seriously, what would you do if a Swinub charged you?
5) Again, it is for Storyline purposes. The Shadow Lock v1 that it is holding significantly weakens it, as it causes 100% chance of a confusion smack upon using a non-direct attacking move. Thus should the AI (which has been made significantly smarter) choose Dragon Dance (and it never has chosen DD, ever) it will cause the Rayquaza to hit itself in confusion.
Also, the story is very tentative currently. We're still working on the details.

Well, I just believe that there is no need for Pokemon to become Darker and Edgier. It is a children's franchise, and we should never forget that.

2) The game does not follow the regular badge idea of most Pokemon games. We needed to work them into the storyline for HM purposes. There are gyms, but they do not give out the "HM badges", as the organization had stolen them all in the original wars.
Fair enough.

4) He's defending himself. Seriously, what would you do if a Swinub charged you?
Well, I wouldn't have gone hunting it for starters.

It's just incredibly jarring that a regular old grunt throws out a Rayquaza, a legendary. You know, one of a kind in the whole world. The Pokemon powerful enough to subdue the Pokemon that created the sea and the continents. Now matter what item it's holding, it's ridiculous that the grunt even has it, let alone it being weak enough for you to beat it that early in the game. It just seems wrong.

Anyway, I will now post my suggestions for improvements to gameplay, a Pokedex of 104 new Pokemon, and the plot for Pokemon Black and White.

Here's a post I made not long ago about changes to gameplay I would like to see.

Considering how stale and repetitive the games have become, I think that Generation V should feature a major renovation in both battling and normal gameplay. Now, a few of these suggestions may be controversial, but I don’t care, I like controversy.

1) Introduction of a Pokémon’s species.

Now, I’m not talking about the random two-word species on the Pokedex, I’m talking about a sort of sub-type. I envision 12 different species of Pokemon:
· Hoof
· Paw
· Rodent
· Bird
· Shrub
· Tree
· Crustacean
· Fish
· Lizard
· Insect
· Humanoid
· Composite (pokemon made up of some material or element, eg. Geodude, Regice, Muk. The others are self-explanatory)

Each species would be strong against one species and weak against one other. If a pokemon of a certain species (eg. Grovyle, Lizard) came up against a pokemon of a species it is strong against (eg. Yanma, Insect), the power of all Grovyle’s attacks would be multiplied by 1.5. Stat-changing moves would be affected in the same way.
There are several aims to this. The first is simple realism. A bird would be much better off against a rodent, as they are their natural prey. Another is to add a curve-ball into battling and team-building. You’d think twice about sending your Pikachu out to face Pidgeotto. And while a team consisting of Rapidash, Rhyperior, Mamoswine, Meganium, Tauros and Ampharos may seem like a fairly good, well-balanced team at first glance, they are in fact all Hoof pokemon, and so could be screwed up against a powerful rodent like Shaymin or Weavile.

2) Introduction of two new types: Digital and Ancient.

3) Change the storyline

This is probably the change most needed, in fact it definitely is. Pokemon is getting stale with its oft-repeated, simplistic and linear storyline. Kid gets pokemon from Professor and meets rival. Professor tells him to go off and challenge the eight gym leaders. Kid meets evil team. Kid beats evil team several times before a finale featuring a legendary pokemon that Kid must capture/defeat. Kid goes to challenge the five members of the Elite Four(?!).

It was tired even by Johto, and now it’s just getting silly. We need more exploration of the new region, and less of a straight journey from Gym to Gym. We need a twist on the old recurring baddies of the rival and Team X.

4) Weather conditions and Seasons.

As others have said, this would be a great addition. You could have different pokemon cropping up at different times of the year, like Sunflora in Spring or Delibird in Winter. Ice pokemon could appear in the grass when it’s snowing, when it’s sunny a sudden flourish of grass pokemon, when it’s raining you see a lot of water pokemon. They already have a similar system for Morning/Day/Night, so why not the weather?

5) Improve the gyms

These are supposed to be the eight most skilled trainers in the region. So why, for the love of God, do they only have pokemon of one single type? And may I also ask why they have, out of a maximum of six, often only three pokemon? Two of which are the same creature? Why?

Gym leaders are far too easy to overcome and always have been. So the Gym leader is a master of flames, possessing the most powerful fire pokemon in the country? You have a decent ground-type and a capable water pokemon and you walk it. Especially when they throw out 4 Magcargos or something. And have an empty slot in their party. Doh.

Make the Gym leaders more intelligent. If you must have an all-ice gym or something, make it an opportunity to show off all kinds of ice pokemon - Piloswine, Glalie, Dewgong, Weavile, Cloyster, Glaceon - not an opportunity to show of three Swinubs and its evolution. In fact, do away with typed gyms all together, save for maybe a couple for nostalgia’s sake. Instead, each gym can have a theme of some sort, eg. A gym for Paw pokemon, a gym for Special-typed pokemon, a gym for Forest-dwelling pokemon, a gym for fast pokemon, etc.

6) Make NPC trainers more intelligent

I am sick of tired of facing Fisherman with 6 Magikarp that all use splash, or Bird Keepers with 5 Pidgeys that all use tackle against my Bayleef. Mix it up, make the NPC’s use more effective attacks, and bring in as many pokemon as you can from all the generations. Overall, I’d be a great supporter of having fewer but more powerful NPCs.

7) Increase the variety of wild pokemon

By the time Generation V rolls around, there will be over 600 different types of pokemon, and yet each game only features around 200 and half of those are Zubats. Add a ton or two of pokemon into various areas and the whole thing will feel a lot more vibrant and unpredictable. You’d also have a lot more choice when creating a team, no more having to wait until the last third of the game before getting a fire type, you’ll get a few Magbys, Slugmas, Vulpixes and Numels thrown in near the start. Rather than the first three routes all containing the same old Pidgey/Rattata/Caterpie combination (for later generations read Hoothoot/Sentret/Caterpie or Tailow/Zigzagoon/Wurmple), let you be able to catch all types of pokemon early on, like baby pokemon, old starters and various others from all other regions. Variety can only be a good thing.

While we’re at it, please please please please get rid of Zubats in every bloody cave, and have a sea that isn’t entirely populated by Tentacools. Water is by far the most common type, yet those infuriating jellyfish dominate everywhere you swim. Grr.

8) Make you able to have a Pokemon following you around

Not just your starter, but any Pokemon, with obvious size restrictions (so your Blissey or Krabby will be able to follow you anywhere, but Groudon and Wailord are big no-nos. Being out of a pokeball will increase happiness, but reduce its health over long walks.

9) Allow customization of trainer sprites and pokemon

‘Nuff said.

10) No more pointless evolutions/prevolutions

Generation II started this ugly trend with the introduction of pointless baby pokemon (if you’re going to introduce weaker versions of strong pokemon, at least let us catch the weaker ones early on in the game) and saddling awesome pokemon like Scyther with lame evolutions - and I’m looking at you too Bellosom, Politoed and Hitmontop. Generation III bucked this trend, but they were back to it in the awful Generation IV creating Honchkrow, Mime Jr., Lickilicky, Magmortar, Bonsly, Probopass and Rhyperior. I’m not placing an embargo on new evolutions, far from it, but they shouldn’t create new ones just because they can.

11) Get rid of the HMs.

Have each pokemon have one or two “skill slots” that would allow you to do the out-of-battle things and shift all the battle moves into TMs or learnt moves. Alternatively, introduce Key Items that allow you to navigate the area, such as a boat for surfing, a machete to replace Cut. Whatever they do, they have to do something, because I’m fed up with saddling my lovely Poliwrath with Rock Smash, or my Raikou having to use up one of its slots for Flash.
As for No. 2 - I've changed by mind, only Digital should be introduced. Then again, maybe not. We're in the odd problem of having several underpowered types (Bug, Steel as attackers, Poison especially) yet not really having any ovrpowered types (Dragon is sort of, but that's kind of the idea). So, if it is introduced, I propose the following:

Super-effective: Electric, Steel, Dark
Not very effective: Poison, Bug

Resist: Dragon, Digital, Fighting
Weak against: Poison, Steel, Bug

Anyway, they're just general changes. Now I will introduced what we all really want to see - the Pokedex. It is set out as follows.

1. Name - Type/Type - Brief description, often simply noting the animal or thing it is based on, but more detailed descriptions for the more unusual Pokemon.

"OP" stands for Original Pokemon, and is denoted when a Pokemon is an evolution/prevolution of a previous Pokemon. Where there is a hyphon in front of a Pokemon's name, each hyphon refers to the amount of Pokemon gone before it in its evolutionary line.

104. Wem - Psychic - Known as the Leader Pokemon. Formed from the pure combined energy of Mew, Celebi and Jirachi (in gaming terms you need to level up Atomi with Jirachi, Mew and Celebi in the party). It is the only Pokemon powerful enough to calm the combined forces of the four Apocalypse Pokemon.

As you could probably guess, the three starter Pokemon are Nippar, Caspole and Laveer, for Black and White at least.... but we'll come onto that later. For now, I will explain the plot of Pokemon Black and White. Colour has a different plot, but the same locations and Pokemon. The aim of this plot is to rejig the typical, stale plot of the last four games, keeping the primary target group of children, but not treating the children like complete morons.

The game opens like any other, a child relaxing in his bedroom. A television programme is playing, a news report. A virus has been released into the Pokemon population. It started in the computer system, and spread throughout every trainer's Pokemon, and from then into the wild. It has caused many mutations among Pokemon, such as the aforementioned Rattata mutation. Some Pokemon have gained previously unseen evolutions, some have changed their eating/living/mating habits, and some have even changed types (OK, that last bit is an excuse to retcon Gyrados, Milotic and Yanmega into part-Dragon types, although the retcon is indeed central to the plot). In addition, due to the virus originating in the PC system, a new type of Pokemon has emerged - Digital. Some previously extinct Pokemon have been resurrected. You can now catch wild Kabuto, and various other ancient Pokemon have been introduced. Needless to say, this has all caused havoc among the ecosystems of the Pokemon.

Suddenly, the phone rings - it's the Police. They ask you to go to the station on the other side of the town. When you arrive, they explain. They need to find out how this virus originated, so they can repair the damage. They've managed the track the source of the virus back to the most famous competition of the region - The Pokemon Tournament. This tournament is held every year, and 256 trainers enter. Half of them enter the North Tournament, and half the South. The two champions of the North and South then battle each other to become the ultimate Champion of the as of yet unnamed region. There are 8 rounds in the Tournament (not counting the final), to replace the 8 gym leaders. Each round of the Tournament is held in a different city, requiring you to travel all over the place, as in past games. You are entering the South Tournament.

Anyway, back to the plot. The Policewoman explains that the Tournament is for young trainers, so they need a young trainer to go undercover. You have to enter the Pokemon Tournament and find out any information you can about the virus. The police will provide you with a choice of Pokemon to start you off - the grass-type Nippar, the water-type Caspole, or the fire-type Laveer. Once you’ve chosen, another Policeman/woman (depending on your own gender) walks in. This is your rival. S/He is a young trainee Police Officer, and is furious that this job has been given to some random kid. S/He demands to enter the competition as well. The Policewoman agrees, and the rival naturally takes the Pokemon that’s strong against yours. You battle. Once you’ve won, the rival leaves in a huff, saying that s/he has more and better Pokemon at home anyway. S/He vows to show the Police Force how skilled s/he is. The Policewoman takes note of the rival having lots of Pokemon, and gives you a Pokedex and some Pokeballs, encouraging you to catch as many Pokemon as you can. You need to stay in the competition for as long as possible so that you can find lots of information, and for that you need variety. And to love and care for your Pokemon, yada yada yada. Once she’s done with her speech, you leave the building and begin your journey.

From then on, I’m a little vaguer on the details of the plot. You travel from city to city competing in the Tournament, each round acting as a gym leader. In fact, in each round beyond the first, one trainer from each match is randomly selected to design their own challenge for the other trainer to face, just like a gym. And the best thing is, in the fifth round, you get selected to design the challenge. You get to design your own gym! How cool is that?

In some cities and in various other places, there are additional gyms. You do not have to defeat them to complete the game, but it’s fun to. Each gym is monotyped - all the trainers and leader in a fire gym have only fire Pokemon, a water gym is home to only water Pokemon, so the gyms should be a breeze to defeat. The catch? You are only allowed to use Pokemon of that one type when challenging the gyms.

Of course, there are side-quests. Most of them involve helping to sort out various problems with the Pokemon ecosystem, for example saving some Rattata from invading Cybaratt, or finding a home for the very confused Kabuto. However, you also spot a small and shady group hanging about. They are known as Team Rocket. What are they doing here, in such a small group? We’ll find out eventually. There is also a side-quest that allows you to get an egg that hatches into Draggle. The baby dragon Pokemon itself is not strong, however it can evolve into one of the five quasi-legendary dragons based on the time of year. In Summer it evolves into Grusam, in Autumn it evolves into Scalair, in Winter it evolves into Tircac, and in Spring it evolves into Dractile. If you evolve inside a building at any time of year, it evolves into Snart. The main legendaries, Immortes and Mortan, are available in the same way as Lugia and Ho-oh were in Gold/Silver, referenced often, both catchable in-game, but not directly related to the plot.

You will face your rival a few times as well while you’re at it, as well as an odd young man, for the moment called BOB because I haven’t come up with a name yet, entering the North Tournament. He seems incredibly competitive and uninterested in others.

After a while, after you’ve picked up some clues from other rounds, you reach the Final of the South Tournament, and guess who you face there? That’s right, your rival. After you’ve dispatched with him/her, she finally lets go of her/his jealousy, appreciating your skill as a trainer and accepting that s/he’s a pretty good trainer to get to the final, even if she’s not the best. S/He leaves to pursue his/her promising career as a Police Officer. Then the Policewoman from the beginning calls - they believe the virus started in the computer system in Gracekail City - the City where the final Tournament battle between the North and South champions is held.

Once you get there, you notice more Rockets, especially around one house in particular. You explore and battle your way into the house, find a secret basement that leads to a series of tunnels and traps that seem to go all the way under the city. Eventually, you find a room located directly underneath Gracekail Pokemon Center, giving it direct access to the PC system. You enter the room and find….

…BOB! He manufactured a virus using a huge machine he is manning, built with the help of funding by Team Rocket, who intend to make money by gambling huge amounts on him winning matches. But why release the virus? He explains how he’s entered the Tournament countless times before, never winning, always second or third place. He vowed never to be second-place again, so he decided to make his Pokemon more powerful by manipulating them with the virus. His aim was never to infect the entire population, but he seems unconcerned about that side-effect. In fact, he is pleased, because it allowed him to catch some rare Pokemon. He’s finished with his tinkering, so he leaves, saying he’ll see you at the Tournament. The Policewoman enters, and you explain what happens. She says that she can now use the machine to subdue the worst effects of the virus, but not completely reverse it, but she says that change in the world is a good thing anyway. She asks you to go to the final and teach that arrogant BOB a lesson for what he’s done.

BOB’s party entirely consists of Pokemon that have benefited in some way from the virus. I haven’t completely decided on the Pokemon, but I do know that it will feature a Gyrados, a Yanmega, a Digital Pokemon (perhaps from the Porygon family, perhaps a new one like Intraborg) an ancient Pokemon, probably Flagratops or maybe Sabiron, and two others. So you kick his ass, the Police arrest him, and Team Rocket scarper. The machine has restored order and the Pokemon world is safe once again. Hooray! Your journey has reached its end and…. Huh? Wait, it’s not quite the end.

As a thank-you for your work, the Policewoman gives you a Plane Ticket, and this is the best part of the game. The Plane Ticket takes you to…. Johto! :D However, there’s a catch. The virus has caused the Pokemon of the Johto region to become incredibly powerful and high-levelled. Therefore, the Johto region will not allow any trainers from other regions to enter Johto without first having proved themselves, by defeating the Johto Elite Four.

From then on the plot is pretty much self-writing. You defeat the Elite Four and take the Plane to Goldenrod, where an airport has taken the place of the radio tower/train station. You beat all the gyms in Johto, with a couple of side-quests and broken bridges along the way. The gyms are all run by the same leaders as in GSC with the exception of the Cianwood and Mahogany Gyms. Chuck retired, citing weakness in his old age, and replaced by his younger, stronger nephew, Hank. Pryce has passed on, and there is no longer a gym in Mahogany, merely Pryce’s granddaughter, also an Ice-type trainer, who will challenge you for a reward. The new gym in located in a small village atop Mt. Silver, and run by former Elite Four member Karen. Clair is the final boss, sporting a variety of powerful Dragon-types. Tohjo Falls has been replaced with a Water Park, cutting off your access to Kanto. This Water Park is host to a version of the Safari Zone Game/Bug Catching contest, where you must fish for Pokemon, using just a rod and some bait.

So, yeah, thanks for reading my overly long post. I’ve got to do some other stuff now, but at some point I will post the plot to Pokemon Colour, which I can reveal features a new starter, a shocking betrayal, and the end of the world itself…..

sooooo.....when are you calling nintendo to force them to make that game?

okay, here's my idea for a game.i can't make the game as a hack, because i don't know to.if any one wants to make it,contact me at [email protected] ,and i'll help with plot.
first, you start in school, taking a test to get a trainer's license.first is a written test, with various questions, multiple choice of course, with choices that are mostly based on preference of pokemon.then you must face four professers with a randomly selected team of pokemon.all pokemon are possible, with the exception of legends and starters
the professers are
sam-seadra lv.43,charizard,lv.48,dragonite lv.53.all pokemon for this battle are level 50
elmo-electivire lv.68,aggron lv.70,tyranitar lv.73.all pokemon are level 70
dirk-mawile lv.83,medicham lv.85,flygon lv.89.all pokemon are level 85
edwin-shuckle lv.95,smeargle lv.98,slaking lv.100.all pokemon are level 100

after this, the head professer,dr. O'rebberhan, will come and give you a starter.depending on your test answers, you will be ble to choose between the starters of kanto, johto, hoenn, and sinnoh.after to choosing, you will go on your journey, traveling through todoroki forest, where a level 24 ledian is capturable after getting the first badge, and rocky hill, where you can get a level 14 groudon after obtaining the first badge and a ground type.the first badge is in katsun city, and the gym is psychic type.after reaching the next gym,but not challenging it,you can return to katsun city to battle gardenia and get a prize.
more info if anyone is interested later

Hey, I'm not going to force them. It's not like I've got the President of Nintendo and Satoshi Tajiri locked up in my basement or anything.... *shifty eyes*

Hmm.... I kind of like the idea of having to challenge a set of leaders with a randomised team, but seriously.... a level 14 Groudon that early in the game? Groudon is a legendary! There is only one of him and he lives in Hoenn! And he is extremely powerful - he created the continents for god's sake! He should never be seen below lvl. 40. What makes you think that sticking a Groudon in at that place, in a game that he doesn't belong would be a good idea?

well,it's a remnant of the origanal premise, which was basically a legendary scavenger hunt, but also because by the time any one figured out he was their, they probably would have beat the elite four already.plus,in my game, legendaries aren't one of a kind.in fact, the champion's team(first time only)is made up of mostl legendaries, which he releases(except for one of them, which not really his, just a friend with no pokeball)after you beat him the first time.and it's not like all legendaries are superstrong.celebi is level 30,and regigigas is level 1!
also, you interested in the rest of the story?

But legendaries are one of a kind, that's sort of the point. If they weren't one of a kind, they'd just be quasi-legendaries, or regular old Pokemon. The idea of of a team made up of legendaries just seems ridiculous to me.

And I'm not saying that all legendaries have to be high level, but they majority should be. Celebi and others are exceptions that prove the rule.

If you want to explain the rest of the story, then knock yourself out. What did you think of my plot/pokedex?

it was very good, and nat all legendaries are of a kind.their are at least 3 regigigas,2 heatran, and 2 cresselia.plus the legendary beasts are shown to have at least 2 of each member.and as i said before, the champion releases them after words.tell me if you want to find out his whole team,i'd be happy to tell you

now, after beating yuli, katsun cities gym leader, you can either go to technotrobe city,to battle mugsy the gym leader,or to mt. dismal,to battle clef the gym leader.personally,i'd go to clef, because in order to get to him,you have to pass threw roserade forest, golduck lake, and the lower half of mt. dismal, all of which have extremely diverse sets of wild pokemon.mugsy uses mainly electric types, but ends with a muk,and clef uses fighting types.before going to technotrobe city, you can do a side quest at night, where commander saturn,of team galactic fame, tries to rob a miltank farm.you fight her,and she will most likely beat you,as her pokemon are all of ver level 50,while yours are most likely in the level 20 range.however, instead of being sent to a pokemon center as is the norm, your battle wakes up the owner of the farm, whitney.you then take control of her to beat saturn.while this has little to do with the plot, doing so will allow you to receive a level 50 miltank with surf from her after beating the elite four.

tell me how you like this and i will go on to the next part

1) In the beginning, you choose male or female, your birthdate, your appearence, and how old the hero is.
2) In the laboratory, I'll make the hero choose which Pokemon they want to have.
3) In the routes, I'll have the original route Pokemon.
4) In the gym wise case, I'll make them start out with their beginning Pokemon and you can come back to challenge them again and the gym Pokemon will be the evolved form.

I wouldn't want to make my Pokemon Generation, but I would want to make some changes. I would want to make the types an even 16. So I would combine Dark and Ghost-types together. All previous Ghost-type Pokemon would be given a special ability called Spectral Form. This would make them immune to Physical attacks.

I would eliminate TMs and HMs, I think the Pokedex should be made more useful. It should record all moves that your Pokemon encounters in battle and if it is a move it can use, it should be unlocked. Then the Pokemon has to see it a certain amount of time based on it level, and have the appropriate stats before it can use it. Moves should not be limited to 4, it is rediculous.

I think Pokemon that are aquatic should not be allowed to battle on land, unless near water. I agree that Gym Leaders should have more varied Pokemon, but I still think they should use 1 type of Pokemon. I would like to see greater Trainer AI added to the game.

I liked the 2nd Generation's ability to give money to your mother, and the ability to decorate your bedroom. I would like to see that brought back, along with the phone calls. I never liked the Secret Base, eliminate it. Let us Fly to our home. I would like to see the customization improved further, I want to be able to customize my Trainer's appearance, and my Pokemon's.

I would like berries, Pokeblocks, Poffins and Pokeballs to be made the same across generations. I prefered the 2nd Generation's berry names. The new Aspear, Oran etc. names are too abstract. I think Pokeblock and Poffins should be eliminated and simple Pokemon Food like Brock makes should be used along with an indepth cooking system.

You should be able to choose between being a Trainer, Breeder or Coordinator. They should follow the same main storyline, but have seperate individual storylines. Each with their own bonuses. Perhaps Trainers get bonus EVs from Trainer battles, Breeders get Happiness bonuses from feeding and bonus IVs from Breeding and Coordinators get bonus Contest stats from feeding and are the only ones who gain Contest stat increases upon entering a Contest.

I want to see seasons added and more weather. I want to see more villian activity, Pokemon migration, swarms etc. I want all previous regions of Pokemon accessible.

But most of all...

I want there to only be 366 Pokemon. 1 Pokemon for each day of the year, including Leap Year. The added evolutions and preevolutions have got to stop and be removed! There shouldn't be 50 million means to evolving your Pokemon. There should be 6 useable items (Fire Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone, Sun Stone, Thunder Stone, Water Stone), 1 held item (King's Rock), 1 event (Upgrading Porygon), trading and gender based evolutions.

Here is my revised Pokemon list...

1. Bulbasaur
2. Ivysaur
3. Venusaur

4. Charmander
5. Charmeleon
6. Charizard
7. Squirtle
8. Wartortle
9. Blastoise

To list the changes I would make, I would still only have 150 Pokemon plus Ho-oh in each region. I want them to stop at the 6th Generation. With 366 Pokemon minus 151, that leaves 215 Pokemon, divide that by the 5 remaining regions after Kanto and you get 43 new Pokemon. Then you have 118 of the previous generations Pokemon. So the 2nd Generation only has 118 Kanto Pokemon and 43 new Johto Pokemon, but Hoenn can have any 118 Pokemon from Kanto and Johto plus their own regional 43. Ho-oh would be the 'God Pokemon' available in all regions.

From my list I will explain my changes...

First of all I removed most ugly and scary Pokemon... since it is my personal prefrence to the 366 Pokemon.

Cherubi is now the preevolved form of Bellossom. Cherrim no longer exsists and Bellossom is no longer an alternate evolution of Gloom.

Relicanth is now a Fossil.

Shuckle evolves into Forretress and Pineco is now removed.

Leafeon now evolves with a Leaf Stone, and has been renamed Arboreon. Espeon and Umbreon now evolve with Sun Stones and Moon Stones.

Some Pokemon have been made to evolve when traded (Nuzleaf, Pupitar, Sealeo, Shelgon)

A Mrs. Mime has been added and evolves from a Female Mime Jr.

Female Ralts evolve into Kirlia and Gardevoir, while Male Ralts evolve into the new Kirmurai (Play on the 'Kir' prefix and Samurai just as Gallade is a play on Gallant a warrior and Blade) and Gallade.

Tangela no longer evolves into the lame Tangrowth but into Tangusa, a Medusa-like figure with vines for hair and still sporting the pink shoes. It is debatable if I will remove Rotom and make Tangusa female only, and add a male only Pokemon that resembles the Green Man with vines for hair and his beard.

Vigoroth now evolves into Slaking only when holding a King's Rock.

Slowking and Slowbro are no longer alternate evolutions. Slowbro evolves into Slowking when holding a King's Rock.

There are no longer regional Shellos and Gastrodons. The Blue Shellos and Gastrodon are male only, and the pink versions are female only.

Furret has now been renamed Sentret and evolves into Linoone who has now been renamed Furret. Zigzagoon and the original Sentret have both been removed.

Cleffa has now been renamed Clefairy and Clefairy has now been renamed Clefable which leads to the elimination of the actual Clefable.

Weedle has been removed and replaced by Wurmple. Wurmple now evolves into Kakuna and then Beedrill.

Butterfree has been removed and Metapod now evolves into Beautifly.

Lumineon now has the large butterfly wing side fins moved to it's tail to replace the original stub tail, and add new appropriate sized side fins.

Tyrogue has a 50/50 chance to evolve into either Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee. I jokingly put Tyrogue's name as Hitmonnorris, to follow the theme of famous martial artists.

There have been various Stone Evolution changes which I won't list.

I don't quite see the point in this.

Moves should not be limited to 4, it is rediculous.
No, the four move limit should be kept, otherwise you'd lose one challenge of the game - deciding your Pokemon's moveset.

I think Pokemon that are aquatic should not be allowed to battle on land, unless near water.
That would be a) frustrating when trying to level up a water-type, b) impossible if you choose a water-type starter and c) impossible to carry out a water monotype challenge.

I disagree, you should be able to do all three with equal ease in the same game.

I want there to only be 366 Pokemon. 1 Pokemon for each day of the year, including Leap Year.
Why, exactly? That would severely limit your choice of Pokemon.

The added evolutions and preevolutions have got to stop and be removed!
Again, I disagree. Sure, some evolutions have been rubbish (coughMagmortarcough), but some have been really good. Take Onix for example - he's pretty damn cool looking, being a giant stone snake and all, but he's near-useless in actual battling. So Gen II added Steelix, who kept the cool look, but now became actually useful too. So not all evolutions are bad.

I disagree, evolution to be kept at the same level of complexity, it's more fun and interesting that way. Move and location based evolutions are one of the few ways that the later Gens actually improved.

I disagree with everything here. We will have around 600 Pokemon in Gen V, and if you've got it, flaunt it, most of them should be made available. And they will stop making games when it stops making money, not at any predefined date.

Ho-oh would be the 'God Pokemon' available in all regions.
It seems silly to promote Ho-oh to such a high-profile place. Sure, he's cool, but Arceus has already been established as the God Pokemon, Ho-oh is simply the Guardian of the Skies and the Legendary Dogs, and that's it.

First of all I removed most ugly and scary Pokemon... since it is my personal prefrence to the 366 Pokemon.
That's a bad idea, a lot of people like the "scary and ugly" Pokemon.

Cherubi is now the preevolved form of Bellossom. Cherrim no longer exsists and Bellossom is no longer an alternate evolution of Gloom.

Shuckle evolves into Forretress and Pineco is now removed.

What exactly is the point of these retcons? Retcons are undesirable and jarring, especially when you're switching around evolution lines for no reason and completely changing the name and appearance of Pokemon! Retcons should be kept to a minimum, and only used when changing a Pokemon's sub-typing to make it more appropriate (eg. Magneton becoming part Steel).

Tyrogue has a 50/50 chance to evolve into either Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee. I jokingly put Tyrogue's name as Hitmonnorris, to follow the theme of famous martial artists.

Leafeon now evolves with a Leaf Stone, and has been renamed Arboreon. Espeon and Umbreon now evolve with Sun Stones and Moon Stones.
You're making it too simplistic. It's fun to find new ways of evolving Pokemon. I've always found stone-based evolution boring when the stones are readily available and frustrating when they're not.

Good ideas.

There are no longer regional Shellos and Gastrodons. The Blue Shellos and Gastrodon are male only, and the pink versions are female only.
Yay, stereotypes!

I know everyone hates my limited Pokemon list, but I always found the new preevolutions and evolutions to be lame. I never liked how Jyxn all of a sudden had a baby form, or Magmar got a new evolution. Now I really have issues with Eevee no longer evolving with stones. I never liked the time of day evolutions and like the rocks even less. I doubt they would make the changes I have in my head but, I just wanted to post them. I think making Pokemon evolve in a million different ways, with a million different items is just a waste. It never made sense that Steelix and Blissey never exsisted but they now do... I understand adding new Pokemon lines, but not so much new evolutions and preevolutions. By limiting the means that Pokemon evolve, you make evolving via stones, genders and items more special and less common.

The trainer, breeder and coordinator idea is cool. I think those different classes of Pokemon owners do think differently and therefore should have bonuses when raising their Pokemon. Ash is different then Brock and May/Dawn. They think and train differently.

The Ghost issue is simply that there are so few, and other then being immune to Fighting and Normal attacks they have a similar sinister theme that Dark types have. I don't feel that limiting move sets to 4 creates more of a challenge, I think having a trainer know all of his moves, and be able to use them at any given time, while combating all of the opponents moves it challenging. By limited moves to 4, you create cookie cutter builds with all Pokemon having basically the same stats and move sets. Why else are there Battle boards? So that players can be told exactly how to create their Pokemon.

I did not mean all Water type Pokemon have to be near water I meant Pokemon like Magikarp, Goldeen and Finneon. It would be limiting, but I also think you should limit land Pokemons ability to battle in the water LOL. And I know Arceus has been established as the supreme-O god Pokemon but I think Ho-oh is cooler and I feel legendary should be limited, they make many Pokemon obsolete in battles. I think a trainer should be able to compete with his favorite Pokemon and not be severely gimped by not picking the super powered always common Pokemon.

And why does everyone get all snippy when I suggest person ideas... OMG its not canon, why create retcons... um because you asked me what I would do if I made the game, thats why! That and when I eliminated the uglier Pokemon, I wanted to replace them with better looking ones... Butterfree traded for Beautifly etc... I am glad you liked my Ralts idea though. I just felt that Kirlia seemed to feminine to evolve into Gallade, but Ralts was more gender neutral so having Ralts evolve into Kirlia as a girl and something else (Kirmurai) as a boy made more sense. And the Mrs. Mime addition needs no explaination.

I liked stereotyping Shellos and Gastrodon... I felt they revived the Nidoran theme :) But you never commented on my Tangela idea... that is the one I am most concerned with. I never caught Tangela but I always had high hopes that they would become something cooler.

I think I more fully explained my reasonings...

They always existed, they just hadn't been discovered yet.

I understand adding new Pokemon lines, but not so much new evolutions and preevolutions. By limiting the means that Pokemon evolve, you make evolving via stones, genders and items more special and less common.
No, you make it less special and more common, as many Pokemon that previously evolved in unusual ways would evolve via stones in your Pokedex.

The trainer, breeder and coordinator idea is cool. I think those different classes of Pokemon owners do think differently and therefore should have bonuses when raising their Pokemon. Ash is different then Brock and May/Dawn. They think and train differently.
But you're forgetting about all the people who like to breed, train and compete in contests at the same time.

The Ghost issue is simply that there are so few, and other then being immune to Fighting and Normal attacks they have a similar sinister theme that Dark types have.

No, all Pokemon would have the same moves if they were able to remember all the moves they ever learned. Take two examples.

Current rules:

Umbreon .vs. Umbreon

Umbreon
- Faint Attack
- Mean Look
- Moonlight
- Guard Swap

Umbreon
- Confuse Ray
- Assurance
- Last Resort
- Screech

Your rules:

Umbreon
- Tackle
- Tail Whip
- Helping Hand
- Sand-attack
- Pursuit
- Quick Attack
- Confuse Ray
- Faint Attack
- Assurance
- Last Resort
- Mean Look
- Screech
- Moonlight
- Guard Swap

You see?

I did not mean all Water type Pokemon have to be near water I meant Pokemon like Magikarp, Goldeen and Finneon. It would be limiting, but I also think you should limit land Pokemons ability to battle in the water LOL.
Yep, it may be more realistic, but it would make training them very hard. The Pokemon you mentioned are quite weak, so you often need to go into a cave and battle Rock and Ground Pokemon to train them up, but you wouldn't be able to do that.

And I know Arceus has been established as the supreme-O god Pokemon but I think Ho-oh is cooler...

And why does everyone get all snippy when I suggest person ideas... OMG its not canon, why create retcons... um because you asked me what I would do if I made the game, thats why! Well, it depends how you read the title. I read it as me actually making the games and selling them, so they'll appeal to everyone, you're obviously reading as making your own "dream game" just for you. It's a case of not being on the same wavelength, not me being snippy.

and I feel legendary should be limited, they make many Pokemon obsolete in battles. I think a trainer should be able to compete with his favorite Pokemon and not be severely gimped by not picking the super powered always common Pokemon.
That's the reason we have tiers.

I liked stereotyping Shellos and Gastrodon... I felt they revived the Nidoran theme :)
Well, I'm very against gender stereotyping, especially in young children. But I don't know if you noticed but...

Nidoking is pinky-purple, while Nidoqueen is blue. It's actually quite a clever subversion.

But you never commented on my Tangela idea... that is the one I am most concerned with. I never caught Tangela but I always had high hopes that they would become something cooler.
I have no particular opinions on Tangela/Tangrowth/Tangusa, sorry.

I wish I was artistic... anyone one the boards good at making Pokemon? Perhaps someone can make a Tangusa... I envision the pink sneakers still being there, vines for hair, more almond shaped eyes, and the body some sort of dress.

Maybe I shoudnt come up with a male Tangela evolution... Bellossom, Roselia and Roserade are all more feminine in appearance... but then again Tangusa is based off of a female mythological being... but so is Mawile... *sigh* Brain Hurts!!!

Oh and another change would be making you have to fight via the Gym Leaders rules, so a 3 on 3 battle... not 3 on 6. Or a double battle with 2 only etc... that would make the fights more interesting.

And I still disagree with the idea that 4 moves is better, since you didn't list TMs, HMs, Breeding and Tutoring. And just because you have the same moves doesn't mean you know what moves they will use. I cannot remember if I posted the idea to remove TMs and HMs and that other then the moves learned via leveling up, other moves must be seen in battle to have it unlocked, and then seen so many times based on the level and stats of the Pokemon before it is learned and can be used. That way a low level Pokemon would have a harder time learning some super powered moves compared to high level or evolved Pokemon or vice versa. A Grotle should have a harder time learning speedy attacks due to a lower Speed stat, verses a Turtwig, but they should have a better chance learning defensive moves compared to a Turtwig. The Pokedex could be more interactive, able to store a list of moves that each of the Pokemon in your party has seen, and how close they are to learning it. Maybe instead of the having to see the moves so many times, they have to use it so many times, but the less it is used the greater the chance it has to fail completely. This would make Pokemon even more deep, and would make having a full move list even more challenging and unique.

I would put more dragon and dark types at the begginging of the game. maybe more starters to choose from. changeable outfits for your character. and for the pokemon at the top of your party(or just your starter) to be like pikachu was in yellow and follow you around.

Hey, LISTEN!
