The concept of each of them are good but the actual sprites look a little awkward to me. With a little work on shading they could become really good. I hope you work on this and take my advice into consideration.

I have problems shadowing, I find it kind of hard.
Its not really the "Pokemon style shading" but some of them are very good take Sparkzon for example it doesnt have "Pokemon style shading" but it still looks very good but if you want to try to aim for the "Pokemon style shading" try pretending the sun is in the upper left hand corner and the sunlight is hitting the sprite that should help!
Well, I found a wonderful site where it allows you to put a transparent Background on your sprites, as well as animate them, sooo heres my first animated sprite.....

The main issue with the shading is there are not enough tones.
Up the palette and make the shading flow. Maybe sharpen the shaping a bit too.
Other than that, i love the ideas.
