I thought that one of Jupiter's moons was theoretically capable of supporting life? There's a theory that underneath the frozen ice on...ummm....the moon beginning with I, there's liquid water, in which microbes and such could survive. But that's not advanced life, I guess :P
This is true - humans could theoretically survive here. Saturn also has a moon that's capable of supporting human life.

We can guess when the Earth will end, but there isn't a definite answer. There's no way we could ever find another Earth before this one is over. A planet that can inhabit complex lifeforms is very rare. What we could do is take things with us, but it still wouldn't be right. If we had some kind of reactor that was powered by hydrogen atoms slamming together, we could produce any kind of molecule we wanted.

What? I knew what you were talking about before you started talking about "reactor that was powered by hydrogen atmos slamming together, we could produce any kind of molecule we wanted". What are you talking about?

Also, just to let you guys know, NASA started this project before our economy crisis. Thats why they spent so much.

Problem is getting the people there.
And even so, we're probably going to suffer a mass exodus once we get there.

And lol intergalactic war.

There's also the possibility of the whole spacecraft getting hit by meteors.

Also, would the planet sustain everything that us humans might need? For example, like is the there enough living space or is the soil soft enough for growing crops?
