Yeah sorry bout the title. I just found out about that freaking amazing person view. So yeah. Have you moved away from your old neighborhood or generally away from your country to go to google maps find that feature and just pour your eyes out from remembering the old days? I did just now. After 3 years from leaving my childhood neighborhood were i grew up and then leacing across the sea it just broke my heart. I will now never forgive google. You guys?

I didn't even know that Google did such an accurate map until one day my brother told me about it. I didn't even believe him until I seen it for myself.

I just used it to checked out what used to be my school not so long ago. If you zoom in far enough, you can actually see people standing outside.

Unfortunately, the only city I have vivid memories of (I was too young to remember the other cities or else we didn't live there long enough) is one where Google doesn't have a clear view. The images are all blurry so it's... not all that great for nostalgia. :(

I'm in the same boat as Lightning. When I look up my old neighbourhood, I can barely make anything out. It's too blurry.
'It's been a prevalent notion. Fallen sparks. Fragments of vessels broken at the Creation. And someday, somehow, before the end, a gathering back to home. A messenger from the Kingdom, arriving at the last moment. But I tell you there is no such message, no such home -- only the millions of last moments . . . nothing more. Our history is an aggregate of last moments.'

seeing as I visit the neighbourhood hat I grew up in ever christmas, I'd say it reall doesn't matter all that much, besides I can't even pull up my birth city on the street-view. (I can visit via satelite view, but that it.)

Speaking of Google Earth, try looking up the marine base near the San Diego Harbor. There's a rather embarrassingly-shaped structure there. (It has to be seen from above, and you should notice it right away. It's not something many are likely to forget)

I was raised in Texas, and I visit my birthland very often :\ I never feel that kind of nostalgia. All Google does is annoy me by unfiltering adult sites when I try to look for something unrevelant like "Elephant" :|

Besides that, Google has a freaking picture of my house. I don't think I will be using Maps anytime soon. X_X...

I can see my house from StreetView... luckily I wasn't outside when it came around. xD But streetview isn't available where I was born yet.

This doesn't really apply to me. I've been living in the same house that I was rasied in all my life.
That is, unless you mean the first few days of my life in the hospital...

Heh. Nice catch. I just now put that in "My Places" on Google Earth. :cheeky:

Meh, my childhood house would provoke memories... if we didn't visit our old neighbours often...

I get a decent picture of that house and my current ones on streetview, though.

Nostalgia can be sad though. Especially if it relates to something you really miss.

I don't see it >_<.

Anyways, the old area where I used to live is too blurry to see.
It really makes me want to throw my DS down the Empire State Building and watch it smash into a billion pieces.
