I had to write a poem based on a tragic or sad event and so I wrote this poem based of off the bombing at Olympic park. Some of my peers said they liked it so I decided to put on PC :P. My favorite poem that I've written was an ode to a pencil :P. Enjoy!

The sun shone bright
Laughter in the air
The games commenced
and all was fair

Running, Swimming, Throwing
David Johnson and Tom Davis watch
the games when a man accosts
then he looks at his watch

With a face full of despair
Something had to be said
Johnson paid him attention and
Thus began what he said

“A bomb, a bomb
Thirty minutes to spare
Please sir, please sir
A bomb dares to flare”

“Davis, Tom Davis
A bag, a green one”
The walkie-talkie sounds
Three, two, one

Boom, bang, ba-boom
The explosion spreads
Corpses are swung
Eyes filled with dreads

A stream of ambulances
Flooded the place
The wounded were at hand
All in red glaze

“Was that a bomb?
It is, it is”
Cried the people because
Of the tale of his
A small town ^^
