IF you notice, im horrible in math. Im flunking it at my college. And most times, I feel like giving up in math, I sit there lost and dazing thinking I could be doing something better with my time. Please give me advice also how to get focused, stay organized and whatnot.

Thanks and vote.

No, I've never hated school enough to want to drop a subject. I know I would regret it.

i wanna be the wind that fills your sails,
& be the hand that lifts your veil.
& be the moon that moves your tide,
the sun coming up in your eyes.
be the wheels that never rust,
& be the spark that lights you up.
all that you've been dreaming of and more,
so much more, i wanna be your everything.. <3

Well... I dropped English this year. It's not really necessary for me anymore and I never enjoyed it in the first place.
All my other subjects that I'm taking I'm fine with and enjoy (Sciences, Mathematics and Japanese), but I did drop all the social studies based subjects awhile back as well.

Ugh, I hate English. I have never had a single good English teacher. I think I can honestly say that I can write essays better than most kids my age already, and I get that Shakespeare was a great playwright and we should worship him, etc., and now it just seems like the only reason to take English is so that I'm busy when I get home from school.

Maybe if I had an English teacher that wasn't an elitist a****** that would change, but it doesn't seem likely. But I'm sure there is some good reason to take English, sometimes it's just really hard to see. :(

I went through a stage recently where I didn't particularly enjoy English Literature, but that was more down to me procrastinating on homework/coursework, not handing it in and then being too afraid to face the teacher. I've sorted that out, but I'm still thinking that I'll be dropping English Literature at the end of this school year (normally we have to drop one of our AS-level subjects before progressing to A2 - if it turns out that I get good marks maybe I'd try and keep all six of my subjects).

I've never been good at Social Studies -- I started learning about this stuff in 7th grade. That's pretty late.
I never really caught up.

Language has always been my weakest subject - I mean, I used to not care about it until 7th grade, when I decided to actually try it....

I don't have a problem with any of my subjects now, though, but some are getting there...

I felt like giving up Language, in which I did, so I just voted for Language Arts.

I don't really mind school all that much, so I just have fun, do what I have to do and try to forget about all the stressful sides to school. And trust me, there isn't many when you really think about it.

Maths. I meant, how could you practically use the Pythagoras' Theorem in everyday life? I mean, a few years later you would completely forgot most of the formulas, so why bother?

Physics. I regret the day choosing it as my Combined Science. I should have chosen Pure Chemistry as it is easier, but I'd choose Physics over biology anyday.

And Principles of Accounts, I only chose this subject because I can't take English Literature. I'm pretty sure when I'm getting a job, I'm not gonna be an accountant...

Oh, and noticed that the subjects I want to give up includes numbers?

Right now it'd probably be Linear Algebra but I'm only struggling because I keep forgetting to go to class. :[ I'm gonna need a maaaajor catch-up by the time the exam rolls around.

As for general subjects? I couldn't stand English. I'm good at writing and at writing essays specifically. I was good at reading books and understanding plot devices and the important messages within them but I just... I can't stand subjective courses like that. If the teacher doesn't like your writing style then it's all too easy for them to dock marks everywhere and fail you. At least with things like math/science, there's a right answer to work toward and so long as you show your work and get that answer, you get the marks. I muuuch prefer that. :[

Too bad I couldn't drop English all through high school. It was required right through to grade 12.

Welllll.
I'm in an advanced placement program called IB (International Baccalaureate) and you have to take Spanish through middle school and high school.

I hate Spanish. I really, really, do. I can read it, write it, and understand the concepts. But I don't like it. My teacher (who everyone loves because she is just so nice) is my least favorite easily. I can't speak Spanish worth my butt, and I just hate it. I want with all my heart to be able to drop it in high school and go take Stagecraft, but I can't. IB is my ticket to a good college.

So I truck on. I get good grades, but I just dislike it.

And you can probably tell through my long rant that I'm very pro-Language Arts/English.
