It's true, don't deny it. SEGA has like 8 good frachises in its closet that haven't been revived for years. And Madworld is just awesome. Gorey on several levels, but awesome! The next list may bring you back and with the exception of one game, that had a not so standard-ly good game on the Wii, these games haven't been touched for too long.

1- NiGHTS

I know, NiGHTS had a Wii sequel. But it didn't stack up to that magnificent Saturn/PS2 game that made me want to fly, using a jester wearing purple and whose name had 5 capital letters and one lower case letter. Let me sum it up for you...

NiGHTS KICKS BUTT!!

2- Ristar

This poor guy had one game and, I can't beleive I'm saying this, but he is treated WORSE than Kid Icarus. At least Pit was in Brawl and had a Gameboy game, Ristar got jack-squat. I would do anything, just to hear that guy to ask," Play with me?" I really do...

3- Billy Hatcher

Honestly, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg wasn't that awesome but he still somewhat rocks. Just bring him back, we could use a rolling motion on the Wii or the Sixaxis to control the egg, it'd be perfect (sorry 360!).

4- Space Channel 5

Last we saw of Ulala was she was dancing away. But to where? Another Space Channel 5 game would be awesome! Ulala was a hidden character in Sonic Riders, this proves SEGA remembers her. Just bring her back for her own game!

5- Jet Radio

I hear the Concept of Love playing in my head right now. Jet Grind Radio is a Dreamcast classic and Jet Set Radio Future was a great kick in the pants as an XBOX launch title. I want to tag, do insane tricks and grind up 90 degree angles again SEGA!

6- Comix Zone

Just like Ristar, Comix Zone was a one time gig. And it was AWESOME!! If it were brought back on the 360, the PS3 even the DS it has to keep one rule at the least! You have to be able to bash people thru the panels, that just never gets old!

7- Streets of Rage

Streets of Rage > Final Fight

I've nothing more to say, SEGA's beat-em-up OWNS Capcom's (STREETWISE SUX!!).

8- Vectorman

This guy was planned to be brought back, but his PS2 title got dropped due to looking like as if Darth Vader and Master Chief had a baby. Just bring this guy back to the DS. He'll be in a left to right sidescroller and no longer in pseudo-3d but in true, polignal 3d. C-A-L-L A C-A-B. I will never forget that...

I'm assuming I'm missing one. No, I know who Alex Kidd is and if you haven't seen the Screwattack VGV of Alex Kidd and the Enchanted Castle, you'll know he's in a grave in Altered Beast. So remember, Sonic the Hedgehog is the most important franchise SEGA has! Sure his games ain't that great, but we have to put as much effort as possible into him with gimmicks included. Who cares about other franchises, it's the star player on a basket ball team that makes the whole team. The others don't matter jack-squat! (sarcasm)

And Super Monkey Balls too, only Aiai and Sonic matter.

Other than NiGHTS and Sonic, I dont feel that Sega has put out that many memorable games. I'm sorry, I'm just not a Sega fan. XD

But with NiGHTS, I played that on the Saturn and I really enjoyed it...in fact it's how I came to love the color purple. XD

As for Sonic, I grew up with a Sega Genesis as my first real gaming system, so I have some rather fond memories of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and 3.

It is surprising more people haven't heard about Jet Set Radio/Future, I practically worshiped the game on the Dreamcast and played it almost religiously when it debuted on the XBOX. Although, aside from that, only a few Sonic the Hedgehog games and Ristar caught my attention. I'm just not that fond of SEGA.

MADWORLD's style reminds me of XIII and seems rather unique, but personally, it doesn't give me much hope after Sonic and the Black Knight's premiere...

Ristar and Comix Zone are great games..
I used to have Ristar back in the day [but never Comix Zone].
And recently, I've been able to play both since a family member brought me Mega Drive classics for my PSP.
They're both truly brilliant games, and I'd love to see these remade.

Hahaha...Such bile Waka my boy...if you weren't an ent around here you'd be bait.

But I digress, Sonic has been a classic gaming character, what the games he stars in lack in gameplay, is easily made up by the pure nostalgia value and charisma the character brings. I know for some that may not be enough, but Sega must be doing something right, to be able to live so long off of Sonic, and be able to afford making the many mistakes they have made, like the Dreamcast, and a number of other failed game franchises and projects. Sega has always fought long and hard to stay up and running. The folks down at Sega aren't quite useless it seems...every time things look bleak for them they drop a golden egg and then subsist comfortably and work on their stuff.

If there's one thing the folks at Sega understand, that no other company seems to get is that you can't rush a game out. I've noticed that every time Sega has been forced to put out a game quickly, it didnt do so hot. All the games that Sega has been given enough time to sit on, come out very well executed and seem to do well.

Beyond Sonic and NiGHTS, I'm not much of a Sega fan but that doesnt mean I havent been paying attention to what they're up to.

Out of the list its only NiGHTS and Billy Hatcher i've heard of and anyway Sega really need to revive their franchises.

As for Sonic there have been some excellent 3d Sonic games that Sega has made such as Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. Theres actually nothing wrong with Sonic, all Sonic games need is to stick to its old roots, stop adding stupid uncalled for gimmics such as the Werehog and Sword play (which take out the whole gameplay of Sonic games) , delay there games alot often to have more time to work on and add better level design. Its only Sega trying stupid expiraments with Sonic thats all.
