Fav Villian: Kefka Palazzo, that bat**** insane clown!

Fav. Song/Musical Score: I have a few. Terra/Tina (FFVI/Dissidia), Boss Battle (FFIV/Dissidia), The Dreadful Fight (FFIV/Dissidia), Those Who Fight (FFVII), Cosmos (Dissidia), Chaos (Dissidia), Normal Battle (FFX), All Main Theme (CCFFVII), On the Verge of the Assault (CCFFVII), Advent One Winged Angel (FFVIIAC), The World's Enemy (CCFFVII), SOLDIER Battle (CCFFVII), The Price of Freedom, Suteki da Ni (FFX), Eyes on Me (FFVIII), Melodies of Life (FFIX)

Speaking of music, in the ending musical score of Dissidia Final Fantasy, several references to musical scores from the first 10 FFs can be heard. Be sure to listen for them when the game is released, or if you have the OST (like me), alternatively, you can search for the song on YouTube.
* Ending Theme - Final Fantasy, played during the epilogue after defeating Chaos
* Finale - Final Fantasy II, also known as Love Will Grow
*The Everlasting World - Final Fantasy III
*Epilogue - Final Fantasy IV
*Ending Theme - Final Fantasy V
*Balance is Restored - Final Fantasy VI, specifically the Cyan's Theme segment
* Staff Roll - Final Fantasy VII, specifically the Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII segment
* Eyes on Me - Final Fantasy VIII, wordless version
* Melodies of Life - Final Fantasy IX, wordless version
* Ending Theme - Final Fantasy X, specifically the To Zanarkand segment

Well guys, for those of you that haven't heard, Final Fantasy XIV was announced at E3. Its official title is Final Fantasy XIV -Online-. I will be so peeved if its like XI, which in my opinion shouldn't have been a numbered entry at all and just called Final Fantasy Online, thus making XII XI and XIII XII. I just hate it because, well not a bad game in the least, it didn't even have a completable story and thus should have been a side game. XIV will likely follow suit in my mind.

by god another damn online FF game? im sorry take it out of the numbered series as suggested above if ur doin that crap :\
i dont think FF was meant to be online. at least not like that. there would be a right way to do it but i dont think SE has realized that method yet lol.

okay that prompts this new topic:(well ive got two actually :P)
1.Will you buy XIV if it's the same essential thing as XI?
definitely not xD
2.How would you make a FF online game?
i honestly would have it follow the essentials. form a party (if u want) isolate the battles, obviously real time fighting, HAVE A COMPLETEABLE STORY!!! i mean cmon its Final Fantasy not ENDLESS fantasy lolz. maybe have some cameos from other chars. and NO MONTHLY PAYMENT THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING IN THE WORLD!

Final Fantasy VII is on the PSN? Thats great news, although I won't buy it. My original version of VII still works fine not to mention I'm sure it will be remade someday. Although this may change if I get a job, I will need more games to play on my PSP.

More info about Final Fantasy XIV -Online-

The game will take place in a new world called Eorzea, where the players will take part in mighty battles upon Airships. It will be directed by Nobuaki Komoto with art design done by Akihiko Yoshida. Music will be done by a returning Nobuo Uematsu, this being the first full musical score he has composed for a Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy IX. The trailer and official artwork show all five playable races returning from Final Fantasy XI, including Hume, Galka, Elvaan, Mithra, and Tarutaru.

Its great to see Uematsu return, but I probably won't buy it unless there is an offline story mode to go along with it.

I suggest you should just for the sake that now you can play FFVII anywhere the hell you want, that's the beauty of the portable systems.

@Thunder, Actually FFXI sells extremely well. We single-player FF gamers don't know it, but there's tons of MMO gamers out there who play FFXI. Suprisingly, the MMORPG community is... huge. xD Square inhales gil with FFXI. It'll probably slow down considerably with the FFXIV release though.

Square this time around is trying to make FFXIV appealing to the single-player FF gamer - adding Uematsu back in and words such as "Hume", such terminology has only been Ivalice games, with all other humes being referred to as humans obviously in the other games.

If anything, FFXIV is fun to say, fun to type, and Amano's cover artwork is a lot better at XIV's than XIII's, though I must say vs XIII's cover was good.

*goes into Amano rant*

FF1's cover(redone logo) was pretty good, as was the PSP cover art. The original FF's 1-3 didn't have cover art at first.

FF2's was okay, it's fine with that or the PSP cover art.
FF3's was the most complicated design for a cover art thus far.
FF4's was excellent as Kain in the Cover art, but with Golbez Cover art on the DS, it seems too big, like FFXII's.
FF5's is nice, the fancy dragon lol
FF6's Magitek cover art was intricate, and one of my favorites
FF7's was... honestly, not the best. For all Amano could have drawn, he drew the planet. xD
FF8's is nice, and stuck to the plot well with the cover art.
FF9's is the crystal. I like the color yellowed, but the Crystal is, though reminiscent, too basic
FF10's, I love. The Sending drawn by Amano, this could be my favorite cover art.
FF11's was okay. I had little opinion on it.
FF12's is too big like the FF4 DS one, but still neat. If you turn it upside down, you get Dustia! xP
FF13's is basic again, maybe to stick with VII's, but I tend to like the intricate drawings.
FF14's now is nice, beautiful, though frankly I don't like it on the side of the FF logo. All previous had been more intertwined with the logo, especially FF5's Dragon.

*whew* Okay, I'm done. ;D xD

Actually he draw Meteor and if you look towards the end of Meteor, you can see the Holy Materia. Its perfectly round, so you can tell.

I loved VI's, it'll always be my fav. I hope they don't change it for the DS release, when they do it, unless its something better.

Yes but to do that you'd need a larger memory stick and the ROM of FFVII. I own the PSX version, though I did download PC FFVII a while back. The game never worked on my compy, and the files are long gone.

After all that, this FFVII has the widescreen mode for the PSP :P And it'd not stretched out. That's what I love about official releases.

Does anyone know exactly how to buy FFVII via PSN? Cuz I sure as hell don't, and I really need to. xD Please, telll me!

Also, this means we may get FFVIII and IX later as time goes on! *dances*

There is a PSP update that adds a PSN area to your PSP menu selections. You go to the store section and search games, than search PS1 Classics. On that list is FFVII, select it and select "Buy". It will take you to a screen where you log in or make a log in. Do either one, when you're done, repeat the previous steps to get back to FFVII, select buy and you'll go to the buying screen. At the top of the screen it says "Add Points", you can either do a Credit Card or redeem PSN Points Card. Once thats finished, purchase the game. Make sure you have room on your MemStick though.

We just might, they added Final Fantasy Tactics to the PS1 Classics in Japan before they added FFVII, so I'm expecting that first, but its highly likely that we will.

Thanks CW! ;D

Why would they add FFTactics to the PS1 Classics when FFTactics WotL can easily be bought? The original may be better with some of the translations(definitely not Teta/Tietra, Teta means boobs in Brazillian or something), but they're pretty much the same?
