Couldn't really thibk of a better name...
I decided to try out a fan-fic. If you think it has potential, I'll continue whenever I can.
It was another day in Pallet Town. The sun had just risen over the horizon, the Dodrio cried its screechy cry, Professor Oak was awaiting the new trainers aspiring to become pokemon masters, and these boys were getting ready to leave on their journey.
Sean had gotten up pretty early that morning, excited at the prospect of finally becoming a trainer. Sean was pretty quiet. Never talked in School unless asked to give answers, and yet wasn't shy. If you tried to make conversation, he would talk.
Spooning his cereal into his mouth, he thought of the journey that lay ahead, the trials that awaited. His best friends, Plusle and Minun, had woken at last and wandered into the kitchen and awaited breakfast.
"Finally up, are you?" Sean asked. They nodded. "Right, i'll get your food right now, then I have to get ready."
After pouring them dry cereal, Sean rushed back to his room to change out his night clothes. He pulled on his baggy blue jeans, loose black shirt with a Pokeball on the front, red and white fingerless gloves, plain socks and black shoes, he rushed back downstairs and found Plusle, Minun and his mother waiting for him in the Ktchen.
"It's today already", his mother sighed, "I'm gonna miss you so much."
"Don't worry mum, i'll call often." Sean reassured her.
After they said their goodbyes, Sean, Plusle and Minun walked to Professor Oaks lab, arriving at the same time as another boy.
"Becoming a trainer are you?" The boy asked.
"Yep." Sean replied.
"I'm Paddy, are those your Pokemon?" Paddy enquired.
"I'm Sean, and yeah, hopefully, they'll be my starters."
"Two starters? Oak won't let you away with that." Paddy warned.
"So, what kinda name's Paddy? Sounds like an old guy's name." Sean asked as they walked to the door of Oaks lab, were Oak himself was standing waiting.
"Short for Patrick." He mumbled.
"There you are! The other two boys been and gone already! There's only one Pokemon left! Hmm... that may cause problems."
"No problem professor, These guys here are my starters." Sean informed him, pointing at Plusle and Minun, who waved cheerily at Oak.
"Two Pokemon? I'm afraid I can't allow it. It isn't fair for the others." Oak explained, pulling out the last Pokeball. "This here's the last pokemon, Charmander. You'll have to decide who gets it. Hmm? What're your Pokemon doing?"
Sean looked at his Pokemon, who seemed to be having a discussion. Eventually, Minun ran off towards route 1.
"Hey, Minun! What're you doing?!" Sean made to run after him, but Plusle blocked his path, and started making sounds and jumped around, as if pretending to fight another pokemon.
"Ah! It seems that Minun has left you with Plusle, and technically you only have one pokemon!" Oak explained to the boys. "I guess this means you get Charmander then, err.."
"Paddy" he said, taking the Pokeball. "Thanks!"
Oak gave them their Pokedex's and pokeball's, and wished them luck on their journey. They walked towards route 1, saying nothing.
"Hey, Sean, how about we battle?" Paddy asked.
Sean thought for a moment. "Sure." He replied.
They took their positions about thirteen feet away from each other.
"Let's go, Plusle!" Sean said, and plusle jumped towards the middle of their battlefield.
"Charmander, GO!" Paddy shouted, throwing his Pokeball towards the spot in front of Plusle. Charmander out its ball.
"Plusle, start things out with a Thunder wave!" Sean commanded, and Plusle discharged electricity and shot it at Charmander.
"Dodge, now" Paddy cried, and Charmander side-stepped the electricity. "Scratch it now!"
"Plusle, Quick attack!"
Plusle managed to tackle Charmander to the ground before it could scratch, and jumped back. "Excellent work, Plusle, now, Growl!"
"Pluuuuuuusslleeee...." Plusle made it's intimidating sound, which unnerved the charmander.
"Don't be afraid of that thing, Ember attack, now" Paddy commanded.
Charmander shot some fire at Plusle, who was engulfed in the fire.
"Plusle, Quick Attack outta there!" Plusle sped away from the ember. "Now Quick attack Charmander again!"
"Charmander, Scratch it!"
Both attacks collided with each other and knocked them both to the ground. They lay there for a few seconds. Eventually, one of them begn to stir...
Woo, long chapter, hope it isn't boring.
