Just something I wrote out of broedom. This prolouge is long! It doesn't have much to do with the plot, except introduce the Main Characters. But, I thought it was nice to start with some action. Its sloppy. I'll fix it later.

Prologue
The sounds of the stadium roared in the boy’s ears. It had taken him many battles to achieve this. He could feel the power in the six balls attached to his belt. Few trainers had reached this stage in battle and none had gotten past it.
“First up is our Champion! Let’s give him a round of applause!” cried the commentator. Whistle, yells and clapping could be heard miles away from the stadium.
The boy turned towards the exit. Only a glimpse of the Champion could be seen from the small doorway. He took a deep breath and grinned. Turning his hat around, he prepared to enter.
“Get ready, guys,” he whispered to his pokeballs. “This is it!”
“And finally, the Challenger!”
The boy slowly walked out the exit and saw the stadium go pitch black. Suddenly the overhead lights were all focused on him. He saw the shadowy figure of the Champion and the crowd.
“Undefeated, our challenger is none other than pokemon trainer, Leon Drakon!”
Leon looked behind him and saw his family and friends sitting above the exit. His friends Lexis and Richard were sitting by his mother and sister. An empty seat was next to them. His face fell. Leon’s mother saw where he was looking and smiled.
“Now, this is truly an interesting match-up!”
A spotlight appeared over the Champion. He was tall with blonde spiked hair. A cocky expression on his face, he grinned a familiar grin. As the Champion looked at him, Leon got nervous. No wonder his mother was smiling.
“Leon has to face the biggest challenge of his life,” the commentator stated, “As he prepares to battle Lance Drakon!”
Leon hadn’t seen his older brother since he had left for the Jhoto region. He watched as the referee walked onto the field.
“You know the rules,” he said. “Six pokemon each. Only the challenger may make substitutions. Ready? Begin!”
“Typlosion, go!” yelled out Lance as he threw up a pokeball. A red beam shot out of it and Typlosion appeared.
“Metallic, you’re up!”
Empoleon landed on the field, glaring at the Typlosion.
“Flare Blitz!”
“Dodge and use Bubble Beam!”
As the ray of bubbles ceased, Typlosion collapsed. Lance held up its pokeball and it was forced back into the ball. The grin on his face suggested he had a plan.
“Come on out, Gengar!”
As the ghost pokemon appeared, Leon winced. Lance had used this pokemon often to scare him before they had left home.
“Metallic, use hydro pump!”
“Hypnosis!”
The blast of water broke through the hypnotic rings and hit Gengar full on. After stumbling about for a few seconds, it fainted.
“Ampharos, you’re up next!”
Before the pokemon even appeared on the stadium, Lance began issuing orders.
“Thunder!”
An unsuspecting Leon watched as the bolt of lightning hit his Empoleon full on. It collapsed and Leon brought it into its pokeball.
“Good job, Metallic,” he said to the ball. “Blaze, time to shine!”
An Infernape appeared on the field. Jumping up and down, it couldn’t contain its excitement.
“I never thought fighting you would be this easy,” Leon said. “Not so strong now that you don’t have your muscles backing you up, huh?”
Lance simply grinned. The entire stadium was utterly silent.
“Flamethrower!”
“Discharge!”
As the attacks landed, both pokemon were thrown back. Infernape struggled to stand, but it did. Ampharos stayed on the ground and was called back to its pokeball.
“Lets finish this, Mamoswine!”
A mammoth like pokemon appeared on the field, much to Leon’s dismay.
“Yeah. I visited Sinnoh just to evolve this little guy. I actually did it after watching your fight with Volkner. I knew you were coming and I made this team just to take you down.”
Leon smiled. Lance seemed to have made one grave error. Mamoswine was an ice type. And Blaze was fire.
“Flare Blitz!”
“Hydro Pump!”
Both attacks hit with deadly force. When the dust finally cleared, neither pokemon stood.
“Great job, Blaze” Leon said. “Get a nice rest.”
Lance threw his next pokeball into the air, without even mentioning the name. Leon rolled his eyes and waited to see what pokemon he needed to counter with.
A water-like dog appeared onto the field. A purple mane and silver ribbons flowing down its back, the pokemon was a sight. Suicune.
“Blade, you’re on!”
A giant turtle appeared on the field with a tree growing out of its back.
“Leaf Storm!”
“Blizzard!”
The attacks met head on and a large explosion erupted. Blade was thrown back towards Leon, who dodge in the nick of time. Suicune was slammed into the wall full force.
“Synthesis!”
While Torterra was recharging off of sunlight, Suicune was stumbling around in a daze. Lance has a sour look on his face.
“Solarbeam!”
After a few seconds or recharging, a beam of light shot out and hit Suicune. It rolled on the ground a few times before landing unconscious at Lance’s feet.
“Return,” he said. “It’s all up to you now. Umbreon, I choose you!”
A black dog pokemon appeared on the field. Leon smiled.
When the two of them left Blackthorn town to begin training, Professor Elm had given them Eevees to take. He had just assumed it would be a Espeon or Jolteon. Not a dark type.
“Return!”
“Earthquake, then use crunch!”
Before Blade could do anything, the return hit Torterra and it collapsed.
“Return, Blade,” Leon said. “I never realized Umbreon liked you so much it would knock out my Torterra.”
Leon tossed up a pokeball and watched as sparks flew out.
“Thunder, lets electrify the crowd!”
The Luxray ran around the field.
“Fissure!”
A gapping hole opened under Thunder’s feet and it fell in. The pokemon was shot out at Leon’s feet, fainted.
A ray of red light brought Luxray back into is pokeball. Leon touched the two remaining pokeballs he had. Perhaps Umbreon needed to be hit with some Jhoto power.
“Ty, this is it!”
A large roar came as a dinosaur pokemon landed on the field. The Tyranitar began stomping the ground in rage.
“Outrage!”
“Dodge then us Hyperbeam!”
Ty went into a rampage and began attacking a constantly moving Umbreon. All the while Umbreon was charging to unleash Hyper beam.
“Now!”
The attack hit Ty full force and the pokemon fell to the ground.
“Tyranitar is un-”
Despite Leon’s own thoughts, Ty stood and grimaced.
“Rage. Then use hyper beam yourself!”
While Umbreon was recharging, Ty shot out its hyper beam. Dust began to cover the stadium so Leon couldn’t see what happened.
“Reflect.”
The hyper beam shot back at Ty and hit him full force. The pokemon collapsed from exhaustion.
“Return, Ty,” Leon said.
He grabbed the last pokeball and stared. Now or never.
“Luke, come on out!”
An Umbreon appeared on the field. It glowed for a few seconds. Unlike Lance’s Umbreon, Luke’s rings were blue.
“This is it,” Leon said. “Now or never. I’m not losing!”
“Umbreon, Toxic!”
“Luke, dodge it and use Ice Beam!”
Just as the poisonous bubles were about to hit Luke, he shot up and shot a bolt of ice right into Umbreon’s face. The pokemon flew back from the hit, but stood strong.
“Crunch, then use Return!”
“Faint Attack, then Assurance!”
Luke disappeared and reappeared behind Umbreon. It hit the pokemon, then attacked once more, causing double the damage.
Umbreon was knocked to the ground, but it still stood up again.
“Come on, Umbreon! This isn’t hard!”
“Luke, you’re doing great!”
The Shiny Umbreon smiled while the other only grimaced.
“Return, once more!”
“Luke, its your Last Resort!”
Both pokemon hit full force, knocking each other to the ground in a cloud of dust. But when it cleared, only one Umbreon remained standing.
“Luke!”
Umbreon was called back into its pokeball by its remosefull trainer.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our champion. Leon Drakon!”
