Alright. XD This is a little something that was written at the spur of a moment, a story that came to mind one night while I was craving a good, scary story. I really like the concept, but I'd like to hear the opinions of others before I decide to continue the story or not. I consider this half a rough draft and half a final copy -- there are still kinks that I want to fix, but the story won't be changing dramatically. So, without further adieu, here's Odaiba~ :D

Spoiler:
_______"The body of Hoshino Manami was found on the curb of the Miakaimo train station located near the shores of Odaiba. The train station has been abandoned ever since the city put the transportation project on hold a little over thirty years ago, and has been used as nothing more but a hangout for the middle school children of the area since then. Because of this, all of the children that have been seen in the area are being interrogated by the local investigative force. The body was found covered in scratches and cuts that were given after the death, and most of the corpse's hair had been chopped off upon discovery. In more local news..."

_______"Hayuata-kun! Hayuata-kun!" A high-pitched voice rang through his ears like a symphony, bringing a smile to his face. Turning around, he knew that the smiling face that would greet him would be none other than Hoshino Manami's... along with the blank stare of her younger sister, who always followed them on their way to school. At first he had thought this was slightly annoying, but after a few weeks, he had began to get over it. She was usually quiet, and when she did speak, she had interesting things to say... He shook his head and smiled at the auburn-tressed femme standing before him, his bright green eyes matching with her own lilac orbs. "Did you get all of your homework done, Manami-chan?" The older girl blinked a few times, causing the boy to pause, and then drastically, she hung her head in shame. "I had forgotten we had homework... This is baaaaaad!" The male laughed only slightly; he should have figured as such. Manami had always been a smart girl, but when it came to getting her work done... she didn't exactly hold anything to be proud of. "It's alright, I'll let you copy mine when we get to school, okay?" The girl's eyes lit up as she clasped her hands together. "Really, Hayuata-kun!? You're a life-saver!"
_______The three continued their walk. "Ne, Hayuata-kun, are you going to golf practice this year? The season's starting next week.." The boy shook his head, sticking out his tongue playfully. "Bleh, you know I'm not gonna. I hate golf... I only did it to make my old man happy, remember?"
_______Manami frowned. "Aw, but Hayuata-kun, you're so good at it!" He released a chuckle. "You think so? Then maybe I'll go this year... as long as you and Tsuki-chan come as my cheerleaders~"
The younger girl only blinked. Her older sister grabbed her hand and cheered. "Go Hayuata-kun go!"
_______"Why don't you just call me Asami already? We've been friends since elementary school..." The girl's cheeks lit up and she buried her face away, smacking the boy's shoulder. "Ah~! Hayuata-kun! You know how I am with that kind of stuff! It took me a year to get used to you calling me Manami!" The girl's younger sister stared off blankly as the two teens, who were obviously infatuated with each other, went at it a bit more. Her own purple eyes held an empty feeling to them; she almost looked right through everyone she passed. She was only a first year middle schooler, dressed in the conservative uniforms they gave the children. Her own brunette strands, along with her glasses, covered a good portion of her face, but for only a moment, she brushed her hair out of her face, clutching her books and things to her chest. Glancing up at the older male, she opened her mouth to say something, but looked almost as if she was having a hard time. "A... Asami-kun." The pale-haired boy glanced over at the younger child, a bit surprised, but then smiled back at Manami. "See? Your sister's got the right idea! It's not that hard!" Manami smiled down at her sister, and then up at Asami... and she nodded. "A... A... Asami-kun... I'll try to make a habit of it!"
_______School was... anything but entertaining. While Asami was more of the type to stare out the window and daydream, Manami was fairly involved, raising her hand at almost every question the teacher asked... and most of the time, she didn't know the answer. Asami... only found this as a cute quality in her. He had to wonder if middle school life was as boring as high school life; those years felt so far away from where he was now, even if he had just been a measly lowerclassman himself two years prior. After a long day of staring at the board and glancing over to Manami across the room every now and then, the bell rang, and the two met up once more. Without a word, the two knew where they'd be spending their time after school... The building had been abandoned about forty years prior, after the railroad project had been postponed. Ever since then, the useless train station had been used as somewhat of a hangout for the kids of Odaiba -- there wasn't anything better to do in the town and the building would simply rot away without being of any use if wasn't used as such. In all truth, Asami didn't see the excitement of it; until the trains started working, it was nothing more than a hollow concrete box... but... Manami loved being there. He felt her mood improve tenfold as they stepped through the gates, her round, bright eyes becoming even more so. She turned and tilted her head some. "I'm going to help this town, Hayuata-kun."
_______"Asami," The male corrected as he nodded with a smile. He had heard her tell this story time and time again, and he loved it every time. He loved that the class procrastinator was able to devote herself to something so strongly... "Look out there. What do you see?" She allowed her finger to direct his gaze out the window, towards the ocean. He nodded. "That's an ocean... an endless, troublesome ocean that only causes pain and isolation. Though we can't get rid of the ocean, we can get around it... and that's why the railroad construction project began. We all chose to live on this island for reasons of our own, but... after forty years, I'm sure some of us, especially the children, would like to see the outside... but..." She frowned for... what Asami believed to be the first time of the day, which in return, caused him to frown as well. "...for whatever reason, the construction of the railroad was postponed. I remember reading that it was due to lack of funds but... why start a project you know you can't finish? I feel as if there's something more going on..." The red-head paused, glancing out the window... and then turning to the white haired male, smiling once more. "I'm going to finish those train tracks when I grow up. And then, everyone can go see their family more... and we can all go to fun places, like amusement parks and concerts... and some of us will end up getting married in the big pretty chapels!" He sighed as he smiled, shaking his head and moving forward to hug the shorter girl... for the first time he had in a long time. She blushed profusely in response, but slowly brought her arms around him as well...
_______From that moment on, Asami had noticed a change in young Manami. after the rainy day at the old, abandoned train station, he held her close, and... had admitted his feelings for her. Thankfully, said feelings were mutual. They became noticably closer; they held hands to, during, and from schoool, and sometimes, they even pecked each other in public (but this wasn't often; said action brought a bright blush to both of their cheeks.) And for a while, Manami seemed happier... much ahppier... until... they started. Manami began to find small notes in her desks and locker at school... and sometimes, even in her own home, in places like her bedroom drawer. The eerie notes never seemed to cease...

_______"I saw what you did in the train station.
_______I know exactly what's going on.
_______I gave you my heart and soul.
_______And now, I'll take yours."

_______Some came with threats of death and torture, and other carried promises of love and a better life... it appeared as if she had a secret admirer. Manami, afraid that Asami would over react, went to her friends for advice at first.
_______"Oooh! Manami-chan! I think you have a stalker! How creepy!" One of the red headed girls laughed a bit. Another fiddled with her glasses and frowned. "That sounds sort of romantic, actually." Though Manami was able to find a few cheap laughs from them, she couldn't get the thought out of her head. That night, she headed straight home, without waiting for Hayuata. Her sister had left a note on the table, stating that she would be over at a friend's house for the night. She would be alone... the moment this htought hit her, she became paranoid. The sun was just beginning to set... night would come and... She shook her head. Everything would be fine.
_______After watching a movie to calm her nerves, she headed to take a bath, and once she was clean, she slipped into her pajamas and... it was dark. The only thing that lit her room was the light of the moon that filtered through her blinds. She smiled nervously to herself; for once, she feared the dark. Trying to get it over with, she headed into her bed and snuggled under the covers, her back facing the window. Her eyes slowly drooped shut... Knock. They snapped back open. She stared at the wall; the knock had come from the front door, but there was no way she'd get up to answer it. If it was Tsuki... she would have a key, and if she had forgotten it... she wouldn't be able to knock that hard. The knocking only got louder and louder, and slowly, she picked up the pattern. Knock, knock... knock, knock, knock, knock... knock, knock... It reminded her of a cheesy lullaby from a horror movie. The thought of her "stalker" hadn't left her mind... She had become so frightened that her head was hidden under her blanket with her eyes clenched shut. After what seemed like an eternity... it stopped. A minute passed... and then another. Slowly, she lifted her head and glanced around... the only other human-like form she saw was the shadow of herself on the blankets. Relieved, she lied back down, her head resting on the cool pillow. KNOCK. This time, it was louder than it ever had been before. Her eyes shot open, and what frightened her more than the knocking it's self was... the shadow of somebody else along her wall and sheets. Somebody... was outside of her window.

_______Her eyes were as blank as the pure gray sky that flew above her. The bright, bubbly girl who was usually seen bouncing around and smiling seemed cold... distant... sad. Asami had been worried about her... and seeing as she hadn't walked home with him for a while, he was upset. He approached her with a frown. "Manami-chan, are you oka--" She brushed right past him. He... stared in absolute disbelief. She was ignoring him?! The bell rang, and classes began. Manami's assigned seat was right by him, so he figured he had quite a while to talk to her. And as the lecture began, he pulled out a notebook and wrote.

_______"Manami-chan, are you alright?"
_______The girl didn't even look down. Asami grumbled and scribbled the message out, starting over.
_______"Is it something I did?"
_______Again, the girl wouldn't even look down. Asami was getting irritated. He scribbled down something else.
_______"I'm your best friend, and more importantly, your boyfriend! If something's wrong, I deserve to know!"
_______Her eyes remained unphased. He stood, glaring down at her and ignoring everybody else in the room momentarily. The boy slammed his fist into the desk and began to scream at her. "How am I supposed to help you if you don't freaking talk to me!?" This time, he had gotten her attention. Her empty eyes almost immediately filled with fear. His words didn't leave any impact on her... but the sound of his fist slamming on the desk echoed through her mind without cease. Knock, knock... knock, knock, knock, knock... An ear-shattering scream filled the room. The chocolate haired girl staggered back quickly, knocking over her desk as she did so. "No... stop, stop! Get away from me!" She flailed some, stumbling over to one of the corners of the room and clutching her head. Asami stared, frozen on the spot. The other children had stood up quickly, sliding out of their chairs... one had moved a bit too quickly and their chair hit the floor with a loud knock. Knock, knock... It was then that the girl stood, clutching her fists and glaring. After taking a few, slow, heavy steps, she lunged towards the child, tackling them to the ground, grabbing the fallen chair, and...

_______Both students were sent to the hospital.

_______Asami... wanted to see Manami immediately. He had to find out from her friends that she was being threatened... He would have tried to put a stop to it, but... her health and well-being was more important. Why she hadn't told him was a mystery to him still.
The student who had been seriously injured by Manami's attack didn't press charges... and really couldn't if he had wanted to, for insanity was a possible plea. Asami waited at the hospital for hours, way past the rise and set of the sun. There wasn't much one could do, waiting in a hospital... he overheard quite a few conversations.

_______"Tsk tsk... I heard the Hoshino girl finally lost it." A slightly older woman said as she leaned against the wall. The woman next to her smirked ever so slightly. "It's about time. I warned everyone; she's gonna end up exactly like her parents. Didn't I say so?!"
_______"Yeah, yeah,"
_______ Asami couldn't help but to frown painfully... the memory of the loss of Manami's parents was a memory burned into his mind. Both were people who had come to Odaiba in hopes of starting over; their debt on the main island was absolutely atrocious and they were promised a new beginning on the once uninhabited isle. The two were married, and then Manami and Tsuki were born... and after their children became old enough to go to school, they had realized that their children deserved a better future. And so, it became their goal in life to finish the railroad or find some way off of the island. They began by protesting the construction of the railroad, but the mainland cities never gave them a response. Eventually, they took matters into their own hands; they borrowed a government boat (Manami's father had been old highschool friends with one of the soldier's on guard) and they began to sail out on their own. Not a soul had heard from them for a week... then two.. By the time they were found, they were long gone... but were barely recognizable. Other than the fact that their bodies were disfigured due to the picking of birds and other animals, but... it had appeared that a few of their limbs were chopped off... the father held the mother's arm in his mouth, even through death. The once happy, loving couple had gotten lost... and hunger, disparity and lack of common sense had driven them insane, and they fought to the death for their survival.
_______Asami held this memory close... for Manami's parents were like his own parents. His mother was a single parent and had died of pneumonia when he was young, and so the two had always looked after him. After they were gone, not only Manami and Tsuki, but he too had to fend for himself. He loved them dearly and... he couldn't stand seeing the sad expression on Manami's face. But life moved on, and though all three tried to live happily from their on out, rumors still continued to spread... Asami's fists clutched together as he resisted the urge to stand up and shout.

_______Eventually, the girl came out, escorted by a male of... impressing stature. He stood taller than Asami by quite a bit; Asami assumed he was in his late twenties or early thirties. His hair was... dark, but not entirely black or brown. Rather, it was a faded black color, a dark gray at best, which was an odd color for a man his age. It was shaped strangely as well; it was noticably longer than most men wore their hair, but only in the front. At the back, it was cut at the nape of his neck. What caught his eyes the most was the male's emerald green orbs, which were shielded by tinted, oval glasses. Though his physical appearance seemed intimidating overall, the soft green turtle neck, along with his genial smile, made him seem almost fatherly. Asami found this comforting. The older male's eyes dripped with sincere sympathy. "The nurses told me that there was a boy out here that's been waiting for quite a while... are you Hayuata Asami-kun?"
_______The boy nodded as his eyes landed on Manami... her eyes were blank once more. He frowned.
_______"My name is Nukuga Totouya. You can call me Touya, if you'd like. I'm Manami-chan's appointed therapist." Asami paused, glancing up at the male and frowning. "T...Therapist? Is Manami-chan alright?" For once, the older man frowned a bit. "Not... exactly. She claims that last night, somebody was knocking on her door, and then on her bedroom window. After delving deeper, it appears this visitor had been there more than once; this is the first time he's made his presence known. She's also been receiving threatening notes and letters which is probably why her reaction to both the actual incidents in her own home and the problem in the classroom was so explosive. She's in a huge state of shock, confusion, paranoia, and fear right now, and I predict she'll get over it soon if she comes to talk to me frequently."
_______Asami let out a dejected sigh, feeling uncomfortable. They were talking about Manami as if she wasn't there... Asami bowed his head politely. "Thank you for all of your help so far, Totouya-sensei, but... what's being done about the stalker?" Totouya nodded and smiled. "The police have already started an investigation. The culprit should be caught soon." Asami flashed a smile of his own.
"Now, Hayuata-kun, does Manami-chan have any guardian that can take her home?" By the way he had worded his sentence, the paler haired boy assumed the therapist was already aware of Manami's situation. He began to explain regardless. "Manami-chan's parents died a few months after her first year in high school. She and her sister have lived alone ever since; all of their other family members live off of the island." Totouya nodded... then frowned some. "Well, I assume you're pretty close to her. Would you mind helping her get back?"

_______Asami felt an emptiness of his own. Though Manami's footsteps met with his almost exactly, she was quiet, speechless, and it was almost as if she had lost herself. It was like he was walking with a porcelain doll."If... anything ever comes up again... call me right away. I promise, I'll protect you." Manami remained silent. Upon arriving, he was greeted by his girlfriend's younger sister, who was... just as quiet as she usually was. Asami felt nothing but feelings of pure dejection for the rest of the night.
_______Slowly, Manami began to improve. For weeks, she wouldn't even say a word; but as she continued her sessions with Totouya, she slowly began speaking again. She was quiet, but her smile was slowly coming back into play... and Hayuata was happy. Every night, the girl went home on her own, without Asami, and occassionally, she would go through social withdrawals... but... She explained that as long as her sister was at home she could heal; her sister offered physical and emotional support. Everything was progressing just fine... until...

_______Sunday had rolled around quickly, and Asami had taken the day to go spend time with Manami.
_______"Manami-nee is in the hospital again," Tsuki explained in monotone, lifting her bandaged arm. "She had another fit last night." Asami bent to the younger girl's level, examining her arm and then smiling sadly, wrapping his arms tightly around her small waist. "Thank you for staying strong for Manami, Tsuki-chan. You... you're helping her so much. We just have to keep strong," Tsuki's facial expression did not change. When he released her, she bowed politely and shut the door. He figured he had the day off... but... he couldn't bring himself to go anywhere but the hospital.
_______The nurse at the front desk informed him that Manami could not be seen at the time and he merely stood in the hallways. He had absolutely nothing better to do... until a certain ash tressed male approached him from behind with a genial smile on his face. He covered Asami's eyes with his palms, to which said male responded to by spinning around after jumping a bit. He sighed in relief. Nukuga spoke before he could.
_______"You came here to see Manami-chan, didn't you?" The pale haired boy nodded. "You're a sweet boy... Manami-chan is lucky. Most boys your age want nothing but to get into their pants... trust me, I know." The therapist laughed slightly, then placed a hand on his shoulder. "Come on, let's go somewhere. You deserve a treat after working so hard to take care of her." Asami had absolutely nothing better to do... He nodded; perhaps if the two of them spoke, they could find the root of Manami's problem. Asami wanted her to get better... so they could both be happy together again.

_______Manami returned from the hospital that night with some of the emotion returning to her eyes. Her sister had left again; there was some group project she and other girls had to work on. Still terribly afraid of the dark and those who lurked in it, she called Asami... only to get the answering machine. She called four times, each time, the worry on her face growing more and more noticable. Where could he be? He always answered when she called... She stumbled through the living room and into the kitchen... and though she had originally stumbled in to find something to eat, she had caught sight of one of the steak knives... and she clutched it in her hands. It wasn't bad to be prepared... After grabbing the knife, she headed into her room... and when she caught sight of the open window, she had to bite back her tears. She hadn't left the window open... With sad eyes and the knife clutching in front of her face, she stepped in, shivering from both fear and the cold. She swung her closet door open nervously, knuckles white, only to see her stuffed animals and school uniforms. There was nothing under her bed... She released a sigh. Nobody was there. As she reached up to close the window, she noticed a small, folded piece of paper on her side table. The window was closed... but she continued to shiver. Unfolding the paper and staring at the letters, her eyes watered... and immediately formed into a glare.

_______Asami sniffled, holding the crying Tsuki's hand as they both watched the casket get covered with dirt. Who... who could take the life of a person like that?! Odaiba was a small island; everyone seemed too kind, too sweet to... But more importantly, it was now obvious that a murdered was on the loose... for detectives and officers, Odaiba was a great place for a criminal to stay; he had no way of getting off the island. But for the residents, it was frightening. It was somebody they knew... somebody they worked with... somebody they lived with. Asami's tear-stained eyes held nothing but ire. The stalker... the one who had caused Manami so much pain before her death... the one who had tormented her down to the very last second... they were the murderer. And... Asami would find that person, even if it cost him his life.
He led young Tsuki home, only to be met up with by a certain therapist down the road. "Asami-kun," The older male projected with his normally sympathetic eyes. "This... whole experience must have been very traumatizing for you. I... would like it if you came and spoke with me everyday, until the pain starts to go away. That's my job, you know; I'm here to listen."
_______Asami nodded some, feeling tears well up in his eyes again. "W-What about Tsuki-chan? S... She'll probably need it more than I do." Totouya smiled, crossing his arms. "Asami-kun, you're too sweet for your own good. Besides, I've already asked Tsuki-san if she'd like therapy as well, but she declined. It appears as if she's more of an individual and would rather handle this herself." With a hesitant, neutral frown, the blonde tried to speak again, but not a word would come out. Instead, he merely nodded his head, brushing past the taller male and almost running back to his own home.

_______"Arigatou gozaimasu, Totouya-sensei." His voice was just barely more than monotone, but Totouya accepted the gratitude whole-heartedly either way. It had been a few days, but Asami hadn't been feeling any better... the thought of Manami not being around anymore shattered him entirely. He mounted his bike slowly, figuring he would stop somewhere to get something to eat before he headed home... surely, he had absolutely nothing better to do. After Manami was hospitalized for the first time, he had dropped everything... all of his after school activities, his relaxation time, and even his friends... without her, he was at a loss. Stepping inside one of the small cafes, he sighed. It was nothing special (nothing on Odaiba was special); just a shabby little things with chairs and tables that gave off the old, country town feel. Upon stepping in, Asami felt a familiar presence around him... and when a larger, goofier looking male waved him over to a table, he felt his dejection deepen further. "Asami-kun! Asami-kuuun!" He stood still for a moment, half debating whether ignoring the man would be the best option or not... and he decided towards the latter, seeing as he would have just created a bigger scene if his friendly greeting had gone unnoticed. He shuffled over with his head low and quickly sat next to the older male, trying to avoid the eyes of the staring cafe. "How've you been, buddy?~" Asami's eyes glanced up at the man in disbelief -- was he really that oblivious to his surroundings? Asami would have only been half-surprised; even at half glance, his companion looked a bit dense. The man next to him was lankier than most... His hair was shortish and a traditional brown color, and his eyes were anything but flashy. All in all, an average looking fellow... however, Asami couldn't ever see him as normal. When the older man caught the boy's saddened eyes, he frowned. "I'm sorry... I was trying to lighten the mood a bit. I figured you'd be tired of all of the sympathy so I just tried to ignore it..." Asami shook his head, trying to get off the subject. "It's fine, Yoroku-sensei."
_______Yoroku glanced down at the ground, and then towards the young teen, flashing a big smile. "So are you ever going to follow up with your golf practices? You really do have the potential to be just as good as your father..." Again, Asami shook his head. "It's really not my thing. I only went along with it so my dad wouldn't be upset." Yoroku only frowned. "Well... okay... but don't go off and sell your clubs, in case you change your mind... It'd take months to get new ones shipped here, especially with the processes we have now..."
Asami bowed, politely excused himself from the table, and set off towards home. Slowly, he was growing less and less fond of the people who surrounded him.

_______The rest of his ride seemed like a blur to him -- he was lost in thought. It had been about a week since the funeral... Tsuki had been quieter than usual, but he had began to see a lot more of her around. He figured that the two of them would have to stick together. The warm wind blew against his face as he continued home... spring was approaching, and the island showed it. Manami's favorite season was spring... Once he had reached his home, he was surprised to see a police car out parked in front, along with a pair of officers, both male, chatting away at the front door.
_______"He... Hello?" The taller male glared some at the stuttering blonde. "Hayuata Asami-san... you are in your third year of high school, and you are not involved in any after school clubs or activities, nor do you have a job. What exactly were you doing out so late?" Asami felt the air around them get much heavier. "I... I was at t-therapy." The silent of the two nodded at the one who had spoken, and almost as if he had tugged a leash, the angrier one withdrawed. Asami bowed hiis head in fear and opened the front door, leading the two men inside. They appeared even more intimidating with the small amount of lighting he had; The one who had shouted at him was larger, and it was more than obvious that he did some working out. His face was rugged, tan, and his dark hair, in contrast to his complexion, made him look almost foreign. His striking yellow eyes instilled even more anxiety into the blonde teenager. His partner was just as intimidating, but in a different respect. He had a long body with dark auburn hair and freckles, along with a pair of navy blue eyes -- he appeared to be an intellectual... and if the brute got too violent, he appeared to be Asami's only lifeline.
_______"My name is Tokewase Jun, but you are to call me nothing other than Officer Tokewase." He grunted as he took a seat on the couch. The gentler male took a seat besides him. "And my name is Sawakaito Makoto. You may call me whatever you like." Asami nodded, withdrawing his own introduction; they already knew exactly who he was. There was a silence.
_______"Do you know why we're here, Hayuata-kun?" Tokewase sighed, staring at the boy, who's eyes were wide with fear. He shook his head.
_______"A golf club was found a few hundred feet from where Hoshino Manami's body was found. It was soaked with what we assume to be her blood." For a moment, Asami appeared entirely clueless, not exactly sure where this was going. Again, the brute sighed. "Please take a look at the photographs." Sawakaito pulled a few polaroids from his formal white jacket and handed them over to the boy... and with only a few words, his entire world came crashing down.
_______"That... that's my father's golf club."
_______"And your father has been dead for a few years now, right?" Tokewase's voice only got louder. "Meaning you're the only one with access to them, right?"
_______Asami could only nod. "A... Are you suspecting me?!"
_______"Now, now, we didn't say that." Sawakaito piped in, hoping to calm the boy down a bit. "It's very possible that somebody else used said golf club as a weapon. We merely came here to gather an alibi from you, to prove your innocence."
_______"Surely, you'll have no problem providing one for us," Tokewase smirked.
_______Asami blinked... and then nodded fairly quickly. "I was with Nukuga Totouya from about 1p.m. until..."
_______ "Until...?" Sawakaito questioned.
_______"...I don't remember."

_______The therapist sat at his desk with a nonchalant frown, typing away and organizing his schedule. He was so busy... He spun around in his chair as he heard a door swing open, and he smiled gently when he recognized the face as Asami. However, the boy spoke before he could do a thing to greet him. "The police suspect me."
Totouya's eyebrow cocked. "Excuse me?"
_______"The police came to my house yesterday. They discovered the murder weapon... it was one of my dad's golf clubs. I couldn't tell them where I was yesterday and now they think I'm the criminal!"
_______The gray haired male faltered. "But you were with me."
_______"I told them that!" Asami projected. "I... could only remember getting to the restaurant but... after that, everything is a blur..." Totouya nodded, frowning noticeably as he held his hand to his chin. "You don't remember me taking you home?" Asami shook his head.
"I had left the table for a minute to go to the restroom, and when I came back, you were complaining that you didn't feel well. What had happened was that the waitress had accidentally brought you alcohol... you were drunk. So I brought you home around 7ish... After that, you were on your own." Asami frowned; this didn't help him at all. "They said that Manami was killed some time between 11PM and 2AM... I... I have no alibi..."
Totouya's eyes widened some. "Asami-kun... are you confessing?!"
_______Asami blinked profusely. "What?! No! I mean... I don't know, I can't remember!" His eyes began to water and tears blinked down his cheeks. The therapist reached forward to offer some comfort to the boy. "Asami-kun... you cared about Manami. If you did do it... it wasn't because you wanted to. Don't let them get to you."

_______The police only came to visit once more. "Have you straightened out your alibi, Hayuata-san?" Tokewase glared down from the counter. Asami gulped. "I was with Nukuga Totouya from about 1p.m. to 7p.m."
_______"And during Hoshino Manami's time of death?"
_______"...I don't remember."
_______"How can you not remember your own whereabouts!?" Tokewase shouted, slamming his fist onto the counter's surface. Sawakaito glared, grabbing a hold of his arm. "Calm yourself." The red head glanced towards the weary eyed blonde, who spoke with a weak voice.
_______"I accidentally got drunk... I don't remember anything after I got to the restaurant."
_______"So is it possible that you got angry while you were drunk, went out, and killed Hoshino Manami?!"
_______"...I don't know!"
_______"I don't even know why I bother! I already have enough evidence to charge you with murder!" The detective shook his head. "Except DNA." Tokewase blinked, stopping in his tracks and then storming out of the home. Sawakaito smiled. "I think you're a good kid, Hayuata-kun. I won't believe you're the murderer until there's proof -- real proof."

_______A search for Hayuata Asami was warranted the next day. An investigative team found a large lock of blonde hair at the scene, belonging to no one other than the suspect. When officials were sent to his home, it was made apparent that he was long gone.

_______His breathing was heavy... as were his legs. Once word has spread that hair had been found at the scene, Asami ran; he wasn't ready for prison. He was still a kid... and he was innocent! He didn't understand. He would never hurt Manami... He loved her. Tears streamed down his cheeks. Things were miserable... and there was no hope. No matter how far he ran... he would be found. He tried his hardest to ignore everything and just kept running... the cuts on his legs from the barrage of branches, the bruises that had formed from trips and falls... and the emotional pain that would slowly tear him up from the inside out. Maybe he'd be lucky... he could find an abandoned boat and try to row out... even if he got lost and starved... he wouldn't be charged with a crime he didn't commit...
_______Eventually, his legs gave out and he collapsed, unable to run any farther. The soft sounds of branches crunching under his feet were replaced with heavy sobs. He hurt emotionally... he wanted to...
_______"Asami-kun~"
_______The therapist's voice rang over the sobs. His eyes lifted to the male, who was standing right above him. He smiled. "Totouya-sensei... I was with you! You can prove my innocence! Help me!" There was something about the gray haired man that was different... his eyes held a different feeling to them than they usually did. Instead of the usual sympathetic, happy glaze, they were embroidered with nothing but lust and hate. Asami's smile faded away.
_______"Asami-kun, I cannot save you from the truth. The truth is that you took her life; the proof tells us so. Won't you remember?"
_______And so the memories began to flow. Totouya knelt to his level, placing a hand on the dirty boy's head as his eyes widened and then went blank.

_______"Asami-kun, Asami-kun!" The phone always clicked dead. Her tears fell heavy as she slammed the phone back into the receiver and ran her fingers through her hair. She glanced back down at the note; it was a confession.

_______"You're much prettier when you cry, Manami-chan.
_______Love, Asami."

_______It was so painful... but she should have known. It was too good to be true. Asami was demented... and she was angry. She clutched her fists together, stepping outside and heading down the road. It was dark, and usually, she'd be afraid... but now, she knew there was nothing to fear. Her tormentor was no longer a faceless wonder. She knew exactly what she was going up against... and she only knew of one thing to make it stop. He had to be taken care of.
_______She met up with the drunken male half way, and she only glared as he stumbled. "Manami-chan~ I came to stay with you so we can snuggle and stuff~" Manami's eyes darkened, her tear flow beginning again. "Are you sure, Asami? Or did you come here to give me another heart attack?!" Asami flashed a goofy smile. "What the hell you talkin' about?"
_______"Stop lying to me!" The girl lunged toward the male, who's goofy smile finally disappeared. She was... having a fit. With her teeth, she grabbed a hold of his arm and drew blod. He had no idea what else to do... so he ran. He ran as fast as his wobbly legs would carry him, but she only followed at top speed. He stumbled into his own home, looking for something, anything to defend himself... a golf club was the closest thing. He stepped outside after pushing through the door and flailing Manami, swinging somewhat lopsidedly. "I'm taking you to the hospital, Manami-chan!"
_______Manami frowned, her arms hanging low only momentarily. "I hate you, Asami. I hate you! Look what you did to me! I'll kill you!" Asami staggered back as she lunged again. Gasping as he tried to keep up with her swings, he felt her nails scrape against the skin of his cheek, and then again at his arm. His own eyes began to water. "Manami-chan, please, why are you doing this?" His voice shaked as he pleaded, but at this point, she could no longer hear him. She wanted him dead... he had made her into an animal... and his blood would be the first she tasted. After tangling with the girl for quite some time, his grip on the golf club loosened, and it was knocked out of his hands. She grinned. "Pay for what you did to me!" She knocked him to the ground painfully and then prepared for her jump, and out of despair, he shuffled out of the way, grabbing a hold of the golf club, screwing his eyes shut... and swinging. He heard a splat... and swung again... and again... and again. Panting, the boy ceased, allowing the club to fall to the ground as he caught his breath. "Manami-chan... Manami-chan..." He opened his eyes... and almost screamed.
_______The body of the one he loved the most lied on the ground, mamed and torn into pieces. Her eyes were not only bloody... but black and tear-stained. "A... sa... mi... ku.." And then, her body began to shut down... she twitched violently, the muscles contracting and the organs slowly coming to a hault. She was dying in front of her eyes and not only was it his fault, but... there was nothing he could do about it. For about three minutes, the body twitched, gasped and screamed... and suddenly, it all stopped... and Asami could only laugh. "Come on Manami, joke's over! Wake up!" Even his attempt at denying what was in front of him couldn't shield him from the truth... she was gone... forever. Suddenly, his tear flow became faster... harder... and he fell to the ground, gasping for air. He couldn't believe it... she was dead... and more importantly, he'd now be sent to prison for murder... no. He wiped his eyes (to no avail; the tears were overflowing), stood up and gathered the evidence, smiling as his vision became blurrier. Sadness and alcohol was not a good mixture. He slowly threw snow over it all, smiling some. "I'd cover you with flowers but spring isn't here yet. Sorry Manami-chan~"
_______And then morning arrived.

_______"Arigatou gozaimasu, Totouya-sensei."

_______Asami clutched his head, releasing a groan or two as reality smacked him in the face. Totouya smiled, standing once more, and then revealing the large object that he had brought along with him. "You are a murderer, Asami-kun... you murdered the only person who cared about you. And now, you'll be locked up in jail for the rest of your life... what do you want to do? Do you want to waste away in a cell for the rest of your life or do you want to see Manami... right now?" He sniffled, clutching onto the therapist's legs to help himself up, and then he smiled weakly. "But how?"
_______"Asami-kun," His eyes became pale slivers. "Do you want to die?"
_______"... I want to die." His voice was weak and quiet, but he sounded more than sure.
_______His sobs echoed throughout the forest and soon, they were over thrown with the sound of a chainsaw. The charcoal-tressed male placed it in the hands of the blonde and the teen gulped... he almost had second thoughts... but Totouya provided his assistance. Slowly, the motor and the saws sliced into the boy's leg, and every rotation made him scream in agony. "Manami-chan! Manami-chan!" His sobs were almost unrecognizable over the grit of the machine... and Totouya could only laugh. One leg was gone, and the boy was already writhing in pain. "I.. I'm sorry... M.. Manami-chan... I d... don't want to die yet...!" His words were interrupted by gasps and gurgles. Totouya shook his head and smiled. "It's too late now, Asami. The game is over." The chainsaw was put back into the blonde's hands, and with a little extra push from the therapist, the next leg was chopped off. They had a noticeably harder time when they got to the bone, but they pushed harder and harder until one would think the blades had broke, but as the maimed piece of flesh fell to the ground, Totouya's smile grew from ear to ear. His arms were the next to go. Finally, he was left with nothing but a head and a stump of a body. "I better finish up before you die of blood loss~" And as Asami gasped and choked on himself, Totouya lowered the chainsaw, and with one clean swing, the boy's life was over, and his head lied a few feet from the stumpy torso. "Asami-kun, you were a good kid... you were just too gullible for your own good. Honestly, Manami was more of a challenge..." The chainsaw was shut off, and the body was covered with leaves. "There... now you're just like Manami-chan. ... No, you're better than Manami-chan was. You're a masterpiece."

_______"The body of Hayuata Asami was found at the curb of the Miakaimo train station located near the shores of Odaiba. Though originally police had thought this to be the start of a chain of serial murderers, investigators have passed this off as a suicide. Hayuata-san was to be arrested for the murder of the previously slaughtered Hoshino Manami but had ran off. When police had finally found him, he was in the same condition Hoshino had been found in. It has been said that Hoshino and Hayuata were lovers, and so it is believed Hayuata committed suicide with a chainsaw to be reunited with her and escape the law. In more local news..."

I thought it was cool. Pretty well written the plot is interseting and I love the theme to this. Through I'm not really fond of using japanese words in english sentances it did sorta give a good effect.
The format is a bit odd though at times it was hard to read with the format but I managed to read it in the end.

Good job.
