all you're arguments I find both stupid and not worth the time it took me to read them.
Todoroki Is: What you say is exactly what the whistle blowers are saying. What is wrong with watching someone doing it, just don't put up what they did without them in it. Um, well... other then the fact that it is boring as hell....? Nope only reason. And as for internet laws, come on man.. there aren't any, that is just some snow-baller's way to push some more limitations down our throats! I mean if you want to get down to all that copyright junk, then maybe 80% of PC should be put in Jail for having banners that do not have characters made by them. But you know what, we aren't going to jail because that is just stupid. Pictures are pictures, Music on fan-made AMV's is called free advertisement, it's not like the singers or the writers get enough money from the record companies anyway.
I mean dude, they want to toss us into jail for having our car radios on to loud. Honestly, WTF is up whit that?!
So I say, download and share my brothers, File-sharing is not illegal! so neither is sharing the Videos we work on for 3 hours.
The RIAA can kiss my smooth bronzed butt!
I am not buying any CD's if I like I song, I'm getting it from the guy I heard it from.
If I like a movie, I'm borrowing it from my friends.
WTH would you want to buy a game, or read a book if someone already showed you how it went from beginning to end? That is just lazy.
If you see something, and you like it, download it... play/read/watch/listen to it. and if you really like it. Share it my brothers. Share it with the world. And then, later, use the video/song to make a tribute to how much you liked it. Tell the world that you love them, and trust me... that is all it will takes for the god damn ratings to go sky high, and they will win a people's choice award.... and they will be happy. And the Record companies... will be very sad...
And that my friends, is how it should be.
I would rather see the artists, selling their own stuff. On a pay what you want basis.
RadioHead kicks so much patuty for that.
Don't deal with companies... they make the fans loose interest in you.
There I am spent. for the time being.
You obviously have no concept of economics. Although the music artists may get pennies, the record labels are the ones who fund the equipment, recording, and advertising, not to mention the manufacturing and distributing of CDs, DVDs, and whatever else you might want. If the record labels or movie studios go out of business, you are out of luck. It is because of people like you that smaller companies are going out of business. It is because of people like you that we get copy prtection on DVDs that makes it difficult to rip them to a computer. It is because of people like you that places like Amazon music downloads lock music tracks to the computer that they were purchased from. In other words, it is because of people like you, who circumvent laws like these, that sites like Youtube have to do this in the first place. Yes, that music was cool while it was on youtube, but every time you watched it there, you cost the record company and the artist a little more money that could have been used to create even more great music. Yes, that DVD may look nice when you download it from a file sharing website, but it doesn't look so nice when you get a cease and desist order from the national government. (They actually do monitor those sites, btw. I have several friends who have recieved such letters, listing every illegal download they had made within the last two years) Not to mention what will happen if the police ever have a reason to look at your computer. You have a fine of up to $10,000, plus jail time if they convict you of that. Is that worth not paying a little bit for a music album or DVD? And, by copyright laws, if you share something you legallypurchased, you get an even higher fine. Youtube is letting you guys off easy. They could just as easily be reporting you to the feds and letting them haul you guys off to court.
It has actually.
But say what you want about me dude. You could never understand. You are probably one of those people that sees a CD they like and cares not what it costs you just buy it huh?
Actually, most of us care quite a bit about what the CDs cost. Unlike you, we actually either earn or save up the money we use to buy the Cd. We understand the value of a dollar, and we understand that when something is worth the money we pay, it is worth the money we pay. As I said, by not buying the CDs, you not only break Federal and international laws and treaties, but you also cost the record labels money that they could have used to release even more good music that would be worth buying. If you don't think that the music is worth paying for, you are either an immature child regarding how you handle money, or you shouldn't be listening to the music, because it obviously isn't worth your valuable time either.
I apologize if this came off as harsh, but the copyright laws are there for a reason. How would you like it if your company was going out of business because your products were being pirated more than bought? How would you like it if someone could use anything you owned, without your permission, and without paying you a cent?
