I didn't see this up there so........How about a Legendary of Ghosts? Like it wonders around and collects energy from the ghost pokemon, and then later on when challenged, hunting, or some other thing it uses its stored power for that certain job. It would also be the ruler and commander of all ghost typed pokemon.

So there are no legendarys? You do know there is a new invention called trading right?
OKay let me rephrase all of this. If you can only get one WITH ONE GAME CARD THINGY AND YOUR GAME CARD THINGY ONLY! AKA you can only get another one by trading, hacking, and/or glitching.

I reckon we'll get perfect neo-Pokemon legendaries in Gen V to finish the franchise. They're the only thing I can think of that could feasibly be used as a follow-up from Arceus.

Thought I'd like to point out that Regigigas is a golem...

Anyhow, we don't have:
- A Pegasus
- A Gryphon
- A Basilisk

And when looking for representation we don't have:
- A Pokemon of Light (Sun is really Ho-oh)
- A Pokemon of the West Wind (North Wind is associated with Water; West Wind is a zephyr)
- A Pokemon of Shadows, of Darkness, of Suspense.

And those all go together pretty well. I might be missing something, but I'm pretty sure they would work...

I would also like to point out that Arceus is the God that created Sinnoh, not necessarily the world. So... there could be room for more. Also, like Greek Mythology, Pokemon could have multiple Gods with similar status.

The ancients would obviously list it down as creating "Sinnoh" because before, Sinnoh was their whole world.
Pokemon does have multiple gods - Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza, perhaps other legendaries too. Arceus is the creator.

Oh and I meant they should stop bringing out new Pokemon when I said "end the franchise". Although a special new one here and there might be okay, another full fledged set after V probably won't do so well. We should get new regions for old Pokemon.

Hmmm... I always thought that Arceus only created the 3 elves, Palkia, Dialga, Cresselia (or whatever) and Darkrai... although not entirely sure about the last two, and that was it.

Gamefreak is brewing with ideas. I just know it.

Anyhow, it's important to point out that the two Pokemon considered "creators", Mew and Arceus, came out with two generations inbetween. They could easily continue the franchise with that mindset, keeping Arceus the strongest and yet bringing more and more legendaries in.

We need a Poison Legend. Something like a horrible creature who lives in the deepest jungle and with a deadly poison. It should be the most dangerous Pokemon of all.

And also, Vulpix's idea of a 'Ghost Ruler' sounds pretty cool ;)

They are kinda under Atmospheric i think

Oh and this is what I think. If you can only get one without hacking, its a legendary.
So sudowoodo is a legendary?
Sweet!

As far as ideas for legendaries goes, how about four pokemon that control each season: Summer, Fall, Winter Spring.
Or, at least just spring and summer. If they were the two "version" legendaries, like groudon-kyogre and dialga-palkia, they could be equally strong against each other if they were fire/dragon and ice/dragon. Dragon is weak to ice, but the fire half would resist it. Ice is weak to fire, but the dragon half would resist it.

So in R/B/Y Eevee its evolutions and the starters from those games and there evos are legenderies? Are you also implying that beldum in R/S/E is also legendery? You are also implying that no pokemon is legendery because you can get pokemon from events, so you must count those. If events don't count then event-only obtainable pokemon like darkrai don't exist and aren't legends then.Sorry, but you need to try harder. :/ hehehe, I love tearing apart arguments :3

They could also use the Gorgon, which would most likely turn into poison or something. I think they should lay off of the dragon and bird thing, that's done. Now create different Legendaries. Like a bunny 8D Okay, no. But a snake would be cool, or a cat. As far s I know there isn't a leopard pokemon. Entei could qualifuy as a lion but technically he's a legendary 'dog'. Monkey's would be cool too, but maybe the humanoid thing is a little overdone too. (Counting Mew and Mewtwo as humanoid pokemon).

Since they're always in need of one cute Legendary (At the least) a bunny wouldn't be so bad, maybe a little turtle, that'd be so cute.
I think they should stick to the animal pokemon, we all saw what became of most the pokemon in R/E/S, no offense.

Raikou is not a "dog of lightning," dood. He controls thunder. Also he is a cat, like the other legendary "dogs."

Anyway, we need a river spirit. And a Kappa pokemon.

Giratina is a basilisk.

Well, I think Nintendo isn't running out of ideas, there are still more to choose from.

Giratina can't turn things to stone.
And hey, it isn't ugly, you!

But, but @Jupiter Version - We can't just make every mythological creature into a legendary. They need to rule over some sort of domain or something.

Yes, but it fully resembles a basilisk, I doubt there will be another basilisk legendary unless it is a twin of Giratina. But, Giratina can end a person's life which is similar to turning to stone. Yep, it isn't ugly! XP

How do you know what a basilisk looks like?
If you saw one, you would be a statue by now XD

And back on topic:

We need legendaries embodying the cardinal sins; like Lust & Avarice.

I believe your thinking of Medusa. A basilisk kills you if you look directly into it's eyes. Medusa turns you to stone if you look directly at her. Even so, you can still look upon a Basilisk, just not at it's eyes.

I think they should try something new and instead focus on the event only pokemon. Instead of just creating new legendaries in a futile attempt to one-up themselves.

I personally believe they are going to have Arceus not be the one and only pokegod. But then there are going to be many others including one boss pokegod. Then after that a god above that and above that. Eventually Nintendo will run out of ideas.
