Okay, so I mostly use textures when I make icons. And, most of these are of Kumi. lol @ obsession. ANYWAY!

Yep. Also, I'm not sure if it's okay to post animated icons? I have a few of those too, so if it's alright, I'll post some of those. :]

I need a love song. <3

Well, some of the icons look quite monotone. They also have that really "over-sharpened" look, try blurring on some? I don't really know even if the images were like that to start, but just giving my advice. It would also be easier if you tell us what program you're using as my advice would be a bit clearer.

This:

The text looks quite strange. Have you tried looking on websites like dafont.com for downloadable fonts? Most of your icons also have borders - although I'm really not a fan of them, if you want to use borders, try picking some nicer colors that will make the icon stand out.

Another thing you could try (assuming you have a program that contains one of these features) is duplicating the layer and setting it to soft light, to kind of fix the quality, while blurring some parts to make it look more smoother. If Soft Light's not working, try to change the opacity or use Curves adjustment layers or Brightness/Contrast adjustment layers.

There's plenty of great features on programs like GIMP, PSP, or photoshop. Channel Mixer, Color Balance, Selective Coloring, etc would make the icon look much prettier. You can look at some tutorials if you haven't - livejournal.com has really nice ones. Overall, I'm not saying these are bad icons, but I sure you can improve. You choose such pretty images. :D

Well, I use Photoshop 7, and sometimes I can use CS4. I'll try the soft light thing, thanks for the advice. :]
Also, I got the font I used for that one on dafont? 04b...something. I don't remember the name of it. I think it just looks weird because I was messing with the opacity of the font? Haha.
Also, what do you mean by monotone? :]

I meant by monotone is that they have alike-looking coloring, the same textures, borders, etc. All that I meant was try to spice up your coloring. Also, if you really want to use textures, try and erase some parts so that they don't cover the whole icon. Just throwing out a bunch of my advice, rofl. \o/
