Gah...I'm the type of person who needs to write at least three fics at once. XD Mm, I would rate this PG or less.

Chapter One: Trouble on the Road

Eileen yawned lazily. Her neighbour, a thin blonde girl, shot her a reproachful look.

"Try to cover your mouth next time," she said stiffly.

Eileen rolled her eyes. "I did, if you didn't notice. What are you, half-blind?"

She pursed her lips and sniffed, jerking her head in the opposite direction. Eileen raised her eyebrows and shrugged. Suddenly, she felt the bus screech to an abrupt stop. At first, everyone in the bus was silent, save for a few curious murmurs. Then, a split second later, a strange pounding noise was heard, getting louder and louder.

Eileen poked her head out of the window. Squinting, she made out a group of small dots over the horizon. They slowly got closer and closer, and, with a jolt of surprise, she realized that they were a herd of Tauros.

"It's a herd," she said quietly.

The driver whistled, impressed. Now they could hear the thunderous sound of diamon-hard hooves pounding the road's solid rock. A few passengers, no doubtly the weaker trainers, ducked under their seats, panicking. Most of the people, however, grinned at the sight of the new challenge. But Eileen simply laid back on her seat, staring at the ceiling.

Mmm, yeah, just a bunch of Tauros. Nothing to worry about. I'll let these guys take care of things.

She eyed the jumble of excited trainers dully. Then, yawning again, she flipped over, trying to block off the deafening roar of the now very close Tauros.

I seriously need some sleep, she commented, already drifting away. Good old sleep...

BANG.

Something rammed into the the front of the bus. It tilted over, falling sideways. Eileen, growling, got to her feet and marched angrily towards the exit...which was unfortunately impossible to open since the bus had fallen over. Fuming, she took the broom laying on the ground near the entrance and smashed the front window, despite the driver's desperate cries. She hopped out of the vehicle, finding herself face to face with a wild Tauros.

"You," she spat through clenched teeth. "interrupted my nap."

The Tauros charged at her. She threw herself aside, kicking up clouds of dirt as she rolled back up. Grunting, she snatched the Pokeball at her waist and tossed it into the air. It snapped open with a loud pop, a mass of red light escaping from it. The light took form on the ground behind the Tauros, and, as the it faded away, revealed the figure of a large, cat-like creature. Its white fur was streaked with red, while its left eye bore a red scar. It flexed its massive claws, eager for battle and waved its long, bushy tail around, agitated.

"Zangoose, Crush Claw!" Eileen ordered. Tauros was strong, but not fast: that, she knew.

Tauros charged in again. But Zangoose easily swept to its side, where it slashed it viciously with its huge and sharp claws. The Tauros let out a cry, then attempted to slam into the mongoose-like Pokemon. Zangoose jumped aside swiftly, landing a few feet away, where it crouched down into a leaping position.

"Now, get him from above with Iron Tail," Eileen told it.

The Tauros lowered its head, showing off its two exceptionally sharp and deadly-looking silver horns. It charged once again towards Zangoose, who pounced onto its back. The bull Pokemon shook itself furiously, pounding the ground as it tried to shake its enemy off. Zangoose raised its tail, which now glowed with a bright light, and struck the Tauros with it, ramming it into the hard ground.

"Good, now finish it off with Quick Attack," Eileen commanded.

Zangoose took off in a burst of speed, a flash of white trailing behind it, and crashed into the Tauros, making it skid across the bumpy road, to finally come to a halt many meters away. The bull gave one last jerk, then went still.

"Well, that certainly wasn't very hard," Eileen grimaced. She returned her Pokemon to its Pokeball. Turning around, she noticed that many other trainers had gathered, either to battle against another Tauros or to watch the fights. She spotted the sissy blonde one spying on her suspiciously from behind the window. She, it seemed, had not taken one step off the safety of the bus.

I don't get it. How'd she get past the entrance exam if she's not even able to beat some wild cow? Eileen wondered, frowning. Makes no sense.

After a short while, once all of the Tauros were taken care of and moved to the other side of the road, the trainers helped the driver lift the bus and took off again. Most of the trainers were chattering excitedly, telling the others about their spectacular feat. Of course, some of them had to huddle on the floor, mainly due to the fact that the wind was blowing fiercely from the big gap in the front window. (The driver shot Eileen a nasty look.)

Smiling sheepishly, Eileen gazed out her window, looking at the never-changing scenery that flew by. Then, sighing, she curled up in her seat, finally ready to take that nap.

Fuyu

... Interesting. I'm not sure where you're headed plot-wise so I'll keep quiet about that for now. Eileen's funny. It seems rather short but that's just my crazyness about writing a lost talking so ignore it! See you soon! -Fell
"Perhaps I misjudged you after all."

OMG, somebody actually replied to one of my threads an hour after I posted it? O_O Well...this is a first. XD Nobody usually posts anything, even after two weeks. Anyway, I appreciate that you posted, and I'd like to tell you that chapter two'll be up tomorrow. (You see, when I write fics, I think out the plot and write the actual thing on the spot. So YAY, I get motivated to write when somebody replies! :P)

Mmm, yeah, Eileen's your average sarcastic lazy bum. xD
