So you guys next week is election week, and in Iceland we have over 10 spots, I'm offering myself for 4 of them, President, Publicity Manager, Acting Group Leader (I'm willing to be a normal Acting group member, there are 4 spots there open), Artist Group Leader.

So I was thinking, do you guys think I should go all Reece Witherspoon on this, I've started on the banners, and I wanted to make a computer one, what is the size for an A4 paper (I'm using gimp).

So does your school have an student council?

I get payed 150 dollars per month if I get the president spot.

I need ideas people, what can I do, I have 2 day next week to do what ever I can to convince people, then after that is election day (Wednesday, so please help me).

Lol, I guess you guys really take this stuff seriously over there in Iceland. Every school I've been to had school elections, but they're were just .. nothing. They didn't get to really do anything, except write an article for the school newspaper.. Hell, the prom committee had way more responsibility than these guys.
Freedom is the freedom to say two plus two equals four. If that is granted all else will follow.

Yes, yes they do. Our school counsil actually do something!

They, organize fund-raisers, make the daily morning announcements, organize clubs, make default meetings, announce or inform someone else to cancel clubs, sports, or meetings due to unexpected weather, award prizes to sport members, organize dances, etc...

I was once a member of the school counsil. That is, until it became too stressing. They don't pay us, however.

I applied for my school council in my last year of high school because all my friends were doing it. [/lame] I was the only one that got in. -_-;

In my school you just put your name on a sheet and your teachers get asked whether or not they think you would be a good candidate. You haven't said how members are chosen. If the pupils in your school vote I don't think theres much you can do. People usually just vote for their friends... or friends of friends.

Well election is over, I made it as the Publicity Manager, I wanted the President spot ;; lost there by 11 votes, the stupid b**** that won took down my poster and one in front of me. We had an hughes fight, but it didn't not get physical I would have lost cause she's so fat, well now she has the payed spot, there is always next year.

At least I get a school lap top to use for personal gain trough out the next semester, and I get to spend my time between classes in the Student Council office, they have candy in there, that they sell or give away in events, were allowed to have some, as long as we don't take the whole thing, I swear I saw that stupid girl stuffing her bag with Coke, sugary coke, as she can afford that.

Well I'm happy that I got a spot, I'd be happier if I'd gotten the one I wanted, but thats life.
