I actually watched a bit of the anime, but haven't played the games. The designs just look pretty stupid to me. :\
They are! The premise is that you've got humans combining with monsters/EM-beings, so, naturally, you get ridiculous-looking characters.

I haven't had a chance to really play Starforce yet.
Did you play any of Battle Network? For the first one, at least, it's the same deal--lots and lots of computers/wave holes. If you didn't like BN, you might wanna keep it that way-

Yeah, I liked BN, but I'm a little iffy on the one row deal you get instead of having the same amount as the enemy.

It IS Battle Network but, at the same time, isn't. You don't need to worry about panel grabbing 'cause it's just not the style. I mean...so hard to explain...it sounds from the reviews and first glance that they completely eliminated strategy, but that's not it at all. The near-FPS look it gets brings a more realistic flavour to the fighting 'cause you fight the EM-beings head-on. I guess I can't defend it because I really haven't given it a second thought since before I started the series :/...

Yep, an Okami character is the final boss character, just as it was in the original game. It has three forms. I don't think that its playable though.
Yeah...I don't think he's playable. Or I haven't unlocked him yet ~.~

Yeah, I liked BN, but I'm a little iffy on the one row deal you get instead of having the same amount as the enemy.
Yeah....3 rows compared to 1 is hurtful ~.~. But it's actually not too bad. Although it feels like a different game, it's like BN, with a few changes. Try out the 1st Star Force and see if it's ok.

This does make me curious why they wouldn't release Namco x Capcom in English.
A lot of copyright and licensing issues sadly. It took them nearly 3 months to grab and settle everything for TvC. But there is an English Fan Translation version out though.

What is your favorite Megaman Series?

By far imo, it has to be the X series. Still enjoyable (at least until X6) to re-play and had somewhat of an intriguing storyline. Gameplay's wonderful, the graphics were nicely done, and you could be X or Zero (after X3).

What is your favorite Megaman Series?

I'm not sure about that one. I like the X series, but honestly, I'm not a big fan of anything after X4. I'll go with classic series out of nostalgia. You know how annoyingly hard Megaman and Megaman 2 are? Plus, the classic series music is definitely my favorite. Protoman is still my favorite Megaman series character too.

What is your favorite Megaman Series?

Hmmm.....
Hard to choose...
I like playing the classic MegaMan & MegaMan X,
(plus, the X series have some of my favorite charaters:
Steel Massimo
Zero
Marino
Gareth
Belkana)
I also love the humorous moment of the Battle Network series,
I found the story of the Star Force game touching,
(But I've only played the first one...)
& I've happy times playing MegaMan legends...
(MegaMan 64 in my case...)
I also played all the way though the MegaMan Zero games...
Spoiler:
Stopped playing them ever since, as Zero seems to had died in the 4th game...

.........Hard to tell indeed.....
Will anypony volunteer to make me

Yeah, I know that, but all of the characters in it are owned by Capcom & Namco except for 3 or so, which are owned by Atlus I believe.

What is your favorite Megaman Series?
Without a doubt its tied between MegaMan Zero & MegaMan ZX.

The original and Megaman Legends. I really thought the rumor was true for a moment and thought the 3rd game was gonna be announced at E3. I Want To Believe.

I also hope a third one comes out >> Seriously, that's just to cruel to leave the Legends series on a cliffhanger like that. Capcom is worried that it wont make enough money...I'm sorry, but looking at-

1. The ending of MML2
2. The LONG wait for the thing ._.
3. Keiji Inufane has said he wants to continue with the series, not that Capcom cares- they continued the X series without his consent.

I think it'll make money. Sure, it's one of the most underrated Megaman series, but....FLARRRRGH >>

At least Volnutt is going to be on the new "(Whatever-it's-called) vs. Capcom" game....
Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

I'm totally getting it because I love the gameplay, its reminiscent of Marvel vs Capcom 1.

So, I'm going thriugh Megaman Powered Up for the PSP. I forgot how hard the first Megaman was. Anyhow, it's pretty fun. I'd like to see 2-6 get remade like that for the PSP too. Plus, playing as Airman would be awesome.
I plan on buying that now that I have a PSP, do you know if Roll as well as her costumes, are available for download? Roll's a big part of why I want to buy it.

Well, since there hasn't been any discussion in awhile, we will discuss something. Once Star Force 3 comes out, they'll be no upcoming Megaman games (excluding the iPhone ones, iPhone has no gaems).
Anywho, do you think there will be an announcement during ther Tokyo Game Show?
If so, do you think it will be a new game entirely or a sequel?
What would you like to see?

Well, although its only technically a MegaMan game, Tatsunoko vs Capcom is still coming out for fans of Legend's MegaMan Trigger and Classic's Roll.

I don't know really, they may announce a new DS, PSP, WiiWare, PSN, or Xbox Live MegaMan title at the Tokyo Game Show. I doubt we'll see a new console title as Inafune said that a console MegaMan title would "cost too much" without knowing if it would sell well.

Also, I may be buying Mega Man 9 .. It's nails though apparently..Is it really that hard?
I love MegaMan 9, its my favorite in the Classic Series. As far as difficulty goes, its up there with MegaMan 1 & 2. MegaMan controls about the same too. Only three shots of his buster can appear on the screen at a time, he can't do a slide, and there isn't a charge shot. However, you can spend screws to play as MegaMan without his helmet or to change Roll from her 1-7 & Powered Up outfit to her 8 & MvC outfit. You can also spend a little real money to buy ProtoMan Mode where you play as ProtoMan. He controls like MegaMan from the later classic NES games. He can charge his ProtoBuster and perform a slide. He can also use his shield while jumping to reflect some attacks. He takes slightly more damage though and lacks any cutscenes.

I'm going to buy Mega Man Star Force: Leo for about £5...Did anyone think it was any good?
Ahh, Leo...that's the version I played. I enjoyed it, but, if you played BN, you're more-than-likely to be disappointed for some reason I haven't figured out yet.
The protagonist is veeeeeery emo in SF1, but that gives the game overall a little more personality, IMO, than Lan's flatness (barring the ending to BN3). It's worth a go once, although I wouldn't necessarily play it twice. The power ranger shtick was, ehhh...mediocre at best, I won't lie. Finishing the game is also unrewarding, so I'd suggest picking up SF2 right afterwards if you do (while the battle system is still freshly at your fingertips...it doesn't change).[/harshtoagameI'msupposedtobeadvocating]

The nice thing is that it's predictable. You know where the bosses are (you'll find out why), and it sticks to the server-based gameplay BN had (with wave roads acting as the Internet).

Thanks for the great responses guys.

I'm pretty sure I'll get both.

And I'll be getting MegaMan9 >>>>> SSB now. :D
