That is to say, movies that are so dreadful, so unspeakably awful, you have a great time watching them for the sheer spectacle they create.

A couple of my favorites include:

Turkish Star Wars (Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam): Oh lord, where to begin? Turkish Star Wars is an epic patchwork of stock footage, horrible acting, and unforgettable translation errors in the subtitles. Apparently, during the year it was made (1982) it wasn't terribly easy to have an American-made movie imported into Turkey, so they often ended up taking the plot (roughly) of a popular movie, and hammering together a deranged mutant version. Remember kids, cheer during the stock footage of Soviet space launches, they're the good guys...I think.

My favorite line in TSW is: Now everyone will die the primitive way!

Heads Up! You can watch TSW in FULL on google videos, right here! Yup, the full 91 minute barrage of epic failure.

Star Crash: Now this is pretty cool actually, in an awful sorta way.

Hey look! Star Wars! What, get out of my room Mr. Lucas! What are you doing with that lamp- awkjndjkadwga

But really, who were they trying to fool? This was made in 1979, so the original Star Wars was released in 1977, and they were coming up on The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, not cool man. On the bright side, there's a part where men in SPACE TORPEDOES fly through a SPACE WINDOW on a SPACE CASTLE with no decompression. You know you want to watch it...go...now.

Well if you can find it.

So, anybody got any favorite failwin movies? :P

The first thing that comes to mind would be the Super Mario Bros. movie, it definitely falls into the category of "So bad it's good". I'm pretty sure I've got a copy of it on VHS floating around somewhere. xD

Anyway, I remember watching it a few years back and laughing throughout basically the entire thing, even though it didn't really make sense I still loved it.

Yeah, that's a great one, it's amazing how they managed to turn Super Mario into some cyberpunk red light district. Don't feel bad, nobody understood it. :P

HIGH FIVE!
