Possibly the best anime ever made. Anyone else seen it? Probably...Because Adult Swim had it on their line up about a year or so ago. Even if they did get the voices all wrong...Eh...Anyway. I think this is my favorite anime ever...

It is a good show, I do enjoy it and I must say it is riotously funny. The better you know anime the funnier it gets, actually.

As for Pokemon Master: It does have a plot, and a rather classic one. Its a coming-of-age story. Most of the humor is a parody of other anime and/or cultural segments. So anyone who doesn't have at least a basic knoeledge of anime history probably won't get a lot of it.

Edit: DBo9-Now really, no need to do that. He has a different opinion, no need to flame him for it. You really don't help the arguement your own side puts up by flaming the other side.

FLCL is a very good anime. Of course, like others have said, it's a very deep anime and hard to understand. But its whackiness makes up for that. Even though it's hard to understand its whackiness. oO;; What I'm trying to say, it's awesome. But I say it was too short...but it was an OVA, so yeah.... >> << >> <<

Oh yeah, the music pwns you all. I love The Pillows. ^_^

FLCL is not necessarily meant to be understood. This is Gainax we're talking about, here people! They normally make shows like this where you have to be on acid to understand the meaning. That's where this show falls under. But it's in a good way; that's what makes it so freaking funny and nuts!

I've seen it...and I HATE it.
A little more then that would be nice, also to really understand it you need to know at least a little of the Japanese culture, plus it has "deep" meaning like NEG so understanding it would be hard.

Mamimi.

And, I understood FLCL...
It`s about growing up. Naota does things (Such as drinking the sour drinks when he likes the sweet ones,) to seem older than he really is. And if you notice, throughout the series, he matures a lot.
I think the growing up thing has a lot to do with Mamimi calling him TaKun. It`s like when you are a kid, and people are like "Hey, you`re Tasku`s brother, right? Hey, Tasku`s brother," Naota wants to find his place in the world. He feels that if he acts older, he will find it, better.
Also, a bit more in depth thing...I think that the drink doesn`t represent a drink. I think that the sour one means like, when you are older, you are less innocent, you know more, and you miss your childhood. The sweet drink means childhood. It means innocence, and being carefree.
Haruko represents the real world (deciet; how she acts like she loves Naota, then does all of that stuff with his "dad.") And Mamimi represents the world that you are in as a child (notice how immiture she is? And yet she is so serious at the same time. It is exactly like when you`re a kid.)
Another example of the growing up thing is when that girl (I forgot her name,) stays at Naota`s house that night. They have that talk about the glasses thing, and then she ends up using the fake ones. Kids try to grow up quickly, and this is the fake`ness.
The things that come out of Naota`s head mean (I think) resistance of growing up. Those mosters are like things that you are afraid of when you are a child, and stuff.

Theres more to it, but, I`d have to think about it before I say anothing.

I am definetly a Mammimi fan. Although she represented a kid, she also represented imperfection. The smoking and drinking. The problems in her life with parents... She turned to many places/people for love/attention, but she never got what she deserved.

Haruko represented perfection, but her 'perfection' was entirely a lie. Haruko pretended that she loved him, but in the end she only wanted to release Atomsk. She revealed that she never really loved him, and that she only wanted the pirate king.

The only reason I think Naota kissed her at the end was because he was hurt by Mammimi. I guess he deserved it, because he treated her badly, but turning to Haruko wasn't the right thing to do.

Anyways, in the end, all of them left him.
I wish FLCL had a second season... Just 6 more episodes is all I ask for lol
