Hey everyone, I'm trying to train my team. I got all the Pokemon, fresh from Eggs and I'm ready to start EV Training. I'm just wondering if my method will work though...
I already know how many EV's are going into each stat for each Pokemon. So here's how I'm planning on doing it.
First, I'm going to give Vitamins to each Pokemon, making sure I can fill in as much of the EV's I need so it'll be easier to EV Train. ie. My Jolteon needs 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP. I'm giving it 1o Calcium and 1o Carbos and then EV Training the rest.

Secondly, I'm going to give it the Power Items, as well as PokeRus and start to EV Train them. ie. Jolteon. It need more EV's in it's Stats. It's going to wear Power Anklet for 4 more Speed EV's and PokeRus will add more.
**[Random Question. When infected with PokeRus, the PokeRus multiplies first, THEN you add the Power Anklet + EV earned right? ie. My x needs HP EV's. If it has PokeRus + Power Weight or whichever one it needs for HP and it fights a Bidoof, it gets 1 from the Bidoof, times 2 from PokeRus, plus 4 from the Power Item? (1x2) + 4? = 6?]**

And after I finish Training them, they will have the most amount of EV's it can have. Assuming I don't give it any Berries to reduce it's EV's, whatever I fight after all my EV Distrubution, my Pokemon WILL NOT gain any more, correct?

Thanks a lot, I'm just wondering if I'm doing this correctly...
Thanks to anyone who can help me!

Your math is right as far as I can tell. You're doing it right so far. And you're right, the max amount of EVs you can earn is 510, so if you fill them up your pokemon won't gain anymore. Go to sunyshore market and talk to the lady that gives out effort ribbons, if she hands one to your pokemon its EVs are filled up. =)

I think it actually adds first, so (1+4)2= 10, so it's even better :D
These are the correct calculations. With PKRS, power items, and a pokemon that gives 1 EV point, you get 10. With the same conditions and a pokemon that gives 2, you get 12. A pokemon that gives 3, 14. So the most you need to kill per stat would be 16.

Ohh Okay, Thanks a lot!
And if it's not too much trouble, can anyone tell me for sure whether the PokeRus multiplies the EV gained first and then adds the Power Item's +4 ?
So... Is it like. If I kill a Bidoof, I get 1 x 2 from PokeRus = 2 + 4 from Power Weight?
Or is it 1 + 4 from Power Weight x 2 = 1o?
I heard from some people it's 8 and some other people say it's 1o... ?
><;;
Thanks a lot everyone, Haha =)

sorry to hijack your thread but why the stat boost gained from vitamin isnt 4ev=1 stat?
i always get 1 if not zero stat boost everytime i use a vitamin?
The stat changes aren't immediate, because they are distributed as the pokemon levels up. You don't notice the changes until level 100.

When I was EV training my 31 IV HP Dunsparce in my Leaf Green, it's HP when up by 17 during a level-up. When you EV train via battle, the results when you EV train are more easilty seen in the +stats Screen that appears with each level-up. Vitamins Increase the EV instantly(As in, you don't need to level-up for it to take effect), so it's less apparent.

hi thanks for the reply.

is it possible for me to retrain my ev using berries that decrease ev value?
if so how does it work and does it have any limitations?

my pokemon isnt lvl 100 yet.
I believe (from just reading a little here and there -.-) that when you have over 100 EV's in a stat using 1 berry takes it down to 100. When it gets lower then 100, one berry takes away 10 EV's.
And yes, you can re-EV train your Pokemon as long as they aren't lvl 100.

Wasn't this answered in the posts above it :S

The +4 is given by the power items, not vitamins. Vitams give 10 EV's, power items give an extra 4 in a certain stat whenever you kill a certain Pokemon. So it would be like 10x10 vitamins = 100 EV's (As that's the most vitamins you can use) and then (1+4)*2 = 10 For the rest of the EV training, should you be training on a Pokemon that gives 1 EV. If it gives 2 EV's you'll be getting 12 a kill.
