What are your top ten favorite music albums of this decade? If I'm corrected, it should be (2000 - 2009). [correct me if I'm wrong] On your list, it doesn't have to be the same music genres, but you can do it if you want to.

If you don't know the names of the albums you like the best, Wikipedia may help:

Only this decade? =[
At least that makes choosing a lot easier, only a handful of my albums are post-2000.

1. Elbow - Leaders Of The Free World
2. Daft Punk - Discovery
3. Rammstein - Mutter
4. Faithless - Forever Faithless
5. Dom & Roland - Through The Looking Glass
6. Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid
7. Deadmau5 - Random Album Title
8. The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die
9. Kasabian - Empire

It took me a while to decide what should get the last place, in the end I decided to give it to 'Scooter - Push The Beat For This Jam' generally I don't like Scooter at all; although 5 of the songs on this album I really liked and I felt it deserved a mention more than any other of my post-2000 albums.

Experimental and progressive alternative metal.

Nine:: ADULT. - Why Bother?
Blippy and grim dance music.

Collaboration between Madlib and MF DOOM. Memorable beats and rhymes.

Greatest hip-hop album of all-time. Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind's production with the best lyricist in the 20th and 21st Century.

Three: Thee Oh Sees - The Master's Bedroom is Worth Spending a Night In
Psychedelic garage rock. Nancy Sinatra joins The Rolling Stones.

I'll finish this post later.

1. Envy - Abyssal
"Somewhere hidden inside of the squall of this hardcore thrashing is the voice of God. There is no other explanation for this record... ...Firmly ensconced in both hardcore and the type of post-rock that Mogwai provides, the group meshes the two genres together into a neatly packaged product. And it’s a product that if they continue to sell, I will continue to buy without any qualms."
2. Sigur Rós - Takk...
3. Emancipator - Soon It Will Be Cold Enough
"At first listen, ‘Soon It Will Be Cold Enough’ is a fluid amalgam of seminal lounge artists. The first track, ‘Eve’, for example, contains icy droplets of keyboard a la Mike Oldfield combined with wordless vocals that are melodically very similar to Royskopp’s ‘So Easy’, only here they are muffled and swathed in effects until they sound like winter wind."
4. Dance Gavin Dance - Downtown Battle Mountain
"From the occassionally grating but always powerful vocals that remind you of American Idol somewhat and Britney Spears none-what, you are literally roped into songs like "Antlion" with the pure energy of the vocals and the wild guitars all the way to the compelling drums and bass. This altogether probably makes DGD one of the most cohesive bands out there."
5. This Town Needs Guns - Animals
"I always seem to picture the band’s guitar parts as huge pencils that spit out elegant calligraphy. It’s beautiful but hard to take in at once. Animals needs a large chalkboard and plenty of chalk. You’ll be sure of your favorite track one day and question such a choice the next. Maybe today it’s the way Smith worries about using pills on “Pig”, but tomorrow the billowing strings of “Rabbit” might knock you down. Study Animals with the diligence it deserves and you’ll walk away with a knowledge you never expected."
6. 65daysofstatic - The Fall of Math
"Music’s about escapism, right? About taking you somewhere otherworldly, somewhere else. This album is a dark, tempestuous but highly inviting place that you could quite easily lose yourself in, and there’s a real chance that you won’t want to return. Further artillery against the argument that music isn’t exciting at the moment."
7. Circle Takes the Square - As the Roots Undo
8. As Cities Burn - Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest
9. Foxy Shazam - The Flamingo Trigger
10. Minus the Bear - Highly Refined Pirates

Honorable Mention:
Mew - And The Glass Handed Kites

Foxy Shazam is very good live. The Flamingo Trigger rules.
I was hesitant to name it a top 10 album of the decade for me, but it was an anthem for me at one point in my life and I was very into it. It really does have a step on pretty much everything out there. It's got a little something for everyone and it's just a fun album. I can't find a fault or a track that I'm not fond of (one pre-requisite for a great album for me is having no filler).
