[AGELIMIT]Mature Audiences! Be cautious, some scenes, *might*be gruesome. I advise younger people to stay away[/AGELIMIT]
Rating: M+ Most likely a mature, but could go higher.
Theme/Genre: A dark original story based off Paleopaganism and Wiccan ideals and beliefs, but mixed with many differences.
Brief Summary: In the year xxxx, humans have been discovered with strange abilities. They have been given the codename: Wych. Many humans have this ability, in fact, most do, but not all can control it and harness it. The main protraganists are a boy and girl who deeply believe in Witchcraft.

I know this is short. To me, a prologue is something that is supposed to get someone hooked, and interested. The later chapters will be more deeply detailed. Oh, and I know I am not a super duper writer. My writing probably seems dull and tasteless. Do not leave pointless comments saying " I lyk dis, (#1-10/((#10), and small thing of how you do or do not like it. Leave a rating, if you'd like, but post some crit. I know that you can find something, so don't say, "It was good, but I can't find any errors." Use the Vm or PM system for such. You may also post and ask questions. Oh, and do not ever say "When will the next chapter be up" It will be up when it is up.

Salem Village Foot Hills
October 31, 1692.

A small crow perched upon a branch. It eyed the countless groups of people; people that were searching for something. The rain was heavy, the thunder loud. Most villagers were clad in rain resistant clothing. Not only were there adults, but children too. The children were forced to look and scour the hills to aid the search. The desperation of the citizens was extremely high, they were relying on children. The bird couldn't help but titter, which gave it away. A human scooped up a rock, and tossed at the bird, but that only left a flurry of feathers, the bird was gone. Where had it gone? Only it knew. High above the highest clouds, the bird flew, it looked down upon the humans, but they were to far to see, at least, for a normal crow. The crow zoomed in its vision, and saw each human. Worry grew on their faces, and many of them just wanted to go home, and believed they were on a wild goose chase. The humans would have a hard time finding what they were looking for, the forest was not normal. The crow perched on a branch, and watched the people scurrying around. The humans began to advance, and were drawing near what the crow was protecting. A blink, and the forest had re-arranged itself, soon the invaders would find themselves descending down upon their village. One man, however, turned away from the crowd, he knew which way to go. But how? The only way is that if he was a - that was bad. The crow quickly turned away.

It jetted through the forest at speeds far greater than any creature could go. The many branches and subsided trees led to quite the obstacle course. A quick turn made for a narrow escape from a head on collision. Without wasting anytime, the bird flew off into the trees, entering a part of the forest with many vines, he up to a throne constructed of stone, and covered in vines. He perched on the shoulder of the wych* sitting there. "My master, one of th-the humans, is s-something more than a human..." The bird was afraid of what the wych could do. Fear showed great on his face. A pale hand with long, black finger nails reached out from the shadows, two fingers placed on the bottom of the bird's chin, one atop its head.

"Do not fret. Why ruffle your feathers when there is no need?" questioned the wych.

"M-m-my mistress, he is approaching, and from the looks he is dangerous. I just think that -"

"Think what? That I cannot defend myself?"

"No, that.. it would be in your best interest to.. to leave, I am worried about you." he crowed.

The wych gave a small chuckle. "Then, allow me to end your worries."

"W-what do you mean!?" questioned the creature.

The mistress did not answer, and just squeezed the bird's head until it exploded. Small gray chunks fell to the ground, covered in blood. The wych stepped and squished the chunks some more, it was like stepping on gum, they way it just mushed up and clung to her foot. "Pity, he was quite the crow." With that, the wych reached down to her foot and pulled off a chunk of the brain, the chunk had the most blood. She popped into her mouth and ate it. "It is rare that I get delicacies like this." she exclaimed aloud, before turning into the creature whom's brain she had consumed. With that, she flew away, undetected.
